"Miss, I’ll go check," Yi Lian whispered, a look of wariness and urgency on her face.

Looks like the visitor holds a high status. Lin Ziyin gently smiled, lowered her head, and continued reading.

Her heart actually calmed down when someone was approaching.

As Yi Lian went out, the commotion outside seemed to grow louder. Soon after, two beautiful women burst in, followed by a bunch of maids with a flustered Yi Lian trailing behind them.

"Are you the lowly woman Alhatu has taken a fancy to?" As soon as Maya came in, she spotted the woman she was looking for. Seeing her rival firsthand, she can’t lose her momentum and she lifted her head arrogantly, scrutinizing Lin Ziyin.

"Are you mute? Answer me," she challenged arrogantly.

Lin Ziyin responded with a nonchalant smile, "So you are the lowly woman who has set her sights on Alhatu?"

Maya had never been insulted in such a manner before, her face instantly flushed purple with rage, "Lowly woman, are you courting death?"

After saying this, she pulled out the whip at her waist, ready to attack.

Lin Ziyin sat calmly, offering the princess a somewhat mocking look.

Princess Six gave a bitter smile and loudly scolded Maya, "Maya, know your place. This is the residence of the Second Prince, and this lady is Alhatu’s most esteemed guest, you cannot behave in such a presumptuous way."

"You are actually siding with her?" Maya looked at Princess Six in disbelief.

She couldn’t believe that Princess Six would switch sides and support the lowly woman in front of them, especially since she was the one who called for the princess’s support.

"Maya, you’ve gone too far," Princess Six didn’t indulge Maya as she usually did, but rebuked her sternly.

Maya’s eyes grew wider, still pointing her whip at Lin Ziyin, she even forgot to pull it back.

"I’m curious, what talents do you possess to have Alhatu go to such lengths for you?" disregarding Maya, Princess Six turned to Lin Ziyin to ask.

"Don’t you know what my value is, Your Highness?" Lin Ziyin countered.

Princess Six grumbled slightly, she didn’t care for Lin Ziyin’s evasive manner, she was a person of the North Country, characterized by directness and boldness.

"If Your Highness wants to know if I can offer any aid to Alhatu, I can assure Your Highness, it will depend on the attitude of the North Country’s emperor," Lin Ziyin explained calmly, herself not fond of talking in a roundabout way.

"You already have a plan in mind, don’t you?" Princess Six’s eyes lit up.

"I wouldn’t dare say that I have a good plan, but I do have a few simple suggestions. However, these suggestions are not yet mature, I will have to conduct an onsite inspection before making any decisions," Lin Ziyin spoke calmly.

Listening to her words, Princess Six no longer dared to underestimate Lin Ziyin. From the previous conversation, Lin Ziyin was warning her, if they want the queen of the tomb to assist Alhatu, they would have to satisfy Lin Ziyin. If the queen is displeased, she could easily abandon Alhatu.
