Chapter 332: Why do you always want to drive your husband away? (Second update)

Li Xianyun said he was being unfair, but Yelu Yan didn’t argue, instead, he focused on kissing her.

He pecked her gleaming white swan neck bit by bit, kissed the roots of her ears, and took her tender earlobes into his mouth.

Li Xianyun let out a light "mmph" and saw through the brass mirror Yelu Yan affectionately kissing her.

Her cheeks were flushed with a drunken redness.

"My lord, I’ve started my monthly cycle," Li Xianyun reminded him in a coy voice.

Yelu Yan, while kissing her cheek, murmured indistinctly, "I know, it’s just a kiss."

As he said this, his iron-like arm surrounded her chest, easily deforming the shape there.

Li Xianyun hadn’t yet wrapped herself in soft cloth and her sleepwear had a somewhat large neckline, which, when clutched by him, allowed her fair skin to spill out.

Yelu Yan looked down and, turning her body towards the brass mirror, embraced her from behind, looking at her reflection.

Li Xianyun, feeling shy, wanted to hide as if there was someone peering at her secrets through the mirror.

The man, however, was intrigued and reached out to pull her neckline open.

Li Xianyun quickly covered his coarse hand and, with blushing cheeks, said, "My lord, don’t do that."

Yelu Yan, kissing her ear, coaxed, "Be good."

Li Xianyun still refused, so Yelu Yan took her hand away and pinned it behind her back, forcing her to lift her head and thrust out her chest.

Yelu Yan’s mouth curved into a mischievous smile as he rested his chin lightly on her slender shoulders and continued to tug at the neckline.

Li Xianyun bit her lip lightly, embarrassed and wanting to hide but finding nowhere to escape, she could only let her gaze sweep elsewhere.

The delightful sight sprang forth, dazzling to the eyes.

Yelu Yan breathed into her ear and whispered softly, "How beautiful."

Upon hearing these words, Li Xianyun’s mind boomed thunderously.

She truly didn’t understand how she had been so certain in the past that Yelu Yan was an honorable gentleman indifferent to sensual pleasures.

Only now did she have a sudden revelation—she had been completely deceived by his serious demeanor.

He was no gentleman, but rather a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Yelu Yan watched Li Xianyun in the mirror, his hands cupping her as if he were a chef in the pantry, vigorously kneading dough.

Li Xianyun bit her lip and dared not look at herself in the mirror, sure that she looked anything but a respectable lady.

Even so, Yelu Yan continued to indulge himself, kissing her shoulders and neck, and with a voice full of seduction, said, "A kiss, hmm?"

Li Xianyun was initially reluctant, but with continued pinching and tugging, she could only turn her head towards him.

The moment she turned her head, Yelu Yan immediately captured her lips, rolling and turning.

Li Xianyun let out a soft "mmph," shut her eyes tightly, was forced to open her mouth wide, and whimpers spilled out from her throat.

After a while, Yelu Yan held her sideways tightly in his arms, buried his head, lifted, and fed into his mouth.

Li Xianyun had no choice but to wrap her arms around his head, pressing tightly against him.

Just as the two were indulging in their folly, Youlan’s voice came from outside the door, "Reporting to Khan, reporting to the princess, the Imperial Noble Consort sends word that she is feeling unwell and would like the princess to come over for acupuncture."

Hearing this, Li Xianyun was overwhelmed with embarrassment and quickly turned to embrace Yelu Yan, burying her burning face in the nape of his neck.

Yelu Yan, with a thick smile, whispered in her ear, "It’s all right, we’ve locked the door."

With that, he bent down to straighten Li Xianyun’s clothes.

As soon as Li Xianyun heard about Yaduo’s discomfort, she no longer cared about embarrassment, sat up straight, and began to adjust her clothes along with him.

Yelu Yan, watching her fluster, said with a laugh, "No rush, go after we finish eating."

"Grandmother is unwell, we should go earlier," Li Xianyun said as she continued her task.

When she had finished adjusting her clothes, Li Xianyun struggled off Yelu Yan’s lap, pushed him aside, and sat down alone in front of the dressing table to comb her hair.

"My lord, you should attend to your duties," she said.

Yelu Yan leaned in to wrap his arms around her slender waist and gave a gentle pin, "Why do you always want to send me away?"

As Li Xianyun looked at his moist lips and thought about how he had rested on her chest earlier, her face unwittingly turned red.

"I’m not rushing you, I don’t want to delay you from taking care of official business."

"Don’t worry, your husband has a plan."

Li Xianyun, having heard this, said no more. She finished combing her hair and rose to choose clothing from the wardrobe.

Having worn men’s attire all this time, she no longer needed to do so while moving about the palace.

Li Xianyun picked out a set of understated and loose-fitting women’s clothes and carried them behind the screen to dress. Just as she set down her clothes, she noticed that Yelu Yan had followed her inside.

Seeing Li Xianyun give him a look, Yelu Yan felt somewhat embarrassed.

In that moment, his demeanor was strikingly similar to a flirtatious man who couldn’t stay away from women.

Yelu Yan touched his nose and smiled, "Your husband will help you dress."

Li Xianyun’s face flushed. He had the nerve to say that—as if he didn’t take advantage every time he dressed her?

Li Xianyun walked up and, with a coy admonishment, pushed against his sturdy back, "Hey, move along, don’t make trouble."

She was feigning anger adorably.

Reluctantly, Yelu Yan made his way to the Warm Pavilion.

Dressed, Li Xianyun couldn’t help but sigh in relief; wearing women’s clothing was indeed more comfortable.

Coming out from behind the screen, she saw Yelu Yan sitting in a Taishi Chair of the Warm Pavilion, reading a book.

He was already dressed, the very picture of seriousness and restraint, showing none of the foolishness he’d displayed in front of the bronze mirror earlier.

Li Xianyun approached the mirror, skillfully painting her delicate eyebrows and lightly touching up her lips with rouge.

She loved beauty. Dressing as a man, she could not indulge in such vanities, but now she finally could.

After making herself presentable, Li Xianyun turned to leave only to be pulled into a broad embrace.

Li Xianyun looked up at the handsome and tall man close to her and smiled, "How come you make no sound when you walk?"

Yelu Yan, his mouth curling up in a smile while gazing at her charmingly attractive face, said, "They say a woman dresses for the man who pleases her—how come I’ve never seen you dress up for me?"

"Didn’t you say we’re an old married couple and shouldn’t fuss over such things?"

The same words, returned to him.

Yelu Yan laughed heartily, lifting Li Xianyun off her feet.

"What are you doing?" Li Xianyun kicked her little feet in protest.

Yelu Yan lowered his head and nibbled heavily on her soft lips. "After the meal, your husband will accompany you."

It seemed he was determined to stick by her side today.

"But what about Grandmother..."

"Your husband will talk to Grandmother. You should focus on eating well," he said.

Yelu Yan accompanied Li Xianyun for the meal and then to visit Cirui Hall.

Throughout, Li Xianyun tried several times to send him away, but Yelu Yan was clinging, impossible to dismiss.

In the end, she simply went along with him.

As the two arrived, hand in hand, Yaduo was pruning the branches of a flowering shrub.

Through the window, Yaduo saw from afar the two walking in together, hand in hand.

One tall and handsome, the other sweet and delicate; they were truly a match made in heaven, a sight so pleasing to the eyes.

She wondered just how attractive their children would be.

But Yaduo quickly banished the thought.

Yelu Yan was deeply fond of Li Xianyun. The last time she had carelessly mentioned children in front of Li Xianyun,

Yelu Yan became as anxious as could be, hastily interrupting, for fear she would say something amiss and cause Li Xianyun discomfort.

He treasured his own woman as much as anything.

It reminded Yaduo of her infatuated son—Yelu Zhang.

Yelu Yan bore such a striking resemblance to his father, Khan, and both were hopeless romantics at heart.

However, her son Zhang had spent a lifetime loving without reciprocation.

Whereas Yelu Yan was obviously far luckier than Khan, not only had he met the woman he adored, but she also did not reject him.
