Chapter 752: Chapter 735: Mutated Thunder Spiritual Root (1)_1
Situ Jin rushed back home the following evening. He had received a message from his superiors that there was an emergency at home and he should return immediately. They didn’t specify what the matter was, which made his heart tense up, fearing that something major had happened.
So, after receiving the message, Situ Jin didn’t even pack any luggage and hurriedly drove the military vehicle back home.
Situ Jin pushed the car to its limits, managing to shorten the three-hour drive to just an hour and a half. As soon as he parked the car at the doorstep, he opened the door and ran towards the house. However, just like Situ Xin, he had the habit of announcing his arrival before entering, "Grandpa, Grandma, I’m back!"
But today, the Situ Family home was unlike usual, eerily quiet. As soon as Situ Jin walked in, his brows furrowed unconsciously, and he muttered under his breath, "Eh, what’s going on today, why is nobody home?"
Then he shouted again, "Grandpa, Grandma, I’m back!"
Just when Situ Jin called out for the second time, Situ Xin, who was in her Personal Space, heard the noise outside. She was overjoyed, knowing that it was her brother, Situ Jin, returning. Coincidentally, at that moment, all four Old Madams had just finished meditating.
Old Madam Situ and Old Madam Loo, with excitement on their faces, grabbed Situ Xin’s hand and said, "Baby, this is wonderful, I can feel the surrounding Spiritual Energy."
Only the night before, after everyone had finished assessing their Spiritual Roots, everyone went to rest. But that night was destined to be sleepless for the members of both the Situ and Loo families, lying in bed too excited to sleep, waiting for daybreak.
The day did dawn, but apart from the two Old Masters and two Old Madams, everyone else was busy and could not stay at home during the day. Therefore, only the four elders remained, plus Situ Xin, who had got an absence leave from school thanks to the phone calls from the two Old Masters.
Luckily, after Situ Xin finished assessing everyone’s Spiritual Roots the previous night, she returned to the Personal Space with Baibai and prepared suitable Cultivation Techniques for everyone. Baibai had even been tricked by its unscrupulous owner, Situ Xin, into taking several Cultivation Techniques.
However, Situ Xin compensated Baibai, and the compensation indeed won Baibai’s heart. So, it was a typical case of mutual consent.
Considering the rich Spiritual Energy of the Personal Space, which was suitable for cultivation, and the fact that time inside was ten times faster than outside, Situ Xin thought that cultivating would yield twice the results with half the effort. Since the two Old Masters were already aware of the Personal Space’s existence, she had no intention of keeping it from the two Old Madams. After discussing it with the Old Masters, she decided to reveal the Personal Space to them and even brought them inside.
The two Old Madams, upon entering, were utterly fascinated by the sights within the space, insisting on dragging Situ Xin to explore the entire area.
After touring the space, the two Old Madams were delighted, declaring that they would never be bored again, and could come to Situ Xin’s Personal Space to plant vegetables and such. Situ Xin listened but didn’t dampen their spirits by telling them that everything in the space was under her control and didn’t require manual cultivation.
After marveling at the space, Situ Xin handed them the suitable Cultivation Techniques and taught them how to practice. In fact, what she did was apply what she had just learned. Her cultivation method was different from theirs, and her own method had been slowly figured out by herself.
So, it was impossible for Situ Xin to teach everyone, but thankfully, the omnipotent Baibai made it all manageable.
Situ Xin was too anxious to feel happy about her grandparents and grandparents-in-law sensing the Spiritual Energy. She said urgently, "Grandpa, Grandma, Grandpa Loo, Grandma Loo, Jin is back, we need to go out. Otherwise, he might get really worried when he sees that nobody is home."
"Oh? Jin is back, let’s go out then," said the two Old Madams, who had just been reveling in their cultivation breakthroughs. But the moment they heard from Situ Xin that Situ Jin had returned, their attention immediately shifted.
In the eyes of the elders, family always came first, more important than anything else. And the same was true in Situ Xin’s heart, or else she wouldn’t have made such a choice.
When Situ Xin emerged from the space with the two Old Masters and two Old Madams, Situ Jin had already made his way upstairs, calling out, "Is anybody at home?"
As he called out, his heart was in turmoil, thoughts whirlwind: "Could it be that something really has happened at home?"
Thinking this, Situ Jin stopped calling and instead took out his phone to call his father.
However, just as he had finished dialing, the door to Situ Xin’s bedroom opened. "Brother, you’re back," she said.
Her voice made Situ Jin pause, and he didn’t press the call button. "Baby, you’re at home? Why didn’t you answer me after I’ve been calling for so long? Oh, right, where are Grandpa and Grandma? Why isn’t anyone home? Didn’t Grandpa and Grandma Loo come over to visit today?"
After seeing his precious sister, Situ Jin slipped the dialed phone into his pocket and quickly walked over to Situ Xin, saying as he arrived.
But just as he finished asking a slew of questions, he saw his grandparents and grandparents-in-law standing beside Situ Xin, all smiles.
"Eh, Grandpa, Grandma, Grandpa Loo, Grandma Loo, why are you all in Baby’s room? What’s in Baby’s room?" As he spoke, Situ Jin craned his neck trying to peek past them to see inside.
"You youngster, what are you looking at? Having spent so much time in the military, how come you still act so improperly? Stand straight," chided Old Master Situ, the type who didn’t feel right unless he lectured someone daily. Unfortunately for Situ Jin, he had walked right into the line of fire.
"Alright, Jin rarely comes back, so let him be," said Old Madam Situ, pulling Situ Jin to her, her face full of affection. "Oh dear, Jin has lost weight. Later, Grandma will cook a lot to help you regain your strength."
