Chapter 275: Chapter 275 Building Good Relationships (3)_1

When Situ Xin and Murong Wanyu were talking and laughing, about to walk out of the alley, a group of street thugs with hair dyed in various colors suddenly appeared on the opposite side.

"Yo, two little sisters, in such a hurry, where do you want to go?" a man with yellow-dyed hair said to Situ Xin and Murong Wanyu, all nonchalant.

"What do you want?" Murong Wanyu was startled by the sudden appearance of the thugs. But still, she immediately stood up and pulled Situ Xin behind her.

"What do we want? Heh heh. The question this little sister asks is really funny, actually asking us what we want to do," said the yellow-haired man as if Murong Wanyu’s inquiry was a huge joke.

"Are you after money? I’ll give it all to you," Murong Wanyu said, her voice trembling.

"Money? Today, we brothers aren’t really after money. It’s your own fault for not watching where you’re going and messing with someone you shouldn’t have. Someone asked us brothers to come and take care of you," the group of men started moving towards Situ Xin and Murong Wanyu.

Meanwhile, Murong Wanyu, pulling Situ Xin, kept retreating, "You, you all, don’t come any closer."

But the man with yellow hair signaled to his lackeys to make their move. The lackeys lunged towards Situ Xin and Murong Wanyu. Just when Murong Wanyu was prepared to fight them off, a miraculous scene unfolded. The lackeys, who appeared about to reach them, fell to the ground in agony, crying out, "Ouch, ouch."

"You, you guys, what have you done to them?" Murong Wanyu was stunned by the scene before her. Even the man with yellow hair was confused.

However, Situ Xin did not give the dye-haired man the chance to figure out the truth. Right after he finished speaking, he too fell to the ground, crying out, "Ouch, ouch."

"Xiao Xin, Xiao Xin, let’s, let’s get out of here," Murong Wanyu said, eager to leave this troublesome place with Situ Xin, seeing the bad guys down.

But how could Situ Xin just let these people go, including the one hiding behind the scenes? Especially since Murong Wanyu’s first reaction when they were in danger was to protect her, that act of kindness. Situ Xin was determined to get to the bottom of this and eliminate the threat to Murong Wanyu.

Instead of leaving with Murong Wanyu, Situ Xin took out her phone and called Xia Yujie. She asked him to come and take these people away for a thorough interrogation.

"Wanyu, what’s the address?" Xia Yujie asked Situ Xin over the phone. Not knowing herself, she asked Murong Wanyu. At that moment, Murong Wanyu hadn’t fully recovered from the shock and just subconsciously answered Situ Xin’s question.

After giving the address to Xia Yujie, he said he would arrive immediately. Only then did Situ Xin pull Murong Wanyu out of the alley. They didn’t go far, waiting until the Dragon Society’s people arrived and took the thugs away before she left with Murong Wanyu.

As Situ Xin accompanied Murong Wanyu towards her home, she called Xia Yujie and urged him to make sure to find out who was behind the scenes from those thugs.

Murong Wanyu pulled Situ Xin’s hand, quickly walking toward her house. It wasn’t until they reached downstairs at her place and saw her brother waiting for them that she finally relaxed.

"Big Brother, we just ran into some street thugs at the alleyway entrance," Murong Wanyu said upon seeing her brother Murong Ansheng, her voice revealing her fear as it took on a crying tone.

"What? Are you two alright?" He had been in a good mood seeing his sister with a pretty girl that was simply too beautiful for words, wearing a smile on his face. But as he heard his sister’s words, his expression darkened. He pulled Murong Wanyu to him and asked anxiously.

"It’s fine, when the thugs tried to grab us, I don’t know what happened, but suddenly they were in pain, collapsed to the ground, and couldn’t get up. I just grabbed Xiao Xin and ran back here." Murong Wanyu had been so focused on dragging Situ Xin back home that she hadn’t noticed Situ Xin making a call to Xia Yujie.

"Oh, as long as you’re okay. Let’s hurry up and go inside," Murong Ansheng said, relieved to see that his sister and Situ Xin were unharmed. He didn’t worry about anything else.

"Oh, okay," Murong Wanyu responded, finally feeling settled seeing her brother. "Ah, I forgot to introduce you," she said, having been preoccupied with the incident involving the thugs.

Only now did she remember that she hadn’t introduced Situ Xin to her brother.

"Brother, this is my good friend, Situ Xin." After introducing Situ Xin to her brother, Murong Wanyu turned to Situ Xin and said, "Xiao Xin, this is my brother, Murong Ansheng. He’s really amazing; he’s now a sophomore at Capital City University." Murong Wanyu’s tone was full of pride when she talked about her brother. "Xiao Xin, did you know? My brother has been my idol ever since I was little. And now, you’ve been added to that list."

Murong Wanyu walked upstairs, chatting with Situ Xin as they went.

"Hello, may I call you Xiao Xin like Wanyu does?" Murong Ansheng asked with a spring-like smile, looking at Situ Xin.

"Sure. And I’ll call you Big Brother Murong," replied Situ Xin, surprised that Murong Ansheng’s personality was so different from Murong Wanyu’s.

The Murong family home was a three-bedroom, two-living room apartment. Although Situ Xin felt the place was a bit small, she liked the layout and atmosphere. If it weren’t for the equally happy and warm home she had in this life, she might have been very envious of Murong Wanyu.

"Xiao Xin, right? Come in and have a seat," invited Wu Qingya warmly, while Situ Xin was taking in the Murong family’s home. She pulled Situ Xin over to sit on the living room sofa and handed her an apple, saying, "Here, have some fruit."

"Thank you, Auntie," Situ Xin said, accepting the apple passed to her by Murong Wanyu’s mother, Wu Qingya, and expressing gratitude.

"Xiao Xin, don’t be polite at Auntie’s home," Wu Qingya was holding onto Situ Xin’s hand, not letting go, her eyes filled with laughter as she looked at her. "My goodness, Xiao Xin is really cute, much cuter than this worrying child of mine. Oh, how I wish I had a daughter like Xiao Xin."
