Chapter 551: Chapter 551: Celebration Banquet (2)_1

Xiao Muli was telling lies to the two old women without a blush or a skipped heartbeat. And as she did so with such earnestness, the two old madams didn’t doubt her for a second, not even Situ Xin, who was stunned by Xiao Muli’s serious demeanor and found himself wondering, "What does Grandpa Xiao want to tell me? What does he need to say to me?"

"Old Xiao has something to say to Baby," said Old Madam Loo, before turning to Situ Xin, "Baby, you stay here, then. Grandma and I will head back first."

Old Madam Situ then told Xiao Muli, "Muli, Grandma Loo and I will go back to the hotel. After you finish talking with Baby, please send him back, but don’t be too late, alright?"

"Grandma Loo, Grandma Situ, don’t worry. Once I’m finished talking with Xiao Xin, I’ll send him back to the hotel," assured Xiao Muli, her heart leaping with joy at their concession, though she didn’t show it on her face.

Having received Xiao Muli’s promise, the two old madams left Situ Xin in her care without worry. After all, they had watched Xiao Muli grow up and trusted her character completely. Besides, Situ Xin and Xiao Muli had grown up together, their bond was anything but ordinary, so handing Situ Xin over to Xiao Muli was something they did with complete peace of mind. However, if these two old madams ever found out what Xiao Muli’s actual intentions were towards their precious Baby, they would have deeply regretted their actions today. But that’s a story for later.

Situ Xin and Xiao Muli watched the backs of Situ Xin’s family’s Female Warrior Group as they left. Then Situ Xin asked, "Muli, what did Grandpa Xiao want you to tell me?"

"My grandpa wanted to ask when you will give his grandson an official status," Xiao Muli said with an intense gaze, already tightly clasping Situ Xin’s hand, their fingers interlocking.

"You, you, you," Situ Xin stammered as he looked at Xiao Muli before finally saying, "Xiao Muli, you’re such a liar. Grandpa Xiao would never ask that."

"Hehe, even though my grandpa wouldn’t ask that, he’s definitely hoping that I’ll bring his future granddaughter-in-law home soon," said Xiao Muli, tightening her grip on Situ Xin’s hand even more.

"I don’t want to talk to you anymore; I’m going back," declared Situ Xin, a complete novice when it came to love, his cheeks blushing easily with Xiao Muli’s occasional teasing.

"Xiao Xin, I was wrong," Xiao Muli confessed as she saw Situ Xin about to flee, then pleaded with a pitiful air, "Girl, I’m leaving for home tomorrow. Once I’m back, I’ll have to return to school, and it will be a long time before I see you again. Just keep me company a little longer today."

Situ Xin, with a heart that tended to soften easily, especially in this life filled with doting relatives, had long lost the hardness from his previous life. So, when Xiao Muli put on that pitiful act, his heart melted, and he stopped struggling, compliantly letting Xiao Muli hold his hand.

"I’ll come to visit you at school when I have time after I get back," Situ Xin comforted Xiao Muli.

"Girl, you said it yourself, don’t go back on your word," Xiao Muli hadn’t expected such a benefit from acting pitiable.

And so, hand in hand, Situ Xin and Xiao Muli chatted and slowly walked towards the hotel where Situ Xin was staying. As they neared the hotel, Xiao Muli suddenly tightened her grip and pulled Situ Xin into her arms.

She whispered into Situ Xin’s ear, "Girl, you must miss me," and before Situ Xin could react, Xiao Muli backed off slightly and bent down to kiss Situ Xin’s soft lips.

Situ Xin was stunned by Xiao Muli’s kiss. However, regaining composure, he didn’t react as he had in the past but gently closed his eyes instead, savoring the faint fresh scent that was uniquely Xiao Muli.

Situ Xin slowly and clumsily began to respond to Xiao Muli’s kiss. When Xiao Muli felt the response, joy filled her heart, and she deepened the kiss.

The two kissed passionately, oblivious to the world around them, as if only the two of them existed. They only stopped, both breathless, when they felt utterly contented.

The next morning, Xiao Muli left BL. Before boarding the plane, she sent a message to Situ Xin, who luckily was still asleep.

By the time Situ Xin saw the message, Xiao Muli was already on the plane to Country H.

Situ Xin hadn’t even had the chance to get used to Xiao Muli’s departure, to feel unsettled, before being consumed by a mission from The Dark Division.

This mission was decided entirely by Situ Muli. Situ Xin only kept an eye on the mission progress. However, Situ Xin had told Situ Muli to inform her of the mission execution time—she wanted to be present. Although she wouldn’t interfere with Situ Muli’s decisions for this mission, she wouldn’t want to see any of her subordinates get hurt within her ability to prevent it.

Their target was always guarded by mercenaries, and Situ Muli hoped to find a moment when the mercenaries weren’t around to kill the target or seize a box in the target’s possession. So, for the past few days, they had been tracking the target.

After many days, they realized the target was very cautious, maybe even aware they were being watched, as he never left the mercenaries’ side, even during sleep.

This realization squashed their initial plan, and Situ Muli and her team were prepared for a direct confrontation.

"Wu Qing, once we engage the mercenaries, you’ll be responsible for seizing the box from the target. As for the target’s fate, that’s on you," Situ Muli instructed sternly before they set off.

"Understood. I promise to complete the mission," Wu Qing was nearly saluting Situ Muli in response.
