Chapter 385: 384 You Might As Well Kill Me (Third Update)

Yelu Yan didn’t know how many kind words he had said before Li Xianyun finally parted her red lips and said, "You might as well have killed me."

She was finally willing to speak, to give him some attention, and Yelu Yan should have been happy, but his heart chilled by half when he heard her words.

Yelu Yan lifted his large hand and gently turned her small face toward him, gazing into her eyes, he said, "It’s all my fault, but please don’t say such things again, it’s very distressing for me to hear."

Li Xianyun looked at him with moist eyes and eventually softened her heart. Although she didn’t want to admit it, she had not resisted too much when he lost control earlier; that intense pleasure, which blanked her mind, had ensnared her.

She was angry because he had told her to "endure it." He only thought of his own pleasure, without any consideration for her. It was his words that had made her so angry.

He had never been this rough and wild before.

She didn’t even have a chance to catch her breath.

For a moment, she truly felt like he was going to kill her.

Yelu Yan kissed her beautiful small face, "I truly realize my mistake now. I won’t do it again next time, alright?"

Such soft words coming from Yelu Yan’s mouth created a huge contrast with his tall and imposing image.

She felt tender-hearted, but she didn’t want to make it easy on him.

The corners of Yelu Yan’s eyes reddened slightly as he watched her without blinking.

"Xianxian, why don’t you give me a beating? As long as it makes you feel better, you can do whatever you want to me."

He really had been muddled these last two days, indulging himself too much.

As Yelu Yan spoke, he reached to take her hand to hit himself.

Li Xianyun wanted to pull her hand back, but to Yelu Yan, her feeble strength wasn’t worth mentioning.

Just as she was about to hit him, Li Xianyun said angrily, "Husband, don’t be like this, otherwise I will really ignore you."

Yelu Yan had no choice but to stop, holding her hand, he squeezed it, "Xianxian, as long as you’re not angry, you can ask me to do anything."

Li Xianyun "hmphed" and said, "You only know how to sweet-talk me. When it comes down to that, you don’t care about anything else, and even tell me to endure. Why are you so bad!"

The more she talked, the angrier she got. She raised her hand and hit his chest, not feeling relieved, she grabbed his shoulder, leaned in, and bit down hard on it.

Yelu Yan’s brows didn’t even twitch. Instead, he savored it.

He liked it when Li Xianyun left marks on his body.

The last time she left nail marks on his neck, Yelu Yan had been thrilled. Whenever he missed her, he would touch the scratched area.

Now that the nail marks had faded, he felt somewhat lost, but this bite mark was just perfect.

Li Xianyun lay on the pillow, looking at the circle of red bite marks on Yelu Yan’s left shoulder, with faint traces of blood seeping from the deeper bites.

She raised her delicate white hand, gently caressing the skin beside the bite mark, "Does it hurt?"

"No."

"Liar," Li Xianyun’s expression finally softened a bit.

Yelu Yan felt joy in his heart and kissed her lips, "I like it when you leave your marks on me."

He was telling the truth.

He paused for a moment, then asked softly, "Xianxian, can you forgive me, please?"

"Mhm."

-

Time returned to the present.

Li Xianyun continued arranging the items on the table without looking up and said, "I haven’t ignored you."

Yelu Yan continued to lean in to watch her, circling around her like a loyal big dog, "What else is left undone? Let me help you."

Li Xianyun picked up an object intending to place it on a shelf nearby.

Yelu Yan took it from her, "Where does this go?"

"On the third shelf."

"Here?"

"Mhm."

Li Xianyun checked the remaining few rooms, attending to any issues she found.

Yelu Yan was as attentive as ever, eager to take on any task.

For Li Xianyun, it was a noticeable relief.

Everything was now ready; they were just waiting for the clinic to open for consultations the next day.

Yelu Yan stayed close by Li Xianyun’s side, matching her step for step, and he didn’t dare to rush her, patiently accompanying her until she said, "Let’s go."

Only then did Yelu Yan take Li Xianyun’s small hand and walk towards the door.

Youlan saw her Family Head from afar, her face full of guilt.

The truth was that it really wasn’t her fault earlier. The Khan had signaled for her to leave; how could she not obey?

Li Xianyun looked at her and said, "It’s fine."

Youlan felt significantly relieved in her heart.

Her Family Head was really considerate; it was so good to serve a master like her.

As the group exited the Xuanyi Pavilion, Yelu Yan helped Li Xianyun into the carriage and sat in it himself.

Yelu Yan placed Li Xianyun on his lap and planted a heavy kiss on her cheek, "Hungry? What would you like to eat?"

Li Xianyun leaned against Yelu Yan’s embrace, "Anything light will do."

She was so tired that she felt like she was falling apart, and all she wanted to do was sleep.

"Shall we eat first then return to the palace, is that okay?"

He always spoke to Li Xianyun as if asking for her agreement.

Li Xianyun quietly tugged at Yelu Yan’s clothes, found a comfortable position against his chest, and closed her eyes, mumbling a soft "Mhm."

She was truly exhausted.

Yelu Yan kissed the top of her hair and looked at her, "If you’re tired, why don’t we just go back to the palace?"

Li Xianyun suddenly opened her eyes and shook her head at him, "I don’t want to return to the palace."

Yelu Yan laughed softly, "So you truly are avoiding me, and that’s why you don’t want to go back."

Li Xianyun smiled with pursed lips, "It’s because you’re such a beast."

Yelu Yan laughed, "Alright, alright, I am a beast. The beast will let you rest today and not touch you, how about that?"

Li Xianyun looked at him in disbelief, "Really?"

Yelu Yan laid a fierce kiss on her lips, "Really."

Li Xianyun rested her head against Yelu Yan’s sturdy chest, continued to clutch at his clothes, closed her eyes, and said in a tender voice, "Then let’s go back to the palace."

As she spoke, she burst out laughing, her sweet dimples showing.

The carriage moved slowly, traveling a great distance.

Two people emerged from around the corner of the street.

The lamplight from the lanterns cast a glow on the leading man’s handsome, jade-like face.

The servant by his side observed his master, "Young master, the princess is in that carriage. Aren’t you going to meet her?"

"Now is not the right time. There are some things I need to discuss with her alone."

The servant looked regretfully at his young master’s cold and lonely figure, lamenting how tough the world was, and how true lovers often fail to end up together.

What a pity.

Yelu Yan and Li Xianyun’s entourage returned to the palace.

Yelu Yan accompanied Li Xianyun for her meal, then carried her to the bathhouse, and after she finished bathing, he carried her back, tenderly drying her hair as she lay on the bed.

Exhausted, Li Xianyun hummed a few times before falling asleep, as docile as a child.

Yelu Yan knew that Li Xianyun wasn’t as compliant on the surface, nor was she dependent on him.

If Li Xianyun relied on him, if she considered him her man, she would have shared her plans for revenge and sought his help.

On the surface, she seemed delicate and easily bullied, always yielding to him, yet she was actually quite resolute. She wouldn’t reveal even half a word about the things she didn’t want him to be involved in.

Yelu Yan always felt he couldn’t truly enter her heart, no matter what he did.
