Chapter 297: Chapter 297: The True Profligate Young Master (1)_1

Song Guodong looked at the expressions on the faces of these childhood friends before him, and his heart was filled with regret. He should never have agreed to Chiang Junchi’s request, just because of his own father. He should have anticipated the kind of person Chiang Junchi was.

That guy was truly the epitome of a spoiled rich kid. Actually, when Chiang Junchi arrived today, accompanied by his best buddies and their female companions, Song Guodong already regretted his decision. But since everyone was already there, even if he wanted to send them away in his heart, it would only remain a wishful thought.

"Well, guys, I’m really sorry about today," Song Guodong said with a bitter smile while looking at Situ Che and the others; it wasn’t his intention to end up in this situation.

"It’s fine, let’s go," said Situ Che, who had been silent up to this point, pulling Situ Xin’s hand as he spoke. Under normal circumstances, Situ Che would have already left, but seeing Situ Xin, who rarely accompanied him out, he didn’t want to dampen her spirits, so he reluctantly stayed a bit longer.

Song Guodong was profoundly grateful to Situ Che. Indeed, with just a word from Situ Che, all the disgruntled remarks from the other three were swallowed down. How could they not understand Situ Che’s thoughts? "Guo Dong, let this be the last time," said Loo Jie, as he took the lead in pushing the door of the private room open.

While they talked, Situ Xin stood to one side, playing the lady, watching them chat. After all, she had come primarily to mooch a meal. Meanwhile, Situ Jin stayed close by Situ Xin’s side, not saying much, his attention focused entirely on his sister.

"Oh, look who it is, several of our class’s young masters. Please, come in," Chiang Junchi eagerly stood up when he saw the door open. In recent years, the Situ Family and the Loo Family had risen rapidly within the military and political circles of Capital City.

And their Chiang family held a place in Capital City’s military circles, making Chiang Junchi a true red second generation. But there was still a gap between their family and the Situ and Loo families. Back at school, he didn’t walk the same path as Situ Che and Loo Jie, so they weren’t really close friends.

Later on, both Situ Che and Loo Jie entered the military academy, while he went to an ordinary university. Their chances of meeting became even slimmer after that.

He hadn’t thought much of their relationship, but some time ago, he heard his grandfather mentioning that his family’s elders wanted him to establish a better relationship with the Situ and Loo families. His grandfather even shared a state secret with him: the new Leader of The Dark Division was none other than the youngest granddaughter of the Situ Family, Situ Xin.

Chiang Junchi had heard bits and pieces about The Dark Division through his grandfather, and hearing this information truly shocked him.

Song Guodong, standing behind Loo Jie, was very dissatisfied with Chiang Junchi’s behavior; after all, it was he who had invited people out for a meal, yet now it seemed as if he was made to seem like a guest.

Situ Xin walked into the private room alongside Situ Che, and when she saw the girls seated next to the men, she was slightly taken aback.

Before this, Situ Xin had thought that in such a place filled with influencers, stars would surely gather; such was the unwritten rule of the world after all.

Situ Xin remembered from her past life how many celebrities courted the powerful for fame.

She hadn’t expected to witness what she had just been thinking about so soon.

Situ Xin’s eyes widened as she stared at the girls; if she wasn’t mistaken, among these girls, there were a few whom she recognized. Looking at their youthful faces, they overlapped with the well-made-up, arrogant female celebrities of her previous life.

"Baby? What are you looking at? How about we sit here?" Situ Che looked down to rouse Situ Xin, who was still caught between her past and present life, and asked softly.

"Oh, sure." Situ Xin had no preference for where to sit. Her main mission for joining today was to borrow, no, not to borrow, but to "borrow" some things from others.

"I’m going to sit next to my sister," declared Situ Jin, quickly seizing the seat beside Situ Xin before Loo Jie could settle down next to her.

"Hey, Situ Jin, you asking for a spanking or what?" Loo Jie was visibly annoyed that Situ Jin had snagged the seat next to Situ Xin and glared at him, threateningly, even as he impotently took a seat next to Situ Jin muttering to himself, "Just you wait, if you fall into my hands, we’ll see how I deal with you."

Quite oblivious to the situation, Chiang Junchi said to Loo Jie, "Loo Jie, stop fighting with the kid. Come, sit by me."

Upon hearing Chiang Junchi’s words, Loo Jie looked up at him and thought, "I want to sit by my Baby, not by you." Loo Jie sat down next to Situ Jin and while doing so, did not forget to give Situ Jin a warning glance, silently thinking, "You just wait, young man. If you fall into my hands, I’ll show you."

Once everyone had found their seats, Chiang Junjie asked with a smile, "Situ Che, why don’t you introduce us? Who is this young girl and that boy?"

At Chiang Junchi’s question, everyone at Situ Che’s side turned their gaze sharply towards him, with three particularly unfriendly stares amidst them. This sent a chill down Chiang Junjie’s spine, while Situ Che himself had no intention of responding to Chiang Junchi’s query, simply lowering his head to ask Situ Xin, "Baby, are you hungry?"

Song Guodong, not wanting the atmosphere to grow too tense, stood up and explained to Chiang Junchi, "This beautiful young lady here is Situ Che and Loo Jie’s beloved little sister, Situ Xin, the precious treasure of the Situ and Loo families. And this young man is their brother, Situ Jin." After finishing, Song Guodong added, "Now that everyone’s acquainted, make sure to keep an eye out for these two from now on."

"Of course, of course," one of Chiang Junchi’s buddies hurriedly agreed. Not all of them hailed from the military district; some were rich second-generation kids from Capital City. Although they might not know the inner workings of the military district, they had certainly heard of the big names from the military and political world.

As for Chiang Junchi, upon hearing the name Situ Xin, he was stunned. He never imagined that the new Leader of The Dark Division his grandfather had spoken of would be such a young, beautiful girl.
