The Purgatory Calamity
Chapter 589 - 557: Hunting the God Spirit_1

Chapter 589: Chapter 557: Hunting the God Spirit_1

Pang Jian’s Immortal Primordial Spirit, resplendent with seven colors, was slowly devouring the Alien God Dark Bat within the Mysterious Fog.

Inside its waist and abdomen, a thick pool of Demon Element Power swirled around a massive Fire Grinding Disc, and within the disc was a Lava Furnace.

Shadow after shadow of demons, hazy in form and vast and ancient in breath, exuded mystery everywhere as they joined forces to push the immense Fire Grinding Disc, churning the Furnace Divine Power within.

Each shadow, with its dissipating breath not quite the same, varied in shape and form.

Some shadows were fierce and terrifying, some exhaled an aura of noble presence, while others were alluring or bloodthirstily insane, a multitude too many to count.

The "Original Demon Fusion Spell," imprinted deep in the Source Demon’s soul, was among the most mystical and miraculous of the Demonic Path Spells, embodying the strengths of all Outer World Demon Gods.

The Original Demon, a terrifying existence aiming to challenge the Alien God Sovereign, carried the grand wishes and hopes of many Great Demon Gods.

Because of Him, the "Original Demon Fusion Spell" truly brought together the strengths of many Demon Gods and merged the essence of Ancient and Modern Demon Tao, the supreme treasure of demonic spells.

Once this demonic spell was activated, the Demon Element Power would naturally transform into the images of thousands of Demon Gods and Great Demon Gods.

The "Furnace," pushed by the collective force of many Demon Gods, lived up to the prestige of the supreme demonic tome, breaking down the Dark Bat’s full strength into clear and discernible parts.

Beneath the "Furnace" Grinding Disc, the essence of dark magic was the first to overflow, slowly condensing into a pitch-black orb.

It resembled a Heart of Darkness.

Within that orb, the various mystical manifestations of the Dark Bat, such as black roses, crows, vultures, tombstones, and fragmented crosses all appeared, faint and intermittent.

The "Original Demon Fusion Spell" had indeed plundered the divine consciousness of the God of Darkness, marked within His body!

And Pang Jian’s rare Divine Body in this world could indeed carry these dark mysteries, transforming it into a part of his Immortal Primordial Spirit in the form of a dark orb.

The massive Fire Grinding Disc continued to turn, with thousands of formidable Demon God images still propelling it.

Gradually, the purest Divine Soul Power, stripped of extraneous thoughts and wills, was directly absorbed by Pang Jian’s Immortal Primordial Spirit, replenishing the energy he had lost in previous battles.

Beyond that, the robust qi and blood of the God of Darkness were also decomposed.

Thus, within the body of Pang Jian’s Immortal Primordial Spirit, an additional mass of viscous qi and blood emerged, resembling another heart.

Soul Power, Dark Divine Power, qi, and blood—refined forcibly by the "Original Demon Fusion Spell," became vital nutrients for this Divine Body, significantly enhancing Pang Jian’s strength.

He suddenly felt that, after the battles in the Dark Prison, after his return to the Purgatory World,

he might be able to face the mightiest warriors of the Purgatory, such as Li Wang, Li Bai, and the Ghost Mother, with his sword in hand.

By then, he, as the new generation Sword God, would truly command the awe and attention of the gods.

After pondering this for a while, aside from a scepter thick with the aura of darkness, the God of Darkness had left no other remnants.

"A rather fine treasure of darkness, yet it doesn’t reach the level of a Divine Artifact."

The Source Demon within the minor world of the sword sniffed at the scent of the Dark Scepter and judged, "You can give this item to someone else; there’s no need to keep it for yourself."

He had no regard for the Dark Scepter.

In His view, only a true Divine Artifact was fitting for Pang Jian, given his current combat power and status.

As the first of the Human Race to reach the Immortal Realm, and having just left the Purgatory World, he had easily slain a God of Darkness; what object couldn’t he attain in the future?

Moreover, they were about to venture deep into the Dark Prison to slaughter the powerful Star Devourer.

He foresaw a future in which Pang Jian, wielding the Divine Sword, would soar through the Mysterious Fog and even the vast Star River above, his feet planted on the "Heart of Winter," slaughtering all in his path.

If it wasn’t a Divine Artifact, it was unworthy of being collected by Pang Jian.

"When I return to Purgatory, I’ll give it to that Rebel Kid."

Pang Jian murmured softly and casually stowed away the Dark Scepter.

In the Fifth Realm, the Dark Bat had set its sights on the Rebel Kid, whose predecessor was an ancient dragon of darkness.

Giving him the scepter would be putting it to good use.

"Eh!"

His Divine Consciousness, spreading out, suddenly noticed the escape of the two six-armed Alien Gods at this moment.

They fled swiftly, racing through the Mysterious Fog like lightning, spanning thousands of miles in a flash.

After a brief assessment, Pang Jian felt that, if he gave chase with all his might, it was possible for him to overtake the two Alien Gods from the Giant Spirit Race within the Mysterious Fog and slay them.

However, those two six-armed Alien Gods seemed to offer little contribution to the growth of his power.

Far less than the two Water Gods of the Sea Clan.

"It’s the power of the Water Gods that you currently lack the most."

The Source Demon also provided an answer.

Pang Jian focused once more and soon noticed the Water Gods of the Naga, Naga, and Naga, forced to split by the Thunder God Fan Di and flee in different directions.

Fan Di was pursuing the female Water God, Naga.

"Within a certain distance, these two divine beings of the Sea Clan can instantly communicate with each other. They have a mental connection and possess objects that allow them to teleport short distances. Should either of them escape, they can soon become a beacon for the other’s location."

The Source Demon reminded.

"Understood."

Without further hesitation, Pang Jian set off toward the male Water God Naga.

...

Dark Prison.

The Goddess of Cold Crystal and the Moon Goddess took the Divine Weapon Sharp Blades corresponding to their True Bodies from the Altar of Praying to God.

A miniature radiant glacier fell into the hands of the Goddess of Cold Crystal, who now possessed a Dark Spirit Clan body. She dragged the terrifying icy glacier with one hand, collecting the Divine Power within.

In just a few hours, the Dark Spirit Clan woman she had possessed had her Bloodline advanced to level nine.

Once reaching level nine, her body was enveloped in a chilling radiance, further tempering her bones and organs.

Elsewhere.

Ying Yue, using a crescent moon-shaped Divine Artifact, first purged the Star Power from the body of the Shadow Clan woman, then proceeded to infuse the Bright Moon Divine Power from within the crescent-shaped Divine Artifact.

The stars and the moon resonated.

The bones, organs, and meridians of the Shadow Clan woman, which could adapt to Star Power, were also thus capable of adapting to Moon Energy.

With the infusion of Moon Divine Power and the cleansing and tempering of the body’s Bloodline, the Shadow Clan woman Ying Yue possessed also advanced her Bloodline to the ninth level.

With the Bloodline reaching level nine, it meant that the Star Devourer, nestled within that grey-yellow star, might sense their presence.

"Do you feel it?"

Ying Yue narrowed her eyes slightly, the crescent moon and full moon marks on her forehead glinting quietly, and she said in a cold voice, "The Star Devourer knows we have descended."

The Goddess of Cold Crystal snorted, "This Star Devourer is quite bold."

The two Outer Goddesses, having descended into the Dark Prison by taking possession of women from the Dark Spirit Clan and the Shadow Clan through their Divine Consciousness, both sensed a vibration carrying a warning will.

That meant, as they elevated the Bloodline of their puppet bodies to level nine, the Star Devourer knew they were the Descended Ones.

It also knew they were middle-level gods from beyond.

The Star Devourer was not only unafraid, showing no will to beg for mercy, but it even dared to send out a warning to them.

Warning them not to intervene in the affairs of the Dark Prison, and to leave the Dark Prison as soon as possible, lest they lose two strands of painstakingly refined Divine Consciousness for nothing.

"He’s certain that our True Bodies can’t break through the Boundary Wall of Purgatory and unleash our true power."

Ying Yue frowned slightly, speaking cautiously, "He is not afraid, which means he has enough confidence that he can conquer both of us wielding Divine Artifacts."

The Goddess of Cold Crystal nodded gently and said, "Since that is the case, we need not be hasty. I can feel that Pang Jian... has emerged from Purgatory once more, heading towards the Dark Prison World."

"That man is not one to easily give up; he will soon return to the Dark Prison."

At the thought of this, the Goddess of Cold Crystal excitedly anticipated their upcoming encounter.

The thought of meeting Pang Jian again in the Dark Prison in such a form filled her with an uncontrollable sense of expectation.

"If it weren’t for you, I would never meet him, nor would I ever join forces with him!" Ying Yue said coldly.

...

The escape plan of the Water God Naga and Naga, having been seen through by the Source Demon, was naturally aborted.

Before Naga could use the Divine Object he carried to teleport beside his brother, the male Water God was pierced through by the Origin Demon Sword.

A sword came from the depths of the Mysterious Fog, its momentum rainbow-like and irresistible.

This sword was a concentration of Pang Jian’s peak combat strength. All of Naga’s water barriers, sanctuaries, and the forces of water’s gravity, buoyancy, and compression were rendered useless under this sword.

At the swing of the sword, the Star River seemed to collapse as countless thunder orbs mixed with hailstones, coalescing into a storm of ice and thunder.

The storm obliterated every obstacle, allowing the sword to strike directly below the serpent neck of Naga, piercing through.

Subsequently, Pang Jian repeated the process and, using the "Original Demon Fusion Spell", ingested the Water God Naga into his body in the same manner as he did the Dark Bat.

While Naga was not yet dead, and his Spiritual Soul had not perished or flesh dissipated, Pang Jian began to plunder the God Tao of water that He had comprehended.

During this process, Fan Di also killed Naga, beginning to consume the flesh and blood of this Sea Clan God Spirit.

A god of the Human Race and a Demon God of the Ancient Demon Clan each had their own gains.

...

Outer Starry Sky.

Two six-armed giants of the Giant Spirit Race, guided by the Divine Object, emerged from the Mysterious Fog and returned to the glittering expanse of the high heavens.

At their fastest pace, they arrived at a star wrapped in surging Demon Element Power, kneeling before a towering godly figure.

This godly figure had four heads, four faces, and four arms; it was the Great Demon God Hemo Tian.

Although Hemo Tian was a Great Demon God, His original race was not the Demon Clan but the Giant Spirit Race, just like the two of them.

For this reason, even though the God Tao they cultivated were different, the two six-armed giants from the Giant Spirit Race still held respect for Hemo Tian and willingly accepted His orders.

"A god of the Human Race has slain the Dark Bat in the Mysterious Fog, and the sorcery He used seems to be Demonic Path Sorcery as well."

"He wielded a Black Gold Demon Sword, and even that sword feels similar to Your presence!"

The two six-armed giants of the Giant Spirit Race, holding the Demon Mirror granted by Hemo Tian, reported their findings in the Mysterious Fog truthfully.

They also mimicked the appearance of Pang Jian, the design of his sword, and his unique aura.

The Great Demon God Hemo Tian listened carefully and attentively, querying a few details specifically.

Finally, Hemo Tian said in a deep voice, "I know who he is now!"
