Chapter 340: Chapter 340: Making a Move (2)_1
"Master, please don’t take what just happened to heart. My mother..." Liu Yuxiang said with some trepidation. He feared that due to the way his brother had behaved toward Situ Xin earlier, she might be angered and refuse to lend a hand.
Situ Xin knew what Liu Yuxiang was thinking. She stopped him before he could finish and said, "It’s fine, but before we go in I must make clear that I prefer quiet, especially when I am taking someone’s pulse. I do not like it when it’s noisy around me. So, you should know what to do." Although Situ Xin’s words were directed at Liu Yuxiang, her eyes were on Liu Guobiao.
"Yes, I understand now." Liu Guobiao had never expected such a young girl to possess those kinds of eyes, and the pressure emanating from the whole being of Situ Xin was utterly mismatched with her age. When he faced Situ Xin, he felt as if he was in the presence of a superior.
Liu Guobiao watched Situ Xin’s retreating figure and thought to himself that he must have been overly tired just now. He had experienced an illusion.
Situ Xin, holding Baibai, headed to the intensive care unit. Just as her hand touched the door handle, the chief physician in charge of Liu Yuxiang’s mother rushed over upon receiving the news. "Wait a moment."
Upon hearing the voice, Situ Xin lowered her hand from the door handle and turned around to look at the doctor.
"Mr. Liu, this is a hospital. It’s not appropriate for family members of patients to enter and exit the ICU at will. This is for the patients’ welfare," the doctor hurried over from the office after hearing the nurses’ report.
"Doctor Mao. I understand that you are acting in the patients’ best interest, but now my wife is lying there, and you have no solution. You’ve already issued us a critical condition notice, stating that we can only leave her fate to heaven. Since that’s the case, we as family members should be able to go in and talk to my wife," Liu Guobiao initially intended to say Situ Xin was there to treat his wife. But just as he was about to speak, Situ Xin shook her head at him and motioned with her mouth, signaling him not to reveal it.
"Uh," Doctor Mao was still somewhat conflicted. But Liu Guobiao gestured for Situ Xin to open the door and go in.
Situ Xin, after receiving Liu Guobiao’s signal, opened the door to the ICU with Baibai in her arms. Doctor Mao turned his head just in time to catch a glimpse of Situ Xin carrying Baibai inside: "Hey, you can go in, but don’t bring the pet with you." With that, Doctor Mao was about to enter and take Baibai from Situ Xin’s arms.
However, before he could reach the door of the ward, Xia Yujie blocked his way. "Sorry, my apologies."
Xia Yujie knew that if Doctor Mao intervened today, Situ Xin might just turn around and leave. By then, Liu Yuxiang and the others would find nowhere to cry.
Once Situ Xin entered the ward, she saw Liu Yuxiang’s mother laying in the hospital bed, her body hooked up to all sorts of machines.
Situ Xin set Baibai down on the floor, "Baibai, you play by yourself for a while." Having said that, Situ Xin walked toward the bed.
Situ Xin frowned at the sight of the machines. Then, she began to remove the various wires and such from Liu Yuxiang’s mother’s body. Sometimes, these high-tech devices can save someone’s life. But many times, they can only temporarily maintain a person’s breathing.
When the people outside, particularly Doctor Mao, saw through the large glass window of the ICU that Situ Xin was unplugging the machines, he anxiously shouted, "Hey, what is she doing? That can’t be unplugged. If it’s unplugged, the patient is beyond saving."
If it hadn’t been for Xia Yujie restraining Doctor Mao at that moment, Doctor Mao would have rushed in already.
"Dad, you." Liu Yuxiang definitely trusted Situ Xin; he saw how tightly his father was grasping his hands, and he called out worriedly.
"There’s no need for you to say anything, I trust her," Liu Guobiao didn’t say was, I trust her, as well as my own judgment. But in fact, he had no other choice. He could only believe in Situ Xin. He could only hope that Situ Xin would bring a miracle for him.
In his heart, Liu Guobiao silently said to his wife, "Wanting, I don’t want to lose you, so I can only choose to believe in Ah Xiang’s master, believe she will help me, and snatch you back from the hands of death."
At that moment, Situ Xin had no time to care about the situation outside. After she had unplugged all the machines from Liu Yuxiang’s mother, she placed her fingers on Liu Yuxiang’s mother’s wrist. Then, she slowly introduced a small amount of Spiritual Energy from her fingertips, following the veins in Liu Yuxiang’s mother’s wrist, into Liu Yuxiang’s mother’s body.
Then Situ Xin controlled this bit of Spiritual Energy as it slowly circulated within Liu Yuxiang’s mother’s body.
After the Spiritual Energy had made a full circuit within Liu Yuxiang’s mother’s body, Situ Xin withdrew her hand from the wrist. However, that small amount of Spiritual Energy was left inside Liu Yuxiang’s mother’s body by Situ Xin. Though this tiny amount of Spiritual Energy couldn’t cure Liu Yuxiang’s mother’s illness, it was very beneficial to her body.
Situ Xin hadn’t expected Liu Yuxiang’s mother’s condition to be this bad. And with Liu Yuxiang’s mother’s current state, acupuncture was simply not an option. Situ Xin frowned in thought, then took a small porcelain bottle from her bag. She opened the bottle and fed the Spiritual Spring Water inside to Liu Yuxiang’s mother.
However, this Spiritual Spring Water wasn’t taken directly from the space inside; in this Spiritual Spring Water, Situ Xin had added a tiny bit of the Spirit Plant grown in the space. She knew from the Jade Token in her mind that there was a prescription that could benefit the heart’s repair to some extent.
After doing all this, Situ Xin walked out of the hospital room holding Baibai.
"Master, how is my mom doing?" As soon as Situ Xin came out, Liu Yuxiang eagerly walked up to her and asked.
Liu Guobiao also looked at Situ Xin anxiously, waiting for her response.
As for Doctor Mao, he was completely oblivious to the situation. As if he hadn’t heard what Liu Yuxiang had said, he directly and furiously said to Situ Xin, "Who are you, young lady? Do you realize this is a hospital? Unplugging a patient’s machines like that on your own is very dangerous. One careless move could have ended the patient’s life."
