Chapter 138: Chapter 118 Seeking Justice

The Yin Horse neighed, its cry mingling with the distant thunder in the black of night, echoing in front of the dilapidated old temple.

All present were on high alert, staring intently at the mysterious man who had suddenly arrived on the Yin Horse, especially Han Sui and Jin Bufen at the forefront, whose hearts inexplicably began to race, a growing sense of unease emerging because the glowing eyes in the darkness inspired dread.

Riding the Yin Horse, eyes emanating Divine Light, plus four thunderclaps from out of nowhere that killed four of their Bone Training experts from several miles away.

Such a demeanor was difficult not to be wary of.

"Who might you be, and why have you attacked us? We have no grudges against you, if this is but a misunderstanding, I would prefer to resolve this peacefully," Jin Bufen, leaning on his Treasure Saber, stood upright in the old temple, very cautiously said.

"Have I made it in time?"

Li Yi on the Yin Horse, eyes slightly shifting, swiftly took in the scene, seeing his seriously wounded master in the temple, his senior sister Rong Niang and junior brother Shou Hou as mentioned by Zhao Qian.

Both of their conditions were poor, one captured, the other injured.

If he had arrived a moment later, all three would undoubtedly have died; fortunately, the Yin Horse was swift, indeed arriving before everyone was killed, providing timely support. The previous gunshots were as much to kill the enemy as they were to warn, all to delay these people from harming his master.

Without those four gunshots, Zhao Ge would have already perished.

Li Yi dismounted at this moment, his inspiration activated, but his body did not raise any alarm.

This meant that none of these adversaries posed a threat to his life; if there had been an insurmountable expert present, the inspiration would alert him, and Li Yi would instantly assess the gap in strength between them.

Li Yi said nothing, calmly dismounting and striding towards the temple.

Hmm?

The faces of Han Sui and Jin Bufen twitched slightly, puzzled by the mysterious man’s behavior.

Was he about to make a move?

Jin Bufen’s sabre-wielding hand twitched reflexively, facing Li Yi who was walking towards him; he subconsciously wanted to draw his weapon... At this distance, he was confident he could decapitate the man before him with one stroke.

However, a bolt of lightning streaked across the sky, and under its illumination, Jin Bufen subconsciously stepped back several paces, his hand on the blade freezing in place.

"A Five-clawed Black Dragon Robe? What is this man’s identity?"

He saw the mysterious man before him dressed in a remarkably lavish robe, seemingly stitched from the hide of a terrifying beast, embroidered with the pattern of a Five-clawed Black Dragon that seemed almost lifelike, and above which luminous light flowed, extraordinarily magical.

To wear a robe embroidered with Five-clawed Black Dragon was considered a crime of great offense, where ordinary people could not even secretly own such attire, let alone wear it in public, under penalty of beheading. Only the most prestigious nobility and millennial ghosts had the right to wear dragon robes, to embroider dragon patterns.

Li Yi paid no heed to his thoughts, his face calm as he approached Zhao Ge.

If they dared to attack, his inspiration would alert him and Li Yi was confident he could instantly dispatch them.

There was no room for error.

"You, it’s you..."

Zhao Ge’s eyes widened at that moment, wondering if he was close to death, if all this was but a fantasy conjured in his dying moments.

But the pain in his body told him that this was no dream.

His deeply missed disciple, Li Yi, had indeed arrived on the Yin Horse to save him at this moment.

"Meng De, is it really you?" Zhao Ge’s lips trembled with both excitement and shock.

"It is I."

Li Yi nodded, then took out a bottle of Extraordinary Water from his clothing and handed it to Shou Hou: "Give this to Master, it can heal wounds."

Shou Hou was stunned; he gazed at the impressive and tall man before him, lost for a moment. Only when the Extraordinary Water was in his hands did he instinctively reply, "Okay... okay."

He looked down.

The bottle in his hand, made of crystal clear glass, shined brightly, and the medicine within sparkled like a starry sky, visibly extraordinary.

Shou Hou dared not be negligent, hastily and carefully opened the bottle and fed it to his master beside him.

Zhao Ge didn’t doubt it and drank down the Extraordinary Water.

Once the medicine hit his stomach, Zhao Ge’s complexion instantly changed.

His internal injuries... were healing, his Qi-Blood was recovering.

A surge of power also started to emerge from within his body at an unbelievable rate, as if an influx of Heart Blood had been poured into him, and he was about to return to his Peak condition.

In reality, Extraordinary Water was a side-effect free adrenaline that could only temporarily restore one’s condition and was not truly capable of bringing someone to their Peak.

"This medicine, it’s inconceivable."

While Zhao Ge was internally astonished, he remained outwardly calm, waiting for the medicine to take effect, not wanting to alarm Han Sui and Jin Bufen, lest they realize something was amiss.

"Is he the Senior Brother mentioned by Master?" Shou Hou watched Li Yi, barely able to believe it.

The Senior Brother who only existed in their Master’s stories, whom he thought was a figment of the Master’s imagination, was real.

However, with a single term of ’Master’ from Li Yi, everyone’s hearts were raised.

"Indeed a person from Zhao’s Martial Arts Hall."

Jin Bufen growled at that moment, with the identity now clear, he knew that today he would have to settle matters with this mysterious man named Li Yi, to decide life and death. Without disposing of this reinforcement, there was no chance of leaving alive.

The ability to kill from several miles away had sealed their escape route.

"Who would have thought that Zhao’s Martial Arts Hall was harboring such a person, without pushing you to this extent today, the owners of all the martial halls in Sanyang City would still be in the dark."
