Lu Beichen cooperatively displayed his image as a loving father, leaving Lu Sinian with no choice but to look up at Ji Niandong, his eyes brimming with tears.

"Let him sleep with me tonight, I’ll tell him stories! I’ll be filming in a few days, and won’t have much time to be with him!" Ji Niandong said softly. Lu Sinian wiped his tears, wishing he could shout "Yes!"

Lu Beichen finally got up from the bed, walked over, and pushed her damp hair behind her back, "Mrs. Lu, what about me?"

His tone was slightly aggrieved. Ji Niandong lowered her head, unsure of what to say. Lu Beichen, knowing when to stop, said, "Hurry and dry your hair, don’t catch cold with the air conditioning on. Good night!"

He lowered his head and kissed her lips, covering his son’s face with one hand to prevent him from seeing.

The kiss lingered for a long time, until he tasted the fragrance of her mouth, then he reluctantly moved away.

Ji Niandong headed over just past five in the morning and texted Shen Congling. The girl hadn’t replied, still claiming she wanted to be an assistant, completely unreliable.

Most of the staff were there, and she went straight to the on-set dressing room to change clothes, where a boy was waiting for her. Upon seeing her enter, he asked, "Miss Ji?"

"May I ask who you are?" Ji Niandong asked. He was carrying a big backpack, wearing black-framed glasses, and holding a school uniform in his hands.

"I’m the assistant Ada arranged for you. I heard you found one yourself, but I haven’t seen them?" He glanced back, then quickly moved on without asking more. "You can call me Lazy Cat, and I’ll call you Sister Tong from now on! I used to assist Sister Lu, but since she has many assistants now, Ada assigned me to you," Lazy Cat said respectfully.

Ada hadn’t mentioned it, possibly too busy to manage everything. Ji Niandong happily nodded, "Lazy Cat, I’ll be counting on your help in the future!"

"Not at all, it’s Sister Tong who should be taking care of me!" He said shyly, scratching his head, and then handed Ji Niandong the clothes. "This is the uniform for today’s shoot! The makeup artist will be here soon, please sit and wait!"

He pulled out a chair, gesturing for Ji Niandong to sit at the dressing table. "I didn’t expect you’d come so early!"

"Sister Ada notified me to be here at six; I came early to avoid being late!" Ji Niandong found his shy and honest demeanor easy to get along with and chatted a bit more.

"Did you have breakfast?"

"I’m fine!" She woke up early that morning; Lu Beichen and Lu Sinian were still asleep. Afraid of disturbing them, she tidied up quickly and left.

"I’ll go buy you something; otherwise, we don’t know when we’ll be able to eat lunch during filming, and shooting on an empty stomach isn’t ideal." He seemed somewhat inexperienced but was quite attentive in his actions.

Ji Niandong nodded, "Just get anything, I’m not picky!"

"Alright, Sister Tong, wait here for me. Call me if you need anything, I’ll text you my number soon!" He said as he walked out and sent a text.

Ji Niandong received it immediately and saved his number.

She was just reporting to Ada on WeChat when she saw a man walk in, and her expression changed immediately.
