Chapter 352: Chapter 331 Danger of the Human Race_1

"Whoosh! Whoosh, whoosh!"

The interwoven Thunder and Lightning Sea, where streaks of lightning disappeared into the Thunder Pond.

No more columns of seven-colored thunderbolts surged towards the sky.

Soon, all the lightning in the entire heaven and earth had actually all slipped into a small silver-white Thunder Pond.

The iron tree rooted within the Thunder Pond, which had allowed the Lei Meng Beast God to conduct Its Divine Consciousness, was extinguished by a brilliant sword light, turning into nothing but dust.

The ranting of the Lei Meng Beast and the derisive whispers of the Spider God Yang Luo fell silent at this moment.

"Did we win?"

"The lightning has all disappeared. Has the god spirit governing Thunder Prison vanished without a trace?"

"My lord, my lord, we have won the victory!"

Loud cheers like a landslide or a tsunami came from The Frozen Land, also resounding in the crystal nucleus of the Star of Winter, clearly heard by Pang Jian.

"The Thunder Pond!"

"Swoosh!"

Pang Jian’s figure flashed, stepping into the relic left by the Thunder God, replacing the Lei Meng Beast God and also stepping on a mysterious divine seal.

"The iron tree was the vessel for the Lei Meng Beast God’s descent. With this tree destroyed, It can no longer channel Its power."

With this thought, the golden figure at the Heart of Winter began to move pieces of ice around again.

Nine floating glaciers on the edge of the Forbidden Land "whoooshed" by, swiftly appearing in mid-air next to the Thunder Pond.

The originally towering glaciers, due to the extreme depletion of power, had all shrunk by two thirds.

Only the remaining glaciers, still over three thousand zhang tall, with their smooth and bright sides facing the peculiar Thunder Pond, were ready to exert their power once again at any moment.

"Swoosh!"

The massive Heart of Winter also floated above Pang Jian’s head, poised for action.

Having done all this, Pang Jian allowed his Divine Consciousness, his power of thunder, and his Alien Power of coldness to all seep into the interior of the Thunder Pond, intending to completely prevent the Lei Meng Beast God from descending again.

"Stop checking. The Observer lured you close to the Thunder Pond, induced you to sense with lightning, so that your Divine Sense, with the characteristics of the Ming Prison Soul Bee, absorbed a part of the pond."

"What your Divine Sense erased was the last soul imprint of the Thunder God. The existence of this soul imprint meant to prevent the lightning from entering the Thunder Pond."

"Because once the lightning enters the Thunder Pond, it would catalyze that tree and allow the Lei Meng Beast God to perceive it."

"The Thunder God realized before falling that He had been betrayed by the Lei Meng Beast God. He hastily left this move as his last resort, not wanting Lei Meng to succeed and not wanting the Thunder Pond to fall into the miscreant’s hands."

The Spider God Yang Luo stated the truth with a cold face.

After pausing, She sighed helplessly from a pale cold fog in the depths of the void, "Truly a waste."

"As the new god of the Thunder Prison and in possession of a treasure left by the Thunder God, you’ve been thoroughly defeated."

On Her beautiful face was written nothing but indifference and disdain, "A low-rank god is just a low-rank god, not even qualified to reside in the Hall of Gods in the past."

"Pang Jian..."

She observed coldly, "Purgatory has now been revealed, exposed to the view of the gods, and with the once-in-a-hundred-thousand-years change of heaven and earth, this realm is destined to destruction!"

"This original God and Demon Training Field, which has birthed different kinds from the Human Race, should have been destroyed long ago!"

"The Hall of Gods destroyed by your Human Race is beginning to be reforged. When the gods return one by one, the Human True Gods fleeing in the Boundless Star River will ultimately be apprehended and brought to the Hall of Gods to atone with their deaths."

"The Human Race is doomed to vanish in the river of time."

With these murmuring words, Yang Luo gracefully flew out of the pale cold fog, escaping thousands of miles away in an instant.

Moments later, She once again vanished into the Flame Fragment Land.

The shattered Hall of Gods was on the verge of being reforged. The original God and Demon Training Field, the return of the gods, and the Human True Gods all fleeing in exile...

These messages left by Her shook Pang Jian to the core.

Pang Jian suddenly had a strong intuition that the Human True Gods who had stepped out of Purgatory had a resplendent and glorious history in the vast Outer Realm of stars.

The Hall of Gods seemed to be a place where Outer Realm deities controlled all the realms of heaven and earth.

In the history of the Human Race, towering ancient existences had once joined forces to shatter the Hall of Gods, only to be gravely injured themselves.

Following this battle, the surviving Human True Gods were hunted by the Outer Realm deities and could only wander and hide in the Boundless Star River.

Their greatest fear was approaching Purgatory, let alone attempting to return to Purgatory.

And even...

At this thought, Pang Jian’s mind was violently shaken, as he realized a terrifying truth.

Purgatory was like a massive well, and beyond its mouth lay the vast Star River, with the Boundary Wall and Mysterious Fog around it acting not only as a barrier preventing the beings of Purgatory from leaving but also as a protection denying entry to Outer Realm beings.

These were restrictions as well as protections.

The horrific seals at the mouth of the well could only be broken by True Gods, who could then leap out into the endless Star River where the Outer Realm deities roamed.

Since there were Human True Gods that had destroyed the Hall of Gods and they now found themselves in an exiled state, could it be that Outer Realm gods were guarding outside Purgatory’s mouth?

When the Human True Gods struggled with all their might to break the seal and leap out into the Star River, would they immediately face encirclement and destruction by numerous Alien Gods?

The True Gods who had departed, who among them could escape the attacks of the many Outer Realm Alien Gods and live to wander the vast Star River as the earlier True Gods did?

Thought after thought ran wild in Pang Jian’s mind, and the more he thought, the more terrifying it felt. He sensed that the Purgatory Human Tribe simply had no path to survival.

"What the Human Race should truly fear," he thought, "is not being suppressed in the Fifth Realm, not those Alien Tribes that never manage to emerge. The Human Race’s victory within Purgatory is nothing when compared to the vastness of the outer starry heavens."

"Without the Mysterious Fog, without the Boundary Wall, without the seals at the mouth of the well, the Human Race...would probably have been extinct long ago."

Pang Jian suddenly felt a tremendous pressure.

The words of Yang Luo, after his deep contemplation, made him feel a suffocating sense of despair.

The great change had arrived, the calamity was underway; where lay the path to survival for the Purgatory Human Tribe?

"Thunder Pond!"

After a moment of deep thought, Pang Jian began to operate the "Pot Heaven Nourishing Qi Spell," utilizing the small Thunder Vortex in his Sea of Consciousness.

He tried his utmost to draw in the Thunder Pond, to incorporate it into his Spiritual Sea, to settle it within the vortex of thunder.

"If the Heart of Winter could, then the Thunder Pond certainly must as well!"

"Crackle!"

Within the Spiritual Sea, lightning from the Thunder Vortex ran wild, the stars no longer shone a hint of light, and the essence of the two moons—one round and one curved—was also squandered away.

Even the Spiritual Sea had little strength left.

With all his might, Pang Jian could only see the silvery Thunder Pond tremble, yet it was not levered by his will, nor did it successfully fall into the vortex in his Spiritual Sea.

"It’s possible, it’s just that I currently lack the strength. It seems I need to restore my power first."

After some thought, Pang Jian tried to first toss the Thunder Pond into his storage ring, only to quickly realize it was not possible.

"It seems I can only restore my strength as quickly as possible, then continue to attempt to gather it using the Chaos Sea."

He let out a light sigh, leaving the nine glaciers to settle randomly on the empty ground of the Forbidden Land of the Thunder God, and put away the "Heart of Winter."

"Huh?"

Suddenly, he noticed a sharp dragon horn poking out from the bottom of a pit.

"Ice Armor Eel Dragon!"

Almost having forgotten about it, Pang Jian, riding on the shell of the Mysterious Turtle, flew swiftly to the sky above the hole where the dragon horn emerged, and coldly said, "How long do you plan to hide?"

"I wasn’t hiding!"

The Ice Armor Eel Dragon growled lowly as it shattered the rocks at the bottom of the pit with its dragon horn, struggling to climb out a bit laboriously.

It did not soar into the sky or immediately fly away from the Forbidden Land of the Thunder God, instead, it twisted its huge dragon head to look around before asking, "Is the Lei Meng Beast God dead?"

"Dead?"

Pang Jian shook his head, "That is a God Spirit of the Thunder Prison, His true form and complete soul didn’t descend, so what death are you talking about? What has been obliterated is only a relatively special puppet body of His."

"It was very strong, too!" The voice of the Ice Armor Eel Dragon was hoarse and harsh, as if it had recognized reality, and it sighed, "I was too full of myself, I thought that in this place where god spirits can’t truly descend, I was the strongest."

After speaking, it emotionlessly spat out those who survived from its tongue.

"What Sea God? It’s all deceitful, I’m far from it!"

It shook its head irritably, and all the Sea Clan tribespeople who had been protected by it and not yet died, were instantly killed by its power; not one was left alive.

"I belong to Purgatory; I’m not some sea beast from the celestial sects, I ultimately have to return."

Raising its head, it looked at Pang Jian with its large eyes, its gaze gradually growing vacant, and murmured, "A very, very long time ago, someone who looked a bit like you captured me from the Eternal Darkness of the Fifth Realm, brought me into this cursed place enshrouded in the Mysterious Fog, and placed me in a lake."

"Since then, I have never left."

"He said that one day in the future, someone would come in and take me back to Purgatory."

"But I don’t know who that person is, nor do I believe what he said. I will leave this accursed place with my power; I don’t need his help!"

"..."

The Ice Armor Eel Dragon roared with fury.

Pang Jian stood there stupefied, watching him shout and protest, watching his myriad emotions unfold.

"Has someone, like capturing the Dark Giant Python, also captured an Ice Armor Eel Dragon? Is it the same person who caused trouble in the Solitude Mountain Range, concocting the Mysterious Turtle, Corrosion Boundary Vine, and beehives?"

He frowned in deep contemplation.

"Pang Jian!"

"Lord!"

Qi Qingsong, along with the people of the Ice Tribe, rushed over from The Frozen Land after the battle had ended.

"Pang Jian..."

In the mouth of the Ice Armor Eel Dragon, those who had survived looked dazedly at the godlike figure hovering in the void, feeling increasingly bewildered.

They had memory loss and couldn’t coherently recall all that had happened.

Yet in the remaining memories they had, certain scenes were so profound they couldn’t be erased.

Above Pang Jian’s head was a colossal Heart of Winter, commanding nine majestic ice mountains, battling against the sky-high sea of thunder; that scene had unfolded not long ago.

Thus, it was indelibly profound.

"Pang Jian is alive, yet that sea of thunder has vanished, the Lei Meng Beast God... could he be dead?"

Lu Jie from the Desolated Terrains, whose memory remained relatively intact, was now showing a shocked expression.

Subconsciously, she glanced at Fu Wangchen, whose face was somber, and her eyes couldn’t help but fill with confusion.

"Pang Jian, Junior Brother Fu, who is right and who is wrong?"

"If the wrong one is Junior Brother Fu, then it would mean that he has caused the death of so many people!"
