The Purgatory Calamity
Chapter 834 - 794

Chapter 834: 794

Atop a fragmented landmass.

The leader of the Netherworld Gods in this world, the somewhat emaciated figure was enveloped in fortune as he sat cross-legged on the "Gathering Divine Platform," adjusting his Qi and sorting out the tendons and bones that had been shattered by the Old Ape’s roar.

Forty-nine high-ranking Demon Gods, the roar that issued from the Blood Bone Mountain was not only directed at Pang Jian.

He too had suffered heavy damage.

In the depths of his soul’s ocean, another special crystalline body had fissured with dense cracks.

Earlier, the strange fortunes that had been pulled into the "Gathering Divine Platform" had drifted towards his shining crystalline body, beginning the repair of his Primordial Spirit.

Like Pang Jian, like Pang Lin, Long Di too had a Primordial Spirit!

His Primordial Spirit also possessed many peculiarities, capable of freely changing its size, capable of gathering nature’s spiritual energy of this world, capable of traversing the various "prison" realms.

Now, in his war with the Old Ape, even his Primordial Spirit had been wounded.

"Long Di!"

Pang Jian called out again from the sky, his gaze piercing through layers of blood-colored smog to reach Long Di’s "Gathering Divine Platform."

"I’m here."

Long Di heaved a silent sigh, helplessly glancing upwards.

In the depths of his black pupils were complex, indiscernible hues.

He had never anticipated that Pang Jian, having just freed himself from the Sea of Souls, would be able to clash with the Old Ape like this.

Before that, a roar from the Old Ape, not using his full strength, had caused Pang Jian’s Primordial Spirit to fracture and his body to burst into countless streaming points of light.

How long had it been?

While battling with the Old Ape, Pang Jian, atop the Sea of Souls and through the fortunes of Nether Prison and the pure spiritual energy of nature, had recast a brand-new Primordial Spirit.

And, he had rampaged all the way to the God Manifestation Realm!

The Sea of Souls’ favoritism toward Pang Jian, this world’s acknowledgment of him by nature’s spiritual energy, the resonant response of the order’s laws, all put pressure on Long Di.

Before, there was no other who could make him feel so endangered.

Not Bai Zi, not her master, had given him such pressure!

"I should have killed him the moment he entered Netherworld Realm..."

Long Di muttered to himself.

"Battling this Old Ape is your sworn duty. You hide away and refuse to come out; do you expect me to handle everything?" Pang Jian said coldly.

Yuan Yi, who was altering the inherent laws of Netherworld Realm with the flesh and blood world within the Realm God Card, chuckled again and said, "The power of the Nether Hell World can only be dread-inducing when concentrated in one person. Once it’s split up, divided into parts, you are courting your own destruction."

He was in no rush at all.

With the peculiarity of the Realm God Card, the mysterious workings of the Demon Prison he had imprinted in it were already spreading throughout the Netherworld Realm.

Numerous, invisible to the naked eye and undetectable by the soul, Heaven and Earth Laws quietly infiltrated the Netherworld Realm, warping the original laws and erasing the parts unfavorable to the Ancient Demon Clan.

As the aura of Nether Prison became more and more similar to that of the collapsing Demon Prison, he too grew stronger.

At the moment, the Netherworld Realm, and the three of Long Di, Pang Jian, and Bai Zi within it, none were of concern to him anymore.

When Nether Prison transforms into Demon Prison, even if it only partially resembles Demon Prison, he would face the three with even more ease.

"Howl!"

"Roar!"

Within that blood-hued alien land, the Ancient Demon Gods, refined from his Qi and blood, roared in unison with him.

"Kill!"

Suddenly, from the luminous Boundary Wall of Nether Prison, armies of the Ancient Demon Clan burst in.

Summoned by Yuan Yi, from other "prison" worlds to this one, the ancient demons joined the battlefield as soon as they entered the Nether Hell World.

Fahua, carrying those Demon Gods and powerful Demon Clan warriors, had just retreated.

Yet, new Demon Gods and mighty warriors of the Ancient Demon Clan replaced Fahua and his Demon Gods.

"Haha! The warriors of my Ancient Demon Clan have come in," Yuan Yi said elatedly.

Watching the troops of the Ancient Demon Clan flood into the Netherworld Realm, he felt as if the golden age of the Ancient Demon Clan was beginning in this world.

This place will replace the Ancient Demon World and become a sacred land coveted by all Demon Gods!

"Heaven Fiend Combat Hammer!"

The excited Sky-supporting Giant Ape opened its mouth, and a shiny silver hammer flew out from underneath its tongue.

The hammerhead, shaped like a lotus, glistened with deep red bloodlight, drawing all eyes to it.

It was like the center of the entire universe!

Gazing at this massive hammer was like looking into one’s own soul, as if seeing one’s own heart.

"Thud! Thud thud!"

The magnetic field of life within the hammer tugged at the hearts of all flesh-and-blood beings, causing erratic heartbeats.

Heavy, oppressive, the distressing sensation existed in every breast.

The hammer seemed to press down on everyone’s heart, sapping their strength, hindering the launch of their bloodline secret skills, as the coherence between their Qi, blood, and limbs weakened significantly.

"Whoosh! Whoosh whoosh!"

Countless tiny demon scriptures, like mosquitoes and flies, flew out from the lotus-like hammerhead, transforming into millions of bizarre hearts.

Those hearts, with different colors and shapes, revolved around the lotus like stars, creating a horrific seal that balanced and restricted the power of living beings’ flesh and blood.

"Ugh!"

Bai Zi grunted.

She and the giant insect she rode plummeted from the high sky.

Many Netherworld Gods, who were battling the invading Alien Tribes, and the powerful Nether Race Warriors, were also suppressed by the "Heaven Fiend Combat Hammer," continuously falling towards the deep sea.

Throughout the vast ocean, splashes from bodies hitting the water were heard everywhere, occasionally mixed with the shrill wails of the Nether Tribe’s people.

Slaughter and death permeated the entire Netherworld Realm.

Above, the shattered Fragment Land; below, piece by piece of land––the Nether Tribe, born and raised in this world, were being wantonly slaughtered by foreign invaders, teetering on the brink of extinction.

"Long Di!"

This stern shout came from Bai Zi.

"You are the leader of all the Netherworld Gods; it should be you who fights desperately! The Heaven Fiend Combat Hammer wielded by Old Ape must be countered by you!"

The anger and fear in Bai Zi’s heart reached an extreme with the emergence of the "Heaven Fiend Combat Hammer."

This bloody and brutal Demon Instrument could determine the future of the Nether Race and the Nether Hell in a short time, causing the Nether Race Warriors to die quickly.

"Whoosh!"

Long Di rode out on the "Gathering Divine Platform."

In Long Di’s palm was a cyan-gray spear, decorated with exquisite patterns spiraling around the shaft, one ring after another.

Each ring represented a cycle of reincarnation.

"Nether Prison Reincarnation Spear!"

Long Di raised his spear and charged at the ferocious Old Ape, pointing it at the "Heaven Fiend Combat Hammer" and shouted, "Yuan Yi, it’s not just our Nether Tribe at stake; the cycle of life and death for all beings in the Misty Sea World is affected by our Sea of Souls!"

"Boom! Boom, boom, boom!"

Vision after vision of illusory Earth Palaces appeared out of thin air along with Long Di’s thrust into the void.

The Earth Palaces that Pang Jian had once seen in the hands of the Ghost Mother, where every "Prison" world had a connection with the Sea of Souls in Nether Hell, intricately interwoven.

Now, as Long Di thrust his spear, a dozen or so illusory Earth Palaces materialized.

Pang Jian squinted, taking note that the order and laws of the Netherworld Realm were being infused into those illusory palaces, endowing them with supreme divine powers.

"Cycle of life and death, cause and effect intertwined."

Long Di intoned with his Spiritual Soul.

The voice that roared resonantly and somberly throughout heaven and earth seemed to echo with countless Soul Spirits and Ghost Objects within the palaces, responding to that spear.

Purgatory.

The Ghost Mother, who had been quietly cultivating within the Gui Sacrificial Sect in the First Realm, was astonished to see her Earth Palace, which she had spiritualized for thousands of years, mysteriously light up.

A force from another world was prying at her Earth Palace’s power in an incomprehensible way.

The Soul Spirits and Ghost Objects she had refined were being manipulated by a higher order of spiritual soul, compelled to offer their meager strength.

The Gui Sacrificial Sect Leader, who harbored resentment against Li Wang, and was lackluster when facing powerful figures like Lie Yang and Shajia, was now realizing her understanding of the cycle of reincarnation was superficial.

If someone could use other means to wield her Earth Palace and power from afar, what did that imply?

It meant they held her by the throat!

"Nether Hell!"

"Netherworld God Leader, Long Di!"

Through the Soul Spirits and Ghost Objects that were constantly offering their power, she saw more Earth Palaces, the "Gathering Divine Platform," and a man wielding a spear, dark-haired and dark-eyed.

She heard the people of that world addressing him.

And surprisingly, she also saw another person!

In the void behind a demonic body larger than the stars themselves, with an aura thick as the boundless deep sea – behind the Old Ape – stood a stalwart man, his body radiating Seven-color God Light, wearing a pitch-black robe, standing above a Thunder Pond.

The man’s face was stern, his gaze resolute, looking afar at the Old Ape.

Though he was wary of the Old Ape, there was not a deep-seated fear in him, rather he seemed eager to test his mettle.

"Pang Jian!"

The Ghost Mother shrieked in disbelief.

She could never have dreamt that this man, whom she so hated and feared, could not only wreak havoc in the Purgatory World, compelling God Spirits like Yan Lie and Shajia to flee.

But he could also stand alongside someone as formidable as Long Di in the Nether Hell, sharing the same sky.

"Pang Jian! You’ve taken a part of the authority that I should wield, seized some of the power that should belong to me! With this Old Ape, you must join forces with me!"

The Netherworld God Leader screamed.

The Ghost Mother was staggered again.

Determined to advance her realm and thinking her subjection to Pang Jian was merely due to their realm disparity, the Ghost Mother was shattered by Long Di’s words.

In the Nether Hell, Long Di could, without a word of notice, divert her powers and manipulate the Earth Palaces she governed.

If she truly faced Long Di, she feared she wouldn’t be able to utter a single word before being wiped out by him in an instant.

And yet, such a Long Di, such a Netherworld God Leader, was in her very own Nether Hell World, pressing Pang Jian to join and compel him to participate in the war.

Had Pang Jian already ascended to his level?

The Ghost Mother, who had never conceded defeat and wanted to contend with Pang Jian once more, finally collapsed at this moment.

She suddenly realized, she might never surpass Pang Jian in her lifetime, never able to reclaim her pride.

...

In the tumultuous Thunder and Lightning Sea, Pang Jian’s Primordial Spirit Body slowly swelled and grew stronger.

"Sigh! Sigh, sigh!"

The nature’s spiritual energy of this world ceaselessly poured into his Primordial Spirit, making the radiance emanating from his body ever more dazzling.

"God Manifestation Realm."

Pang Jian muttered.
