The Rebel's Omega
Chapter 94

Chapter 94: Chapter 94

“You two,” the leader called, his smile darkening as he pointed his machete at them. “Leave now if you value your lives. This isn’t your fight.”

Hua Ren was about to take a step forward when a familiar voice shrieked across the night.

“What are you doing out here?!”

He turned, surprised to see that it was the tea stall owner. She was bundled in a shawl, panic written all over her face as she ran straight toward Hua Ren.

“I told you to stay inside!” she scolded, grabbing his arm before she whirled on Sheng Fei, her face red with anger. “And you! What kind of Alpha lets his wife out when you know how dangerous it is?!”

The bandit leader instantly perked up as he gazed at Hua Ren. “Oh?” he drawled. “This one’s an omega?” He actually thought they were both Alphas. The both gave off an extremely oppressive energy. He leaned forward on his horse, eyes gleaming as he noticed that truly, the one in lilac has a smaller physique. “Looks like we’re lucky tonight, boys.”

The bandits began to laugh and snicker, their eyes glinting with greediness.

Suddenly realizing what she had done, the woman’s face crumpled in horror. “I’m sorry...” She said to Hua Ren, hot tears spilling down her face. “I-I didn’t mean to...I’m so sorry...”

She only wanted to save them but she ended up putting them in trouble instead. She quickly stood in front of Hua Ren, stretching her arms and using her body to shield him. They took her son and many others. Enough was enough. She would not allow them to take another omega.

“You want an omega right?” She asked. “Take me then. They’re not even from this town. Let them go, please.”

The leader looked at his followers and they all burst out laughing. “What’s it to us if they’re from this town or not? All I know is that they were here when we arrived.”

The woman was about to continue begging when Hua Ren gently took her hand and pulled her aside. “It’s okay, ma’am.” He said as he took off his hat, offering her a warm smile. He placed the hat in her hands and wiped away her tears with the sleeve of his lilac robe. “I’ll be fine. I promise.”

The woman stared at him in awe, momentarily forgetting the danger, completely stunned by his beauty. His skin was smooth and pale like porcelain, delicate strands of his white hair fell around his face, framing it in a way that suited it. His delicate features held an otherworldly elegance and she couldn’t stop staring for she had never seen such a striking omega in her life.

As a fellow omega, she felt a strange mix of awe and admiration. She could tell that he was unlike any omega she had ever known because his demeanour was not soft and timid but strong and quietly fierce.

“And those animals who took your son...” Hua Ren said, his voice bringing her back to reality. He turned, eyes narrowing as he looked up at the bandits. “We’ll deal with them ma’am. You have my word.”

She was confused. The woman’s lips trembled. “W-What?”

But Hua Ren had already vanished from her sight.

In a blink of an eye, he was standing right in front of the leader’s horse.

The bandits were shocked but they didn’t even have time to react before Hua Ren gave the horse’s leg a sharp kick. The beast buckled with a startled neigh, sending the leader tumbling.

Hua Ren grabbed the man mid-fall by his collar, twisted his body in midair, and slammed him into the ground with a sickening crunch. It was so hard that the earth cracked beneath him, sending dust in the air.

The leader’s head hit the ground with brutal force, blood spraying out in a dark arc as his body slumped to the ground.

Dead or unconscious, no one could tell.

The entire area went silent as everyone stared, shocked and speechless.

The townsfolk remained frozen in their doorways and behind windows, eyes wide and trembling. The same question clung to their throats but refused to pass their lips:

Was this truly the gentle omega they had seen walking the market streets earlier?

Hua Ren turned to the other bandits, white eyes blazing with fury and the bandits backed away in fear. They had lost their leader in a matter of seconds. What were they supposed to do next?

It was always the same in battle. Once the head was cut off, the body lost its will to fight. Hua Ren knew this well; it was a strategy he employed often. He preferred clean, decisive victories—swift and merciless. Take out the leader, shatter morale, and watch the rest crumble. Disoriented and afraid, the enemy would lose focus, fight recklessly, or surrender outright.

Now, looking at the bandits—their trembling hands, the sweat dripping down their temples, their frantic, darting eyes searching desperately for leadership—Hua Ren knew the plan had worked. The fight was already over before it began.

Sheng Fei, who had gone to guard the gate, watched with quiet pride, a smile tugging at his lips. His omega was truly terrifying. And he wouldn’t want him any other way.

One of the bandits gaped at their leader’s body, wide-eyed and frozen. The blood pooled beneath his skull, staining the dust red. He couldn’t believe it. Their leader whom he looked up to and admired for his strength and courage. Their leader who seemed invincible, like nothing could ever touch him was now laying on the floor, defeated. By an omega at that. How could this be?

He gazed at Hua Ren, his dark eyes blazing with rage. “How dare you?!” He yelled, lunging forward with his machete. “How dare you touch our leader!!!!”

The rest saw this and gained a little bit of courage.

“Kill him!!” one of them shouted, voice cracking from panic. “Kill the omega!!”

They all began to shout, surging forward as one.

Hua Ren inhaled slowly, dropping into a low stance, his lilac robe fluttering around him like the petals of a deadly flower.

Fifteen men.

He cracked his knuckles. “Come, then.”

The first three bandits lunged at once, surrounding Hua Ren. He moved, his fists a blur, too fast for the naked eye to catch. His elbow shattered one’s jaw with a crunch and one of them screamed as his knee was snapped backward by a swift sidekick. The third went flying with a palm strike to the chest so hard it lifted him off his feet.
