It was unclear why the Liu Family resorted to smuggling, but Xiao Muli’s parents, Xiao Guobing and Liu Yun, were kept completely in the dark by the Liu Family, who chose to hide the truth from them.

When Xiao Guobing and Liu Yun were taken away by the Discipline Inspection Commission and questioned, they only learned of the situation from the commissioners. They were so scared by the revelation that they turned pale.
