"Lu Beichen, calm down, your son is in my hands!"

"Ah ah ah, Uncle Zhu, you’re squeezing my back!" Lu Sinian squirmed disdainfully, not wanting to be the shield.

"Don’t move, kid. This mess is all your doing, you should be taking the heat upfront!"

He whispered in Lu Sinian’s ear, but Little Bun was having none of it, "You’re the one who said it, I just repeated it, what’s it got to do with me?"

Little Bun stretched out his hands with an indifferent expression that mirrored Lu Beichen’s, truly annoying!

Lu Beichen looked down at them, a graceful smile on his face, "He’s not the test-tube baby you made, yet you’re using him as a shield?"

Zhu Yiming laughed awkwardly, "Just joking around!"

"A joke? Do you know because of your joke, my son no longer respects me as his father? Don’t you think you’ve ruined our father-son relationship?" Lu Beichen’s eyes seemed to be smiling yet sinister, making Zhu Yiming feel uneasy.

Zhu Yiming nudged Lu Sinian in his arms, "Quick, call him dad!"

"I’m a test-tube baby!" Little Bun leaned comfortably in his arms, casually reading comics.

Zhu Yiming’s heart was breaking inside, this father and son duo were nothing but trouble!

He tossed Little Bun to Lu Beichen, turned around, and pulled Ji Niandong to shield himself.

Lu Sinian felt like a toy being thrown out, but luckily Lu Beichen caught him quickly.

Held in his arms, he didn’t resist; he just turned his head to grin at Zhu Yiming, "Uncle Zhu, if you throw me out and I get hurt, Sister Tongtong won’t let you off!"

He really was tossed like a toy, making Ji Niandong’s heart skip a beat. Hearing Lu Sinian’s words, Ji Niandong hesitated to further assist him, "Doctor Zhu, let’s talk calmly, Nian Nian is just a child, how can you treat him so carelessly?"

Zhu Yiming felt tearful, thinking the whole family was ganging up on him!

"Nian Nian, don’t you want to know who your mom is? Ah!" Zhu Yiming fell to the ground with a thud, rolling his eyes, and said, "Do you know if you drop me and I die, how many patients would lose their innocent lives?"

Zhu Yiming finished speaking and lay on the ground, looking like he had lost all hope.

Lu Beichen dusted off his hands and turned to head back to the kitchen.

Only Ji Niandong and Lu Sinian kept staring at the person on the ground.

After a while, Lu Sinian asked seriously with his childish voice, "Uncle Zhu, you just asked me if I want to know who my mom is? Do you know where she is?"

"Just joking!" Zhu Yiming felt tearful again.

Lu Sinian’s expression changed, "I thought you knew where she is! Serves you right to be dropped!"

He turned and pulled Ji Niandong to sit back on the sofa, "Sister Tongtong, read comics to me!"

Ji Niandong hesitated for a moment, tempted to ask, but ultimately refrained, picking up the comic book and enthusiastically reading aloud to him.

"Hey, is there no one to help me up?" Zhu Yiming called out from the ground.

Li Yi quietly helped Shen Congling lift him up.
