Chapter 652: Chapter 652 Space Changed Again (2)_1

Baibai spoke, then picked up another apple from its embrace, placed it into its mouth, and fiercely bit into it.

After hearing Baibai’s explanation, Situ Xin felt there was some sense to it, so she also picked up the apple, put it into her mouth, and gently bit into it.

The very first bite she took, she could feel, this apple in her hand was different from the apples she usually ate.

The apple she held, as soon as her teeth touched the skin, without even using force, the skin broke, and the juice inside flowed along the break into her mouth.

At that moment, a term surfaced in Situ Xin’s mind "melting in the mouth".

The juice that flowed into her mouth had a faint apple fragrance, but it was very subtle. The predominant flavor was a fresh and sweet fruitiness, a taste she was certain she had never experienced before.

After swallowing the delicious and fruity juice of the apple, Situ Xin was astonished to find streams of Spiritual Energy surging into her heart. "What, what is this?" Feeling the Spiritual Energy contained in the apple she had just bitten into, Situ Xin looked up at Baibai in surprise.

"Master, don’t be surprised, these fruits that look no different from ordinary ones are actually mutated. They are now Spirit Fruits. Master, the description of Spirit Fruits, I think you should have read about them in books, so there shouldn’t be a need for Baibai to repeat it." As Baibai spoke, it took another voracious bite of the Spirit Fruit in its hand.

After hearing Baibai’s words, Situ Xin took another bite, carefully savoring the taste in her hand, and confidently stated, "No, this is not a Spirit Fruit."

"How can it not be a Spirit Fruit? It tastes just like a Spirit Fruit to me." Baibai didn’t stop talking as it continued to indulge in the fruit; it couldn’t care less about anything else right now.

"The fruits in the space now, they are like Spirit Fruits, with Spiritual Energy in the flesh. But, Baibai, didn’t you notice? It has something more than the fruits described in the books, right?" Situ Xin rarely got the chance to one-up Baibai, and she seemed quite pleased about it.

"What additional thing?" Baibai, its mind half on the food it was eating, opened its tiger eyes wide and looked at Situ Xin, without pausing the movement of stuffing fruit into its mouth.

"This fruit, it retains its original flavor; the Spirit Fruits described in the books don’t have the natural taste of the fruit itself." Situ Xin said, biting into her own fruit once more.

"Right, right. Master, you’re absolutely correct. Although I’ve never eaten a Spirit Fruit, based on inherited memories, the fruits produced in this space taste even better than Spirit Fruits." Baibai was reminded by Situ Xin and started to catch on. "But, Master, who cares if it’s different from Spirit Fruits? Baibai only knows it’s incredibly delicious. Moreover, such delicious food is beneficial for Baibai’s cultivation level."

"True enough, why worry about so much, it’s enough to know its benefits." Situ Xin looked at the mountain filled with fruit trees bristling with ripe fruits, thinking she should take more with her when she leaves to share with her family.

Just now, Situ Xin had already felt that these fruits imbued with Spiritual Energy, once ingested, brought their energy into a person’s body. The energy from the fruits was very mild, unlike the Spiritual Energy in the space which, if too much entered a person’s body, could be not only unhelpful but burdensome. However, the Spiritual Energy in these fruits would not do that.

The Spiritual Energy within the fruits, once inside a person’s body, moved along the body’s meridians, slowly circulating, operating to aid the body, gradually regulating various mechanisms, and finally dissipating slowly.

"Right, Baibai, are the vegetables just like the fruits, all containing Spiritual Energy?" Situ Xin glanced at the vegetables planted in the dark soil and inquired.

"That, Baibai doesn’t know." The vegetables in the dark soil had to be cooked before they could be eaten, so Baibai didn’t pay much attention to things that couldn’t be eaten right away.

When Situ Xin posed the question, she anticipated such an answer. So, upon hearing Baibai’s response, she threw the remaining apple core with force onto the hillside, clapped her hands, placed Baibai on the ground, and walked over to the dark soil herself.

She stopped at the spot where cucumbers were planted, personally broke off a cucumber, and tasted it. "Hmm, this cucumber has mutated as well." Situ Xin knew as soon as she bit into the cucumber that it, like the fruits, was different now.

"Really?" Baibai, upon hearing Situ Xin declare the cucumber had mutated, hurriedly grabbed a cucumber as well and stuffed it into its mouth. "Yay, it really is the case. Now, everything grown in this space could replenish our Spiritual Energy just by eating them."

Situ Xin didn’t know why the upgrade to the space induced such a change in the fruits and vegetables she grew, but since it was a positive change, she no longer dwelled on the why.

"Now that we’ve seen this, let’s check out the other changes," Situ Xin said, before flashing away from the base of the mountain.

After making a full circuit of the space, Situ Xin found that this time there weren’t any additional functions added; rather, the layout of the space had been restructured.

Not only had it been restructured, but all the functions had been improved. For example, the pasture was no longer a small area where just a few chickens and ducks could be raised. It had expanded countless times over. As far as Situ Xin could see, there seemed to be no end in sight. And now, though the pasture had expanded, there were only the dozen or so chickens and ducks she had previously raised, along with a dairy cow, and no other animals.

Looking at the green grass that now lacked adequate animal life, Situ Xin said to Baibai, "It seems, after I go out, I need to get more animals in here; otherwise, this pastureland will be wasted."

Unexpectedly, Baibai strongly agreed with Situ Xin’s casual remark: "Yeah, yeah, Master, you definitely need to get more. We’ll raise them big and then we can have a grand feast."
