Chapter 586: Chapter 586: Board of Directors (1)_1

However, these matters were only known by the Shan Family themselves, no one in the outside world had any clue.

"Heh, Miss Shan, are you wondering how I know these things that only your Shan Family knows?" After a pause, Situ Xin continued, "I’m sorry, Miss Shan, but I’m not interested in explaining this to you today. I have more important matters to attend to. JIM, take out the photocopy of the share transfer document and show it to President Shan," Situ Xin instructed JIM, who was standing behind her.

"Certainly, my dear Xin." JIM took a folder from his assistant and walked towards Old Master Shan.

With his height, JIM stood before Old Master Shan in a towering manner. "President Shan, please take a look. This is the share transfer document for forty percent of Shan’s shares."

Old Master Shan hesitated for a moment before taking the photocopy of the share transfer document from JIM. After just one glance, he ripped up the photocopy of the share transfer document in his hands, furious.

"President Shan, that’s just a photocopy of the share transfer; tearing it up does no harm. I have plenty more if you want to rip them up to vent," said Situ Xin, her words inciting an explosive reaction from Old Master Shan.

"How did you come by this?" Old Master Shan asked furiously, looking at Situ Xin and JIM.

Since Old Master Shan spoke in the language of Country H, and although JIM was learning it, his studies had not been long, and though he could understand, he was unable to respond in the language of Country H. Hence, Situ Xin replied, "How did we come by it? Hehe. President Shan, what a question you ask. These were willingly signed by your son, Dan Deyou. I presume you recognize your own son’s handwriting. If you still don’t believe after seeing the handwriting, I don’t mind if you personally call your son and ask him yourself."

Indeed, Old Master Shan took out his phone and dialed his son, Dan Deyou’s, number.

As soon as the call connected, Old Master Shan asked directly, "Did you sign the share transfer document for Shan’s shares?"

Then, not knowing what the response on the other end of the phone was, everyone heard Old Master Shan bellow into the phone, "Degenerate!" Then, he threw his phone away, and in an instant, the device was dismantled.

Situ Xin looked at the shattered remains of the phone on the ground, shook her head, and thought to herself, phones really don’t take well to being thrown.

"So, President Shan, it’s clear now, isn’t it? The forty-percent share transfer was personally signed by your son," Situ Xin said, not caring whether Old Master Shan could accept it or not, and continued, "Oh, aside from the forty percent shares your son owned, another twenty percent of miscellaneous shares have now been transferred into my name, Situ Xin. JIM, hand over the photocopies of those share transfers one by one to President Shan, so he can take a good look,"

As Old Master Shan looked at these photocopies of the share transfer documents, his heart sank to rock bottom, or rather, he had already lost all hope the moment he confirmed that the share transfer document signed by his son, Dan Deyou, was authentic.

Seeing the state her father was in, Shan Xue was unable to remain standing and asked, "Situ Xin, how did you coerce my brother into signing the share transfer of our Shan’s shares? I think, my brother wouldn’t just sell our Shan’s shares for no reason."

"You speak as if we coerced your brother into signing these share transfers," Situ Xin replied. In truth, it had indeed been Situ Xin and others who had pressured Dan Deyou into signing, but that was only something they knew; outsiders wouldn’t see it that way. "Since Miss Shan has such questions, let me clarify in front of everyone. Your brother, Dan Deyou, wasn’t coerced into signing these. Rather, after accumulating a massive gambling debt, he owed a substantial amount in usurious loans. Unable to repay, he signed the share transfer with me, and I settled his debts for him." What Situ Xin didn’t say was that the whole scheme had been her design, a trap laid out for Dan Deyou to jump into of his own accord.

"Even if my brother gambled and owed usurious loans, that wouldn’t justify using forty percent of Shan’s shares to settle it. Do you realize how much those forty percent of Shan’s shares are worth?" Shan Xue challenged.

"Miss Shan, the gambling debt your brother owed was no small sum, and with the compound interest of those usurious loans, the amount was quite substantial. How about this? Let me show you the amount of gambling and loan debts your brother owed, and then you can decide if I’m taking advantage of your brother’s misfortune," Situ Xin said, leading Baibai to roll his eyes. Situ Xin was blatantly lying; Baibai knew the entire process of plotting against Dan Deyou, how Situ Xin had essentially conned him without spending a cent.

It could be said that Situ Xin managed to acquire those forty percent of Shan’s shares without paying anything.

However, Shan Xue didn’t know that, and upon seeing the list of debts presented by Situ Xin, she was speechless.

"Now that you’ve seen the share transfer documents, President Shan, there should be no objections. With sixty percent of the shares in my hands, I should be the largest shareholder of Shan’s now. So President Shan, isn’t it time for someone else to take your seat?" Situ Xin’s eyes were piercing as she directed her gaze at Old Master Shan.

"You..." Old Master Shan’s eyes widened, still struggling to come to terms with this rapid turn of events.

But no matter how hard it was for Old Master Shan to accept, he was indeed ushered out from his position as the major shareholder. JIM took the place where Shan Xue had been sitting.

The other small shareholders of Shan’s didn’t object in the slightest and took their seats one after another. They had no issues with who the company’s shareholder was, as long as their own interests weren’t threatened.

In the conference room, aside from Old Master Shan and Shan Xue who were left without seats, everyone else sat down.

Situ Xin didn’t concern herself with the two of them and began the first shareholders’ meeting since assuming control of the Shan’s company.

Situ Xin became the largest shareholder of Shan’s. From being the largest shareholders, the Shan Family became minor ones. If not for Situ Xin knowing that Old Master Shan would rather die than sell his eleven percent of shares, she would have long taken those shares from him and driven the Shan Family completely out of the Shan’s enterprise.
