Chapter 105: Chapter 105 Capture (3)_1

"Xiao Xin wants us to capture Boss Sheng?" Xiao Guobing’s mind couldn’t make sense of it.

"Yes, don’t stand there in a daze. Quickly notify your subordinates, gather them, and head out for the mission," Situ Haoran ordered. "Oh, right, let’s not alert the higher-ups just yet. We’ll inform them after we have Boss Sheng subdued."

Situ Haoran, Situ Haotian, and Xiao Guobing, after rousing their subordinates from bed, rushed towards Boss Sheng’s residence in the city. When the community guards saw their attire and the weapons in their hands, they obediently let them through. They were still guessing in their hearts what could have happened in the neighborhood.

By the time Situ Haoran and his men reached their destination, they were expecting a fierce fight. They raised their alertness to the max and, pistols in hand, stormed into Boss Sheng’s residential villa.

But when they charged in and saw the two guards at the door, they simultaneously aimed their guns at them, "Don’t move." They waited for a long time, and when those two didn’t make a move, they sensed something was amiss. It was only when they approached that they realized the two had been immobilized.

In their hearts, Situ Haoran and the others understood that this was surely Situ Xin’s handiwork. They also knew there was likely no danger inside. They guessed that Boss Sheng had probably been subdued by Situ Xin as well.

Indeed, once they got inside, they quickly found Boss Sheng and his subordinates in the study. "Take them away," Situ Haoran signaled to his men to escort the captives out.

"Right, where’s Baby? Why haven’t I seen her?" Situ Haotian had just finished speaking when Situ Xin, seeing there was no one else around, flashed out of her space.

Xiao Guobing, looking at Situ Xin who appeared before them, said, "You really are audacious, girl." Saying this, he walked over and patted Situ Xin’s hair.

"Yeah, girl. When we get back, see if I don’t take care of you. How dare you act on your own," Situ Haotian also said sternly.

"Alright, I know I was wrong. Let’s head back, I have things to report to you," Situ Xin admitted her mistake quickly, knowing her actions today had caused them worry.

Situ Haoran had already called his superior before charging into Boss Sheng’s villa with his men. He told him they had just received a tip from an intermediary, informing them that Boss Sheng was at his villa in the city precinct with not many people around, which made it an ideal time to capture him.

The superior, who was still groggy and holding the phone in his hand, was jolted awake by Situ Haoran’s words. "What did you just say? Repeat that," he said.

Situ Haoran, without any hesitation, repeated what he had just said. Only then did his superior realize he wasn’t dreaming.

After hanging up the phone, Situ Haoran’s superior sat on the bed in a daze. Eventually, something occurred to him, his body shook, and he didn’t dare to pick up the phone again. Instead, he took a ’brick phone’ from the bedside drawer and dialed a number skillfully.

"Hello, is this Commissioner Zhang? This is Chen Xingbang. I’ve just received a call from Situ Haoran, saying they are on their way to Boss Sheng’s villa to capture him."

"Oh, okay, I understand." Not knowing what Commissioner Zhang had said, Chen Xingbang hung up the phone and wiped the sweat from his forehead fiercely. He was already regretting getting involved with Zhang Guozheng’s schemes.

Meanwhile, in a military compound, Zhang Guozheng, after receiving the call from Chen Xingbang, tried to call Boss Sheng. However, after a long time, no one answered the phone. What he didn’t know was that the ’brick phone’ he was trying to reach was now in Situ Xin’s hands.

Situ Xin, looking at the name that appeared on the phone, wickedly thought about what Zhang Guozheng’s expression would be like if she were to answer the call at this moment. Nonetheless, she knew that Zhang Guozheng wouldn’t be laughing much longer.

Zhang Guozheng felt a sudden dread when he heard a busy signal on the other end of the phone, realizing that things did not bode well for Boss Sheng. Fearing that Boss Sheng might blab and leak their secrets, he quickly called his own superior.

After receiving assurance from the other side that the matter would be taken care of, Zhang Guozheng’s mind was slightly at ease. But for some reason, he still had an ominous premonition.

Situ Haoran and his team saw Boss Sheng and his men being led away, and they were about to follow them out. But they were stopped by Situ Xin, "Uncle, keep a close watch on Boss Sheng. I suspect someone will come to silence him within the next few days," Situ Xin reminded them, reflecting on the evidence she had seen earlier.

"Hm?" Hearing Situ Xin’s words, Situ Haoran and the others paused for a moment but then nodded and said, "Don’t worry, I have it in mind."

Although reassured by Situ Haoran’s nod, Situ Xin was still anxious. She knew that those outside were no match for the people likely to be sent against them, and they couldn’t stop what was coming.

However, Situ Xin wasn’t about to let them succeed. Although she now had ample evidence in her hands, she still felt it was better to have a living witness. Therefore, she would ensure his safety before interrogating Boss Sheng, at least guaranteeing that he would be alive to face the interrogation.

Situ Haoran and the others truly took Situ Xin’s words to heart. When it came time to assign seating, Situ Haotian sat in the vehicle escorting Boss Sheng. Situ Xin also got into the same vehicle as Situ Haotian, but without anyone seeing her, she had entered her space from the villa earlier. If she had walked out of the villa nonchalantly, it would have certainly startled the group and maybe even led some to suspect her relationship with Boss Sheng.

The car moved smoothly forward, but Situ Xin in the space didn’t dare let her guard down, constantly remaining vigilant to the situation outside.

Halfway through their journey, the car suddenly came to a screeching halt. "Xiao Lee, what’s going on?" Situ Haotian, who was sitting in the back, couldn’t see the specifics.

"Reporting to Major Situ, I’m not sure what’s happening. There’s a person lying on the road ahead," the driver reported to Situ Haotian, equally puzzled, as this car wasn’t the first one; the vehicles opening the way ahead had all passed by. Could they really have missed seeing the person on the road?
