The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife
Chapter 500 – THE END

Chapter 500: Chapter 500 – THE END

Giselle felt guilty seeing the desperation on his face and in his voice, so she began to confess.

"I didn’t want you to know because I didn’t want you to feel as though you owed us anything. Mom said that your father gave my dad a big position after he had stayed home for a long time after losing his job."

"My dad was always happy because of that favor. My family was perfect. My brother and I lacked nothing when growing up. We had loving parents and everything we needed, so how could we watch you die when both my brother and I were perfect matches?" She asked profoundly. Robert stared at her like he was seeing a ghost.

"It was you?" How could he have had the woman he had been searching for right under his nose and not know it?

Giselle felt remorse that they all hid it from him. Maybe she should have just told him the truth from the onset.

"Yes. I didn’t know that it would weigh so heavily on your heart to know. I’m so sorry for keeping it from you."

Robert was in tears, his shoulders shook as he heaved, "Giselle, what have you done? We should have been married a long time ago."

Her cheeks pinked, feeling flustered. "Maybe you shouldn’t have hidden your feelings."

"You were hiding yours too, but I’m glad for that drunken night," Robert smiled through tears, his hands snaking around her slender waist.

Giselle’s heart thumped as he leaned in, she smiled shyly, saying, "Me too."

Robert’s face was so close to hers when he asked her, "So, now that we don’t have any differences, will you marry me?"

Giselle was excited, having a childish grin. "Yes, Robert, I can’t wait to be your wife." Robert finally slipped the ring onto her finger.

Their eyes closed and their lips about to meet when Robert’s phone began to ring. Pulling away in annoyance, Giselle asked, "Is it lunch time already?" She recalled Robert saying that he had kept business away until noon.

"Yes," Robert replied, his unwavering gaze on hers.

"I should have taken the whole day off if I knew this would happen." For the first time in his life, he wasn’t in the mood for work but rather to spend time with his pregnant woman.

"I guess it’s time for work," Giselle giggled, rising to her feet.

Robert stared at her strangely, she gulped hard as he placed a seductive demand. "Yes, but you have to promise me something."

"What?" Giselle asked eagerly.

Robert ignored his ringing phone and said to her, "You are spending the night with me, and you shouldn’t tell your mom about this. Let’s see their surprised looks."

Giselle smiled affectionately as she imagined how her mother was going to feel if she indeed heard the news. "I’m in."

The afternoon was loaded, and they had forgotten about lunch until it arrived, but there was no time to eat because Robert had moved all his schedules to the afternoon since the next day was a weekend.

Though exhausted after the close from work, Robert was already standing beside Giselle’s desk. "It’s time to go home."

Giselle’s phone rang, and seeing her mom’s name on the caller ID, she waved it at Robert.

"Can I answer it?" Robert asked, and she didn’t hesitate, giving the phone to him.

"Aunt Aria, Giselle is spending the night at my house. We shall see you tomorrow afternoon," Robert said directly. Aria was confused at the end of the line.

"Is there a problem? Why isn’t she coming home?"

"We shall inform you when we get to your house tomorrow, but don’t worry. Your daughter is in safe hands," Robert smiled at Giselle before replying on the phone.

Aria was still disturbed as she asked, "Can I speak to her?"

Robert replied with a simple, "no."

"Robert, it’s not as if I don’t trust you, but how do I know that she’s fine?" Aria asked. Jacob activated the speaker button and said to Giselle,

"Your mom is afraid that I’ve kidnapped you."

Giselle giggled. "Mom, I’m fine."

Aria sighed from the end of the line. "That is much better."

Reaching Robert’s penthouse, Giselle was surprised that a candlelit dinner was waiting for them. There were a few of the staff from Mark’s restaurant in attendance.

"When did you arrange this?" Giselle asked.

"You don’t have to worry about how and why I do the things I do. Just sit and eat," Robert said softly, pulling a chair for her.

The lights were dimmed, and the romantic ambiance was making her feel strangely excited. "How did you know that I would want soup tonight?"

"I make it my responsibility to know everything about you. I love you, Giselle."

"I love you too," Giselle replied shyly.

Being hungry from not having had lunch, the rest of the meal was in silence. As soon as they were done, the staff from Mark’s restaurant cleared the table while the two went upstairs.

Giselle was nervous as this was the first time she entered Robert’s bedroom. "It’s huge."

Robert’s arms were already wrapped around her waist from the back, his face buried in the crook of her neck as he sucked gently.

Giselle moaned, her sexual instincts heightening. "Can we shower first?" She asked. Robert turned her to face him, and their lips collided.

They both couldn’t remember the first time, so this was a first time for them. Their tongues danced together, their clothes scattered on the floor, as Robert took her for the first time he could remember.

By the time he dropped exhausted, he spoke in a still aroused tone, as he gawked at her naked body beside him.

"I’m sorry I couldn’t wait until after the shower."

Giselle was still shivering in his arms. "It’s okay, I loved it."

"Then I guess we can shower now."

Robert carried her bridal style to the bathroom. There, they took turns bathing each other, making love all night.

It was mid-morning before they woke up wrapped in each other’s arms. Giselle was in the shower when the doorbell rang. Robert went to get it, and by the time Giselle came out of the shower, there were different clothes waiting for her.

"I forgot I didn’t have clothes here. Thanks for being thoughtful."

"You should stop thanking me. Let’s have breakfast and go visit my parents first."

Breakfast was like a feast, and after, they went to Robin and Sabrina’s villa. Sabrina and Robin were surprised to see them both together, especially when they caught a few hickeys on Giselle’s neck.

"Are you two together?" Robin asked, and Robert replied,

"We are getting married."

Sabrina’s arms wrapped tightly around Giselle as she sobbed. "I couldn’t have gotten a better daughter-in-law." She was so excited and couldn’t contain it.

Robin had tears in his eyes too as Giselle revealed, "I told him the truth after he confessed to being in love with me."

"We have so many weddings to plan now. Where do you want to have yours?"

"The beach," both Robert and Giselle said at the same time. Sabrina and Robin were shocked. Even Robert and Giselle stared at each other from shock.

Robert had wanted something different from his cousins, unknown to him that Giselle always dreamed of a beach wedding.

"Something new. A beach wedding it will be," Sabrina giggled like a little girl as Robert said to them,

"We have to meet Giselle’s parents."

Reaching there, Aria was happy that Giselle was so happy. She never called Sabrina last night, and the latter never also called, so the news was like a morning dew.

"Mom, dad, Robert and I are getting married. He is the man I slept with on that drunken night," Giselle revealed.

"Oh my God," Aria had tears in her eyes, and her husband was equally excited too.

"When is the wedding?"

"A week after Larry and Lambert’s wedding," Robert said. Aria suggested,

"Why don’t you all get married on the same day?"

"They want a garden wedding, but we are getting married at the beach."

"Hey, mom and dad, Ariana and I are getting married too," Gershon said behind them. Giselle went to hug her brother.

"When did you decide on that?" Giselle asked. Gershon replied, "Since my sister is getting married, nothing stops me anymore. I was waiting for you."

Weeks later, it was from one wedding to the other. From The Queen’s Garden to the beach. Giselle and her brother got married on the same day at a private beach.

Robert could never take his eyes and hands off her throughout the occasion and the honeymoons followed.

A few months later, Mark and Aliya got married at the beach, motivated by Robert and Giselle’s choice. Jasmine and Rex got married at the beach as well, as it became the new trend.

As expected, Rex worked with JC Minerals as the deputy CEO. The parents were happy, and so were the kids. They were now eagerly waiting for their grandchildren, but before then, Robin took Sabrina to The Queen’s Garden.

No matter how many times Sabrina went there, she was never bored. However, there was a surprise waiting for her.

Robin had a small house built, covered with flowers and wasn’t seen throughout the weddings. He got the concept from the underground bunker where they got hold of Mara and Martin.

"I want to stay here forever," Sabrina said when she entered the small house. There was just one bedroom, and the walls were all covered with different kinds of colorful flowers.

Robin looked on in admiration, as the middle-aged woman he has loved for decades, kept jumping around like a kid.

Suddenly, he was engulfed in a tight hug as Sabrina said through tears, "Sometimes, the most difficult thing is to give a second chance. But if your love is real, everyone has the right to make a mistake."

"Are you applauding me for treating you badly in the past?" Robin asked teasingly. It didn’t hurt anymore as he had made it up to her over the years.

"Yes. Your mistakes made you a better person. I love you, my king."

"I love you, my queen, and always will," Robin kissed her on the lips. Pulling away, he asked with a wink, "So what do you say? Is this a good honeymoon destination?"

Sabrina’s cheeks crimsoned, knowing what he was driving at. They were soon to become grandparents, and yet, Robin made her feel like a teenager.

"What are we waiting for?" She asked and began to undress herself as Robin carried her to the bedroom, decorated with her favorite flowers.

Months down the line, twins and triplets were flooding in once again, and they got busy taking care of their grandchildren. Estelle and Robert’s quadruplets, Savannah’s triplets, Larry’s twins, Lambert’s twins, Joy’s twins, Mark’s twins, young Sabrina’s triplets, young Robert’s quadruplets, Gershon’s son. He latter had two daughters.

Jasmine’s triplets, Jude’s twins, and Jessica’s twins. The families bound by blood and friendship had the cries and laughter of babies in each house.

Merry making was a constant tradition for the years to come.

THE END.
