Xiao Muli saw the commotion Situ Xin had caused and knew that she had her answer. Although, in Xiao Muli’s heart, he had already decided, that even if Situ Xin rejected him, he would not give up. Still, he was nervous, afraid of hearing the words of rejection from Situ Xin’s mouth.

Xiao Muli moved anxiously, adjusting his sitting posture, and waited for Situ Xin’s judgment.

"Brother Muli, I am willing to give it a try." Situ Xin didn’t dare to meet Xiao Muli’s eyes; instead, she stared out the airplane window at the white clouds and spoke.

"What, what? Xiao Xin, could you, could you say that again?" Xiao Muli had thought that since Situ Xin had not turned to look at him, she was going to reject him. But now, suddenly hearing Situ Xin’s willingness to give it a try, he became so excited that he couldn’t speak clearly.

If it weren’t for Xiao Muli being aware that they were in the first-class cabin of a plane high in the sky, where not only the two of them, but many pairs of eyes were watching, he would have displayed his excitement more overtly. Yet he contained himself, except for his disfluent speech.

Situ Xin had been a bit nervous when she spoke, but seeing Xiao Muli’s flustered appearance, her nervousness dissipated. She smiled and then said, "I said, I am willing to give us a try."

"That’s wonderful, Xiao Xin, you agreed." Xiao Muli reached out and grasped Situ Xin’s hand, cracks appearing in his icy facade. And Situ Xin did not struggle to pull her hand back — she let him hold it.

"I have agreed, but, Brother Muli, let’s get one thing straight — we’ll try dating and see if we are suitable for each other. If so, we’ll continue; if not, we should part ways," Situ Xin said seriously, looking at Xiao Muli. She felt some things needed to be clear from the start; she didn’t want their relationship to grow distant because of dating. "If you agree, then we’ll give it a try. But if not, pretend I never said anything."

"Okay, I agree," Xiao Muli said firmly. He thought to himself that a trial period was okay; in his heart, he had never felt that he and Situ Xin would be unsuitable, and he would not let that possibility arise.

"Since that’s the case, let’s start dating," Situ Xin let out a breath and said.

"So Xiao Xin, you are now my girlfriend," Xiao Muli said, interlocking his fingers more tightly with hers. Though his face was still tense, a foolishly happy expression appeared in his eyes.

Fortunately for Xiao Muli, his subordinates couldn’t see the expression on his face from behind; otherwise, his current look would definitely have shocked them all.

Seeing the silly happiness on Xiao Muli’s face caused by her words, a flicker of unusual emotion passed through Situ Xin’s heart, forgetting to struggle as her hand remained tightly clasped with Xiao Muli’s.

Once the initial happiness passed, the joy in Xiao Muli’s heart surged through his entire being. If not for the fact that it wasn’t yet the time to let everyone know about their relationship, he would have stood up, picked up Situ Xin, and spun around, sharing his joy with everyone.

The reason it wasn’t time yet was that Situ Xin was too young. If her family, who cherished her like a treasure, found out that he, Xiao Muli, had claimed Situ Xin, what awaited him was, at best, cold stares or a beating. Seeing the smile on Xiao Muli’s face, Situ Xin teased, "Brother Muli, don’t be too happy too early. Although I’ve agreed to be your girlfriend, you are not officially my boyfriend yet. You’re still under assessment, and if you don’t pass my test then..." She didn’t continue, but her expression said it all.

That is, if Xiao Muli didn’t pass Situ Xin’s test, she would definitely turn away without mercy, expelling him from her world forever.

Xiao Muli understood Situ Xin well and he knew her bottom line.
