Loo Jie couldn’t protest any further, despite wanting to; his mouth opened but no words came out. He realized that no matter what he said, it was futile; he couldn’t escape the blind date this time.

As for Situ Che, he had been silent the whole time, precisely because he understood this.

No matter the excuses Situ Che and Loo Jie tried to come up with, they couldn’t avoid the blind dates. The next day, they were escorted by their respective mothers to the coffee shop for the arranged meetings. "Alright," said Liu Qian, then she turned to Situ Che and suggested, "Ah Che, let’s go take our seats too, shall we?"

Situ Che indeed cooperated, not grumbling or showing reluctance like Loo Jie. However, his face was expressionless, almost submissive, as he followed Liu Qian to the reserved seat.

The prospective dates for Situ Che and Loo Jie had been selected from a pile of photos, with both families agreeing on two girls who seemed suitable—one lively and the other more demure. The livelier was intended for Xiao Muli, while the quieter was for Loo Jie, as a complement to their personalities.
