Chapter 375: Chapter 264: Creation and Blessing

If the person before them was truly a god, then everything that had just happened could be explained.

After all, no one could, in an instant, condense cosmic energy to such a degree, then easily twist the wormhole to open the Cross Border Gate, and what was even more unfathomable was that this was only the first time the Cross Border Gate was opened, and it connected precisely to the world behind Sky Tipping World.

What did this imply?

It implied that this person’s control over cosmic energy had reached an unimaginable level, even stronger than the control exerted by a sophisticated Cross Border machine. If one were to open a Cross Border Gate solely with immense cosmic energy, it would most likely connect to other worlds, and the chances of returning to Sky Tipping World were slim.

"So, after Yang Jian stole our memories, understood the principles of Cross Border, and witnessed the way to activate the Cross Border Gate, he mastered the method of Cross Border in this brief period?"

Zhu Xiong fell silent, his will to resist now completely drained away.

What could he, an Evolver at the Soul Realm, possibly do against such an existence? He could do nothing but stand there and watch everything unfold, waiting quietly for the other to decide his fate.

"Is that world across from us Li Yi’s world?" At this moment, Yang Jian had one eye fixed on that world, then frowned, "It seems the worlds needing salvation are not just this one; his world is in a similar plight. But he has his own tasks to fulfill, and I have my own mission to carry out."

"Since that is the case, I will let you go in my stead to explore that world and seek a new opportunity."

As his words fell, golden ripples spread beneath his feet on the surface of the water, and a figure, identical in stature and appearance to Yang Jian, slowly emerged from beneath the water. However, this person showed no signs of life, resembling a Walking Corpse, giving off a deathly aura.

"Is that a body? What does he want to do with it?" Zhu Xiong was puzzled at this moment.

"Awaken," commanded Yang Jian, his voice resonant and powerful.

The next moment.

The person who looked exactly like him suddenly opened his eyes, his silent heart began to beat, his solidified blood began to flow, and a vitality belonging to a living being was sparked to life.

From nothing to existence, from death to life.

All these changes happened in an incredibly short span of time.

"Don’t tell me, is he creating life?"

The others, sensing the vibrant breath of life, were stunned once more. Such an act was not within human capabilities; only a god possessed such power.

"He is creating a clone for himself. Of course, I wouldn’t doubt his ability to create other people," commented Zhu Xiong, his throat feeling dry as he witnessed an almost mythic feat.

Creating life.

That was an ability reserved for God, and yet, he had witnessed such a sight.

"This body is too weak; it inherited only memories and possesses no power. It cannot survive in the Sky Tipping World, a mere slip could lead to being devoured by an Extraordinary Creature. Even though it can engage in Cultivation, it would need time to grow. You wouldn’t want a lifetime of reputation ruined in an instant, would you?" said the newly appeared person, his tone hinting at a complaint.

"It is precisely because it’s malleable that it can grow, adapt to everything in another world. The powers of this world offer no benefit if taken along. It will only bring misfortune," Yang Jian explained. "But you do have a point; it would be troublesome if you were to die carelessly, so I’ll give you a little privilege."

After pondering for a moment.

Yang Jian spoke again, this time his voice overlapped and resounded between heaven and earth, as if countless voices were influencing everything simultaneously.

"I decree, the person before me, unbreakable in body, unchangeable in form, unwavering in will, strength... to the ultimate limit."

As his words fell, a mysterious and unknown force enveloped the person before him, and everything seemed changed, yet upon closer inspection, it was as if nothing had changed at all.

"Not bad, that makes you a bit respectable," remarked the person as he raised his fist and threw a punch. The air exploded with a crisp sound, which was exactly like Li Yi’s Fist Power.

"You should have said, strength can be infinite, rather than ultimate—that would make things even more interesting, wouldn’t it?"

"Go on then, it’s time to set off," Yang Jian said indifferently.

"Alright then, you’re the boss, what you say goes," the person replied and started walking towards the Cross Border Gate. As he was about to cross over, he suddenly turned back and asked, "What name should I use in that world? How about Yang Wei? It’s a name with significance. What do you think?"

Yang Jian, however, no longer spoke but swept a golden light over the person before him. The light enveloped the figure and passed through the Cross Border Gate, heading straight into the Sky Tipping World. In the Sky Tipping World, the gleaming golden light did not diminish. It tore through the clouds, streaked across the sky, and finally landed in one of its cities.

When the golden light vanished, the person was gone as well.

At this point, Zhu Xiong and the others could see clearly.

The person named Yang Jian had sent something akin to a clone of himself into their world. As for the purpose, Zhu Xiong did not know, but he understood that with such a godly being setting its sights on the Sky Tipping World, there was no use in doing anything, for they had no means to resist.

At the same time, his determination to leave via Cross Border became even stronger.

For if a god had taken an interest in the Sky Tipping World today, who was to say that other gods might not do the same in the future?

Perhaps this kind of event had already occurred, and the people of their world were simply in the dark.

Upon this realization, Zhu Xiong couldn’t help but offer a bitter smile.

How sorrowful was the state of his world.

"Come on, follow me back, and from now on, sweep the floor properly," Yang Jian said after completing all these tasks. A door appeared before him again, not a Cross Border Gate this time, as it was red and seemed to link to another place.

It led to a small island surrounded by azure waves. Stone bridges spanned across the island, connecting all directions. In front of the island, an old archway stood, with two characters inscribed on it: Guanjiang.

"Guanjiang..."

Seeing these two characters, everyone was momentarily lost in thought.

Because these two characters inexplicably bring to mind the legendary dwelling place of Yang Jian.

Soon after, the crowd found the binding force had disappeared, and they could move again.

But now they had not the slightest intention of resistance, merely hesitating briefly before they steeled themselves to follow behind, obediently trailing the person, no, the deity in front of them.

Their thoughts were simple at the moment, at least they were still alive, not killed.

Very quickly.

After crossing that door, they found themselves on a stone bridge.

The cool river breeze faced them, the open surroundings were refreshing to the spirit, but in the distance, the city’s high-rises stood tall, amidst vibrant lights and bustling luxury, this contrast of mythology and urban prosperity felt so unreal, they all dared not believe whether all of their experiences were real, or just a fantastical daydream before death.

"Wang Shan, these people have good stamina, they’re new janitors, responsible for cleaning, you take care of the arrangements," Yang Jian, walking ahead, gave the instruction before disappearing from sight.

Very quickly.

A young man named Wang Shan came forward with a smile on his face: "Hello everyone, I’m Wang Shan, the security guard here. You all heard what was just said. Starting today, you’ll be following my orders. Don’t be resentful— that person is notoriously petty. If you don’t do this job well, believe me, you’ll regret it."

Zhu Xiong and several other masters from the Spiritual Realm fell silent for a moment.

They weren’t fools, of course understanding this was their only chance to live. If they didn’t comply, their fate would be dire, as even the most patient deity has limited tolerance.

"Don’t worry, we will do our job well," Zhu Xiong inhaled deeply, speaking earnestly.

He never imagined that he, a powerful warrior from the Soul Realm, would one day be reduced to sweeping floors, and with a lifespan of at least three hundred years, was he to sweep here for centuries?

That was too despairing.

But when in Rome, do as the Romans do, it was certainly better than death.

He could only comfort himself in this way.

"That’s good to hear. Those who can come here are wise people who know the times. Those who don’t are long gone. Come with me, I’ll arrange a place for you to stay. There are many taboos here, it’s best to be careful," Wang Shan nodded in satisfaction, then led them towards a direction on the island.

"Um, Brother Wang Shan, I wanted to ask, wasn’t there a dog in the myth about Yang Jian? Is that legend true or false?" Suddenly, an Evolver from the Spiritual Realm whispered curiously.

"It’s true," Wang Shan replied.

"Where is that dog? We haven’t seen it before," the Evolver from the Spiritual Realm continued to ask.

Wang Shan said, "You wouldn’t want to meet that big black dog; it’s easy to give you nightmares. But since you’re so curious, I might as well satisfy your curiosity. Consider it a newbie benefit. Why else would I be known for my benevolence if not for being Wang Shan?"

With that, he changed direction, leading the group to the nearby riverbank, then pointed at the water: "The dog, it’s right here."

Zhu Xiong, also very curious, leaned over with the others to look into the water.

At first, they saw nothing out of the ordinary; the river was clear, everything as usual.

But as their attention wavered.

The next moment.

A huge dark shadow suddenly surfaced in the water, then leapt up through it, a gigantic black beast of a dog with red eyes and bared teeth stepped onto the water’s surface, striding towards them.

This scene startled them in an instant.

Then, they shuddered back to awareness.

When they came to, however, they found themselves standing where they were before, nowhere near the water’s edge, and there was no evil hound around.

As if everything had been just a dream.

"Did you see that dog?" Wang Shan asked with a smile.

"We saw it..."

Zhu Xiong touched the cold sweat on his forehead, glanced at the river not far away, and then at the others beside him, feeling an inexplicable sense of dread.

What had just happened?

Was it really just a nightmare?

But why did it feel so real, as though he had truly been at the riverbank, witnessing the evil dog in the water?

Incomprehensible.

Reality and dreams, he couldn’t even distinguish them now.

But at that moment, they fully believed that they had really encountered the legendary Yang Jian.

Should they kowtow and bow the next time they see him?

Is there a particular etiquette for kowtowing?

How many kowtows would make him more satisfied?
