Chapter 1359: 659 Daddy’s Majestic! (Two Updates)_3 Chapter 1359: 659 Daddy’s Majestic! (Two Updates)_3 Songshan Academy and Zishu Academy were both disqualified from the upcoming competitions for violating the rules.

Most of the injured were from the Lingbo Academy; in addition, there were also a few academy disciples who were hurt in the fights and the process of rescuing others.

The three deans expressed their gratitude to Gu Jiao and Miao Ruoxin, especially Gu Jiao, whose performance was truly stunning.

Miao Ruoxin felt her limelight was stolen. “Just a quack doctor tricking and deceiving others. When the patients’ conditions worsen after a few days, these people will understand who is the true descendent of a divine healer,” she thought.

She said, “Deans, you are too kind. It’s all part of my duty, not worth mentioning.”

Gu Jiao handed three lists to the three deans: “Consultation fees, pay up now, no credit.”

The three deans: “…”

The Lingbo Academy’s dean coughed lightly and took the longest list: “Of course, of course!”

Miao Ruoxin mocked, “Ah, Young Master Xiao, a healer should be benevolent, and it’s just treating a few patients after all. Do you really have the heart to charge a consultation fee? Isn’t that a bit petty?”

Gu Jiao handed the remaining two lists to her: “You’re so generous, why don’t you pay?”

Miao Ruoxin was at a loss for words.

Gu Jiao only took the fees that she was meant to collect. Whether Miao Ruoxin and that doctor wanted to settle the consultation fees with someone else was their business.

The fact that Xiao Hen was on the scene didn’t arouse suspicion because Su Xue also arrived later.

But the scene was too chaotic, and Su Xue was left outside. She only realized after seeing Gu Jiao and Xiao Hen leaving one after the other that they had been in the same room just earlier.

Considering everyone was there to treat the injured, she didn’t harbor any suspicions.

The attic was filled with people inside and out, and Gu Jiao and Xiao Hen maintained the appearance of strangers from beginning to end, without even exchanging a glance.

The deans also expressed their gratitude to Xiao Hen, Su Xue, and Mu Qingchen, among others.

Mu Qingchen said to Gu Jiao, “Let’s go.” And to Su Xue, “You should head back too.”

Su Xue pouted: “Oh.”

Gu Jiao hesitated, then suddenly turned around, giving Xiao Hen a bow with hands clasped: “Thank you for just now.”

Xiao Hen also bowed slightly in response to Gu Jiao.

Yuan Xiao muttered while stroking his chin: “The two of you thanking each other, why does it feel like a wedding ceremony?”

Mu Qingchen and Su Xue both glared at him at the same time.

Yuan Xiao turned and rubbed the back of his head: “Oh well, let’s go, let’s go!”

After bidding farewell to each other, Xiao Hen went to the stands to pick up little Jing Kong, while Gu Jiao and her group headed to the stables.

When Gu Jiao walked to the innermost stable intending to lead out the Horse King, she noticed a person standing outside the stall, a man around thirty years old, not very tall but with a solid build and rugged features.

The man had initially been observing the Horse King inside the stall but immediately revealed a gentle smile when he saw Gu Jiao.

“Young Master Xiao.” He turned and greeted her.

“Who are you?” Gu Jiao asked.

He courteously replied, “My surname is Chu. Young Master Xiao, you may call me Chu Nan.”

“What do you want?” asked Gu Jiao again.

He turned his head, looked at the Horse King in the stall with a smile, then said to Gu Jiao, “I like that horse very much.”

“Not for sale,” said Gu Jiao.

He couldn’t help but laugh: “That’s not what I meant, don’t get me wrong, Young Master Xiao.”

Gu Jiao opened the gate of the railing, went in, and led out the Horse King.

The Horse King was as gentle with Gu Jiao as he was fierce when passing by Chu Nan.

Chu Nan took a step back, still smiling: “Your horse is quite interesting. May I take a look at it? I want to see how old it is.”

Gu Jiao had intended to refuse, but upon hearing the last remark, she paused: “You can determine a horse’s age?”

Chu Nan smiled: “So you really don’t know how old it is?”

Gu Jiao gave him a questioning look: “What do you mean?”

Chu Nan glanced at the Horse King, “If you knew its age, you wouldn’t ride it so soon. I couldn’t see clearly during the ballgame, but my guess is it’s not yet three years old.”

“I am a horse trainer,” he added.

Gu Jiao said to him, “Then have a look.”

“Honored to do so.” Chu Nan approached the Horse King.

Maybe because Gu Jiao had permitted it, this time the Horse King did not lash out at Chu Nan.

Chu Nan coaxed the Horse King to open its mouth, probably worried that Gu Jiao or her family might imitate him, he cautioned: “This is very dangerous behavior, ordinary people should not do this.”

“Just do your thing,” said Gu Jiao.

After Chu Nan finished examining the Horse King’s teeth, he exclaimed in awe, “It’s even younger than I thought, only two and a half years old.”

Gu Jiao was taken aback, such strength for one so young?

Chu Nan admired the horse: “It must be the Horse King, right? Though, it’s quite rare to have a Horse King at two and a half. And, it doesn’t look like an ordinary Horse King.”
