Chapter 596: Chapter 596: Rescuing Brother Muli (3)_1

This Dr. Zhang, upon being shouted at by Old Master Situ, found his already groggy mind blurring further. In his haziness, he acquiesced, "Fine, I’ll take her there right away."

Dr. Liu, seeing Dr. Zhang agreeing, was eager to remind him of the hospital’s regulations. However, the moment he opened his mouth, a warning glance from Old Master Loo sealed his lips.

Dr. Zhang could only look on as Dr. Liu led Situ Xin toward the changing room of their operating theatre.

"This is the changing room for the operating theatre," Dr. Zhang said to Situ Xin.

"Mm," Situ Xin answered briefly before she walked in and began a series of preparations necessary before entering the operating theatre.

Watching Situ Xin donning a mask, a cap, and washing her hands diligently as part of the preparatory work for entering the operating theatre, Dr. Zhang belatedly asked, "Little sister, what are you doing?"

But Situ Xin paid him no attention as she finished her preparations, took a needle box out of her bag—actually from her space—and then brushed past Dr. Zhang on her way to the operating theatre.

"Hey, hey, little sister, wait, you can’t go in. You can’t just waltz into the operating theatre," Dr. Zhang called out anxiously, hurrying after Situ Xin to stop her.

Ignoring Dr. Zhang behind her, Situ Xin quickened her step toward the operating theatre. Even as she pushed the door to enter, Dr. Zhang was still shouting that the operating theatre was off-limits to unauthorized personnel.

Regardless of Dr. Zhang’s continued shouting, Situ Xin had already stepped through the operating theatre door.

Assuming it was Dr. Zhang and his team when the door swung open, the nurse inside looked up, about to ask for the two documents signed by the family, only to pause in surprise upon seeing Situ Xin enter, asking, "Excuse me, who might you be? You can’t just enter the operating theatre."

Situ Xin ignored the speaking nurse. From the moment she entered the operating theatre, her gaze was unblinkingly fixed on Xiao Muli lying on the surgical table. Earlier, when she used her Divine Sense to investigate, her focus had been solely on determining the extent of Xiao Muli’s injuries, paying no attention to anything else.

However, now that Situ Xin saw Xiao Muli with eyes tightly shut, an oxygen tube inserted, and his body connected to various devices, her heart clenched with a faint pain. She had never imagined seeing Xiao Muli like this.

From a distance, as Situ Xin gazed at Xiao Muli’s pallid face, memories of their times together started surfacing, and her eyes unconsciously moistened.

"Little sister, this, this operating theatre, you, you can’t go in." While Situ Xin was lost in her thoughts over Xiao Muli, struggling to pull herself back, Dr. Zhang had arrived. Out of breath upon reaching the operating theatre, his words snapped Situ Xin out of her reverie.

After regaining her composure, Situ Xin did not afford Dr. Zhang or the nurse a second glance and walked straight to the operating table.

"Hey, you can’t go there," the nurse said, reaching out to stop Situ Xin.

Situ Xin shot the nurse a cold look and icily commanded, "Move aside." Her frosty words made the blocking nurse shiver involuntarily, feeling the urge to step away for a moment under the pressure of Situ Xin’s presence.

But ultimately, remembering her job, the nurse continued to stand her ground, barring Situ Xin’s passage.

"We have hospital rules. You can’t just enter the operating theatre, and we are currently in the middle of a resuscitation," the nurse still tried to persuade Situ Xin.

"I said move. Did you not hear me?" said Situ Xin, and with a swift motion that nobody clearly saw, she had already bypassed the nurse.

Situ Xin’s move left the onlookers dumbfounded, unsure how she accomplished it.

"Move. I will save him," Situ Xin stated as she arrived at the surgical table, addressing Dr. Qiu who was preparing for a last-ditch effort.

"Who are you? We’re treating a patient; please leave. If you hinder us again, don’t blame us," Dr. Qiu began to speak but before he could finish, Situ Xin had struck his sleep acupoint from behind.

The assistants and nurses of Dr. Qiu in the operating theatre, seeing him collapse weakly upon a gentle touch from Situ Xin, cried out in alarm, "Dr. Qiu!"

Some stared incredulously, accusing Situ Xin, "What have you done to Dr. Qiu?"

"He’s just asleep. If you keep making noise, I don’t mind putting you to sleep, too. So you won’t disturb me," Situ Xin said with a slight lift of her eyelids, speaking softly to the others in the operating theatre.

Without saying much, Situ Xin’s commanding presence silenced everyone else in the operating theatre.

"You two, help him out. And then, there’s no need for you to come back in," Situ Xin directed two seemingly able-bodied men in the operating theatre to carry Dr. Qiu out.

The two men didn’t dare dally and promptly carried Dr. Qiu out of the operating theatre.

With Dr. Qiu out, Situ Xin took the place where Dr. Qiu had been standing, signaling that she was taking over the rescue of Xiao Muli.

The crowd outside the operating theatre saw the door open and braced for a new development, their expressions crumbling. But they were stunned when they saw two male doctors emerge, carrying another who appeared to be the lead surgeon.

"What, what happened?" Old Master Xiao took a moment before he found his voice to ask.

"Just now, a girl burst into the operating theatre and knocked Dr. Qiu unconscious."

"Folks, let’s first move Dr. Qiu out here, and please keep an eye on him for us. We must find the dean to handle this situation," the two male doctors had planned to fetch the dean for assistance in resolving the issue as they carried out Dr. Qiu.
