Chapter 105: DNA Test results out

A lot had happened that day.

Ann received a call from her uncle at the hospital.

The results of the DNA test were out.

The samples she had sent over indicated that there were no blood relations between the male and two females.

The DNA test for the two females, however, showed that they were mother and daughter. Ann couldn’t believe her ears.

She was utterly shocked, down to the core, her hand trembling as she held the phone: "How is this possible? Uncle, could there be a mistake?"

She had previously thought that Bianca might be a half-sibling to Chris, or maybe Bianca was the illegitimate daughter.

The thought that they might not even be related by blood had never crossed her mind. What on earth was happening? And why was Bianca related to the nanny?

Was this a certain mistake?

"Ann, whose samples did you send over?"

Her uncle asked over the phone, "My colleague who has been doing this for over a decade conducted the test.

There couldn’t be any problems."

By then, Ann was too taken aback to comprehend whatever her uncle was saying.

She nearly dropped her phone, utterly astounded, as if she had lost her voice.

When she finally composed herself, she swallowed nervously and replied to her uncle hastily: "Uncle, please send me both the original and copies of the test results.

Also, could you send a digital version? These results are very important to me."

And of course it was important.

Ann had a nagging feeling that she had stumbled upon a huge secret of the Smith family.

She needed to think thoroughly about how to handle this matter. Ann hung up the phone, plopped down on the ground, and still couldn’t recover from the shock.

She is now slowly recalling Bianca’s series of strange reactions before— Two years after Maureen arrived at the Smith family, when Ann mentioned that she must look ordinary under her mask, the stiff face of Bianca.

When she mentioned that Maureen was simply disliked by the Smith family, Bianca stopped her on one hand, asking her not to talk nonsense, and on the other hand, she seemed relieved.

Now thinking about it, Ann seemed to sense a hint of worry hidden in that expression... ...

Also, no wonder Bianca’s feelings for Oliver are quite subtle. If the two were not siblings, Ann would have thought that Bianca liked her older brother!

Ann even joked about Bianca’s brother complex before. But now thinking about it, isn’t that just a like—?!

So does that mean, Bianca actually knew she was not the biological child of the Smith family?

Then does the entire Smith family know? Also, do the Smith family know about the blood relationship between Bianca and Mrs. Daniel?!

They probably don’t know, right! Otherwise, why every time Ann visited the Smith family, the way Bianca and the other Smith family members treated Mrs. Daniel was just like any ordinary nanny? Maureen came back only over two years ago.

The Smith family told outsiders that she was sick and had always been raised in the countryside as their other daughter.

However, hardly anyone in this circle believes it, including the Smith family, suspecting if she could be the illegitimate daughter of Mr. Smith But who would have thought, this could potentially be a case of a baby switched at birth?!

Ann was stunned by this family to the point her brain was buzzing.

If the school found out about this, their spoiled school belle, Bianca, was nothing more than a cuckoo usurping a magpie’s nest, and Maureen, who has always been ostracized, was actually the one who should have been recognized from childhood and hailed as a princess in their circle.

Friends, resources, family, money, status, all were supposed to belong to Maureen. —What would the people at school think? Oh my God!

Meanwhile. After the Smith family made their decision, they waited for Oliver to return from his company in the evening, and then they drove a large SUV.

The trunk was filled with a custom-made cake and gifts they each bought, setting off to the training camp where Maureen was.

Oliver drove the car, Mike sat in the passenger seat wearing a baseball cap, and Mr. Smith, mother, and Chris sat in the back seat.

In a sense, the rupture between Maureen and her family managed to gather the typically dispersed Smith family together for once, united in doing one thing.

By the time they arrived, Maureen was no longer at the training camp hotel.

After asking the front desk and a student about it, they learned that Maureen had gone to celebrate her friend’s birthday.

Since they didn’t know where she had gone and hadn’t installed a tracker on her phone, the Smith family had to park the car in the underground parking lot, book a suite in the hotel, and wait on the couch.

When Liam was brought up, the Smith family was somewhat puzzled.

"Does the young Liam like Maureen? Otherwise, why did he beat up my second brother for Maureen last time?"

Mike was exceedingly infuriated upon hearing Liam’s name: "Chris, explain this to me. What do you mean that kid with surname Fu beat me up?

It was clearly a mutual fight, and I gave him a pretty good beating too! Not to mention, they were ganging up on me!"

Mr. Smith glanced at the wall clock, his face a bit grim: "It’s already past ten at night, why isn’t Maureen back this late?

She couldn’t possibly be puppy-love-stricken, could she? She’s not even eighteen yet! Even if that kid is loaded, it still won’t work! I have to go find her."

Oliver quickly stopped Mr. Smith.

"Dad, please calm down a bit, her puppy love—" Oliver paused and said: "We can’t control that anymore."

"Otherwise it will only further worsen our already deteriorating relationship."

Upon these words, the room fell into dead silence again, and everyone went back to their quietness.

It wasn’t until half past eleven that the Smith family still hadn’t seen Maureen return. They had waited for over five hours.

Mrs. Smith, who was the weakest, was slightly pale and lying lethargically on the couch.

Unable to resist, Mr. Smith and Oliver went out again to search for her, waiting for a while at the hotel entrance.

Upon leaving, they ran into Bianca and a group of her friends coming back from a late-night snack. Bianca was taken aback: "Dad, big brother, what are you doing here?"

They specifically booked a room for Maureen’s birthday celebration and had not yet informed Bianca.

Both Mr. Smith and Oliver felt a bit awkward, merely nodding their heads at her in acknowledgment.

Bianca’s first reaction was that they had come to visit her during her training, but then she remembered that today was Maureen’s birthday, her joy immediately evaporated.

As for Noella and the rest of Bianca’s friends, they didn’t know it was Maureen’s birthday since they all thought that Maureen, like Bianca, was born on October 14th.

Upon seeing Bianca’s family, they naturally assumed they were there to see Bianca.

The group of girls were all very warm and hospitable, addressing Mr. Smith and Oliver, "Uncle, Brother, would you like to join us for some late-night snacks?

Tonight, Bianca is the one spending."

However, Mr. Smith and Oliver recognized Noella and another girl--according to what the boy they asked earlier said, these two girls had first thrown Maureen’s backpack, pencil case, test papers, and various other things into the trash.

Afterwards, a very big dispute occurred between Maureen and these girls, and they were even scolded by teacher Brown.

Upon hearing this, members of the Smith family were so angry they could not speak.

What was more unexpected was that after this kind of thing happened, Maureen did not tell the family, and surprisingly, Bianca did not tell the family either.

If it wasn’t for asking the friends around Richard, they would not have known.

Moreover, now, Bianca and Noella were seen laughing and talking as they returned from outside.

Mr. Smith and Oliver both looked at Bianca, their faces incredibly somber.

Bianca, not knowing that her family members already knew what happened in the afternoon, did not have time to react, and couldn’t help but ask, "Dad, Brother, what’s wrong?"

Just at this time, Chris, Mrs. Smith and Mike just happened to come out from the hotel.

Chris immediately spotted Noella and the other girl, his anger overwhelming him .

He stormed forward, cussing, "Damn it, were you the ones Cynthia mentioned this afternoon?

How dare you stand here?

How did you bully Maureen? If you have the guts, explain it now!!" Noella and the other girls were abruptly shocked, turning pale instantly.

Could it be that Bianca’s family did not come for Bianca, but came to teach them a lesson for what happened in the afternoon? Wasn’t this a big fuss to make?!

The whole family came?!

Wasn’t it said that Smith family only pampered Bianca and did not care much about Maureen?
