Ji Niandong quickly hailed a taxi and got in, finally letting out a heavy sigh of relief, though her heart was still pounding fiercely.

If she hadn’t thought on her feet and been taken away by them, she really didn’t know what would have happened.

She swallowed hard, took out her phone, and was about to send a message to Lu Beichen, but then she didn’t know what to say.

In the end, she trembled as she held her phone, trying to calm herself.

He wrapped up his work and went to pick up Lu Sinian from class.

"Your use of idioms is pretty good!" Lu Beichen responded placidly while driving.

"You don’t need to act like a good dad in front of Sister Tongtong, you never used to be this good!" Lu Sinian looked at him with disdain.

Lu Beichen still responded calmly, "You do know I’m your dad, right?"

Lu Sinian was rendered speechless, leaning back a bit and closing his eyes, pretending to sleep, before saying, "Can you help me switch to a different activity class tomorrow? I’ve already learned piano!"

"What grade did you reach?" Lu Beichen asked, with a tone of undisguised sarcasm.

"I just don’t want to take the exams!"

"Take the exams before talking about it!"

Lu Sinian immediately puffed his cheeks in frustration, glaring at him sideways.

Just then, Li Yi’s call came in, and Lu Beichen asked, "What’s up?"

"Madam had an argument with other classmates at Sheng Mingyuan’s Studio today and was stopped by them on the road afterwards, nearly taken away."

Lu Beichen’s expression tightened, clearly displeased, and he listened as he was told, "It seems, Madam has been isolated all along!"

"Got it!" Lu Beichen responded lightly, "Now that you’ve found out, you should know what to do! Do it well, don’t let Madam notice!"

As soon as the call ended, Lu Sinian said, "Great Demon, what mischief are you having Uncle Li Yi do again?"

"Someone bullied your Sister Tongtong, and I’m having Li Yi help with the revenge, any objections?" Lu Beichen asked nonchalantly.

"None, absolutely none!" Lu Sinian shook his head with an evil grin, "Since there’s someone so oblivious to dare bully my Sister Tongtong, I’m going to call Uncle Li Yi and make sure that person forgets their own surname!"

He made a show of pretending to take out his phone, but Lu Beichen stopped him, "That’s enough, does your Uncle Li Yi need you to say anything to do his job? Right, be obedient later, don’t let your Sister Tongtong find out that we know she was bullied, or she’ll feel embarrassed and more upset!"

"I know without you telling me!" Lu Sinian retorted defiantly, putting his little phone back into his backpack.
