Chapter 419: Chapter 419 The Military Academy’s New Campus Heartthrob (3)_1
Situ Xin had reasons for her actions; both the Situ Family and the Loo Family, not just Situ Che and Loo Jie, who would stay in the special forces, Situ Jin and Loo Bun would also need to pass this test in the future. And she did not want the same incidents to happen again.
Situ Xin hadn’t informed these old masters about the situation with Jiang Anbang, instead, she asked The Dark Division and Dragon Society to handle it for her. She felt that it was inconvenient for these elders to take action, and besides, if the family elders did take action, it might not have resulted in what Situ Xin had desired.
After all, they were still controlled by someone higher up. That someone would be pleased to see the people on both sides fighting each other to death and would step in to mediate when they had almost exhausted themselves to reap the benefits. This was not what Situ Xin wished to see.
In secret, Situ Xin had the people from Dragon Society and The Dark Division gather intelligence on all the forces that their opponents had within the special forces. This time, she intended to uproot all of these people.
Situ Xin left the matter in the hands of The Dark Division and Dragon Society, but she would inquire about the progress daily and give instructions for the next steps.
After resting at home for three days, Situ Xin was finally allowed to return to school. Situ Che, Loo Jie, along with Old Master Situ and Old Master Loo had almost mastered the introductory knowledge of formations. Situ Xin then gave them a book with formations she had drawn based on the memory of the Jade Token and the required Spirit Stones for them to practice on their own.
As for her, she went to school with Baibai on her arms and her bag on her back.
"Hey, Situ Xin." Just as Situ Xin entered the teaching building, she was called from behind by Tian Jinlei, who hurried over. Turning around, Situ Xin saw Tian Jinlei and his group quickly walking towards her. Before Situ Xin could say anything, Tian Jinlei approached her and asked, "Situ Xin, why haven’t you been to class these past few days? Were you sick or something?" Tian Jinlei looked into Situ Xin’s eyes full of worry and concern.
"Yeah, I had a bit of a cold, so I took a few days off," Situ Xin said, lying without even blinking an eye.
"Are you feeling better now?"
"I’m all better now, thanks for the concern. I see it’s almost time for class; let’s walk and talk," Situ Xin suggested, feeling a bit annoyed by the glances thrown their way by other students passing by.
"Okay, let’s talk while we walk. You must have missed quite a bit of class these past few days. I have notes from the classes; you can take them later and go over them," Tian Jinlei said, drawing the attention of Lin Shaohui and others. In their minds, Lin Shaohui and the rest thought, "I knew it; Lei started to take notes seriously in class because of the beautiful Situ Xin."
"Thanks a lot," Situ Xin initially wanted to decline, having already known the academic material from her previous life, but considering it was a kind gesture, she swallowed her words and accepted it instead.
"No problem. I’ll lend you the notes after school," Tian Jinlei said, his smile broadening as he saw Situ Xin accept them.
"Lei, we’re counting on you for this term. When it’s almost the end of the term and time for exams, remember to lend the notes to us too," Lin Shaohui said to Tian Jinlei with a wink and a nudge.
"Hehe, that’s for sure, for sure," Tian Jinlei glared at Lin Shaohui and the others; they all knew he took notes just for Situ Xin and even bought a special notebook for her, while normally he would hardly bother to take notes, being content with marking key points in the textbooks.
Tian Jinlei gestured to Lin Shaohui and the others with a look that meant he’d deal with them later. Luckily, Situ Xin was occupied with fussing over Baibai and didn’t notice their subtle exchanges.
In the past few days, while idle at home, Situ Xin noticed something unusual about Baibai. Although Baibai was usually as lazy as her, she had never slept as much as this before, with 20 hours of sleep out of 24 in a day.
Every time Situ Xin woke Baibai up, its spirits weren’t high. So, when Baibai fell asleep again, she promptly began to bother it.
"Wake up, Baibai. Look at the time; the sun’s already high," Situ Xin said, rubbing Baibai’s ears and calling out to it.
Baibai, uncomfortable with Situ Xin’s fussing, shifted a bit and, without even opening its eyes, said, "Master, what is it? Baibai is really sleepy."
"Baibai, stop sleeping. What’s been happening these past few days? You’ve been sleeping almost all day," Situ Xin said, looking at Baibai with concern.
"Nothing much. I’ve just felt like I can’t get enough sleep lately," Baibai answered, unaware of any abnormalities within its body. How could it think of anything else when it spends all day sleeping?
"Baibai, do White Tigers have things like hibernation or autumn napping?" Situ Xin checked Baibai’s condition and found it quite normal. If there was anything different, it would be that the Spiritual Energy inside Baibai flowed faster than before. But the increased flow of Spiritual Energy was not something Situ Xin was concerned about since for a cultivator, the flow changed with each phase of their development.
"Hibernation or autumn napping? I’ve never heard of such things; I don’t think we have them. I can’t keep my eyes open anymore, Master. Let me sleep a bit more," Baibai said, nestling comfortably in Situ Xin’s arms before dozing off again, causing her to heave a resigned sigh.
Situ Xin was about to wake Baibai up again, but before she could, they had already arrived at the classroom. Tian Jinlei stopped her from simply sitting anywhere: "Situ Xin, come with us. There are seats available right here."
