Chapter 435: Chapter 420 Traffic Restriction Order
Long Chen’s words further infuriated Li Yuechan.
Li Yuechan took a deep breath, calmed her emotions, and said sternly, "My father has made it clear to me that if you do not leave Emperor City, a restriction order will be placed upon you. That means, in Emperor City, you will be unable to take a single step freely, no hotel will dare to accommodate you, no restaurant will dare to serve you, and no place will dare to shelter you.
So, if you are smart, you will leave early. Do not escalate the situation further."
"Does your father have that much power?" Long Chen scoffed. "Since you’ve said that, let me make it clear to you. Not only will I stay in Emperor City, but I will also build a house here. Whoever dares to stop me, I will kill them. Great Xia Mansion has the authority to slay anyone who creates chaos, including your father."
"Let’s see who can punish whom. Take care of yourself."
Li Yuechan turned around and left.
Long Chen watched Li Yuechan’s departing figure and immediately left in the completely opposite direction.
Half an hour later, Long Chen arrived at a hotel.
When Long Chen took out his ID to check in, the receptionist’s face changed upon seeing Long Chen’s name, hastily returned the ID to Long Chen, and apologetically said, "Sir, I’m sorry, our hotel is fully booked."
"Weren’t there rooms available just now?" Long Chen frowned.
"I’m really sorry, sir. Please try another hotel."
the receptionist whispered.
Long Chen put away his ID and left the hotel.
However, in the next few hotels he tried, even though rooms were clearly available, they all refused Long Chen accommodation upon seeing his name on his ID.
"It’s really interesting to be a Prince."
A smile played on the corner of Long Chen’s lips.
Chu Ling’s influence was indeed not to be underestimated.
He had been in Emperor City for only half an hour, yet he had already managed to make all hotels dare not accept him.
Long Chen took a deep breath and entered a restaurant.
But as soon as he got to the restaurant, Long Chen found that the restaurant was checking the ID of every patron.
The same was true for other nearby restaurants and eateries.
Long Chen tried, and sure enough, upon seeing his name, the restaurant refused him entry.
Long Chen also tried to hail a taxi, but the taxi drivers did not dare to let him on board.
Everything seemed like Chu Ling was flaunting his power and threatening him.
Long Chen was very curious as to why Chu Ling had such great power.
After all, managing these feats was not an easy task.
Ding...
Just then, Long Chen received a call from an unknown number.
"Who is it?"
Long Chen asked.
"It’s Chu Ling."
Chu Ling’s voice came through.
"Spit it out."
Long Chen did not use a friendly tone.
Hearing this, Chu Ling’s gaze turned icy. "Boy, I am calling you myself to give you face, do not overstep."
"What kind of talk is that?" Long Chen taunted. "Giving me face by having all the hotels, restaurants, and eateries ban me? What grand face you’re giving."
"If you do not leave Emperor City willingly, then I will see to it that you are barred from leaving Emperor City alive, I’ll have you starve here,"
Chu Ling said sternly.
"Are you out of your mind?" Long Chen scoffed. "It doesn’t matter if those idiotic hotels and eateries ban me. I have ways around it, after all, I’m not short on money. Just you wait.
Moreover, do not try to escalate things further. If you dare to do so, then I dare to kill your men, as many as you send. I’ve recorded this call, and I suggest you record it too. I mean what I say."
With that, Long Chen hung up the call.
At the Chu Royal Mansion, Chu Ling was furiously enraged.
"This damned fool, utterly lawless and outrageously arrogant."
Chu Ling clenched his fist.
"Dad, what do you plan to do about him?"
Li Yuechan asked.
"Expel him from the city forcibly. I don’t believe he’d dare to lay a hand on someone from the Chu Royal Mansion. Attacking my people is akin to attacking King Chu, and that’s no minor offense," Chu Ling said gravely.
"But he said he’s the Lord of the Great Xia Mansion. He dared to say that even if you make a mistake, he would dare to kill you."
Li Yuechan said.
"He dares," Chu Ling said angrily. "I am the brother of Ancestor Xia, and I am King Chu. Let him try to touch me!"
"Alright."
Li Yuechan spoke no further.
Chu Ling then immediately arranged for men to set out and expel Long Chen.
About twenty minutes later, the men sent by King Chu found Long Chen.
This group, consisting of twenty-seven cultivators, stood in a row, their presence formidable.
"Mr. Long, by royal decree, we are here to escort you out of the city."
The person at the forefront stepped forward and said solemnly.
"Have I committed a crime?" Long Chen asked.
"Not at all."
"Is Emperor City owned by Chu Ling? Would you dare claim it is?" Long Chen asked again.
"No."
"So, I am a legitimate citizen?"
"Mr. Long, of course you are."
"Good, since I am a legitimate citizen and Emperor City is not Chu Ling’s, and I haven’t committed any crime, tell me, on what grounds are you expelling me? Think logically, if you weren’t part of the Chu Royal Mansion, you’d be respectable people. If this were to be known to all under heaven in the future, would you have the face to meet others?"
Long Chen spoke righteously.
The group exchanged looks, no one daring to make a move.
Long Chen continued solemnly, "Gentlemen, justice is in the heart of the people. You are all notable figures; just because you have entered the Martial King Mansion doesn’t mean you should distort right and wrong, or act arbitrarily and unreasonably. Please go back.
Of course, if you insist on using force or if you can justify expelling me, I’m not necessarily afraid. You’ve probably heard many stories about me."
"Cough, well then, Mr. Long, we take our leave."
"Take our leave, take our leave."
"Mr. Long, please continue your stroll."
The group turned around, boarded their carriage, and quickly departed.
Long Chen touched his nose and continued walking the streets.
When the group returned to the Chu Royal Mansion and Chu Ling asked about the outcome, they all hemmed and hawed.
"You didn’t accomplish it? From your looks, it doesn’t seem like you fought. What happened?"
Chu Ling asked sternly.
"Your Highness, Long Chen said that he hasn’t committed a crime, secondly, Emperor City is not ours, and thirdly, he is a legitimate citizen. He asked us under what reason we were expelling him and we couldn’t find one, so we came back."
The elderly leader said solemnly and made sure to bow.
"Are you useless?" Chu Ling’s nose nearly crooked in anger: "It was my order to expel him; isn’t that reason enough? Hurry and get out; go and force his expulsion. If you can’t manage it, don’t bother returning."
"Your Highness, the old one feels..."
"Enough, enough, enough, go get it done. I don’t want to hear any reasons or any logic, don’t come back if you can’t do it," Chu Ling scolded.
"Alright."
The group immediately turned around and left to carry out the task.
"Dad, those twenty-seven cultivators are the main force of our Prince Manor, right? What if they all get killed by Long Chen?"
Li Yuechan asked.
"Long Chen can’t kill them," Chu Ling said. "That old fool, his cultivation is just one step from entering Rune Dao. With so many men to face Long Chen, the least they can do is return alive."
