919: Chapter 918 Swap 919: Chapter 918 Swap “Brother, don’t talk like that.
She’s my idol!” Little Nurse pouted.
Wang Dadong curled his lips in disdain.
So what if she’s an idol?
She’s still his girlfriend.
But of course, he wouldn’t dare say that to Little Nurse.
“Ugh, there are too many people.
Looks like it’s impossible to get Monroe’s autograph…” Little Nurse said, disappointment evident in her voice.
Seeing her dejected look, Wang Dadong playfully pinched her cute little nose, saying, “Sis, you really want Monroe’s autograph?”
“Of course I do!
But there are way too many people, we can’t get through.”
Wang Dadong chuckled.
“Don’t worry, as long as you want it, I promise I can get her autograph for you.”
With that, Wang Dadong whistled toward the stage.
The sound of the whistle instantly caught Monroe’s attention.
When she spotted Wang Dadong in the crowd, her beautiful eyes lit up.
She subtly exchanged a look with him.
Understanding the signal, Wang Dadong turned to Little Nurse and said, “Wait for me here.” Then, he disappeared into the crowd.
Meanwhile, Monroe excused herself, saying she needed to step away for a moment.
Soon, Wang Dadong ended up backstage and met Monroe.
“Xiao Dongzi, we meet again,” Monroe greeted him with a breathtaking smile.
“Monroe, aren’t you promoting your new movie?
Why did you sneak backstage?
Hurry up and get back out there; your fans are waiting for you,” Monroe’s manager urged.
“Busy as ever, huh?” Wang Dadong snarked.
“No matter how busy I am, I still made time to see you, didn’t I?”
“Beauty Meng, you’re a celebrity, after all.
Do you really have to act like you want to eat me alive every time you see me?
Is being handsome my only purpose in life?” Wang Dadong complained, sounding exasperated.
Monroe giggled and said, “You’re absolutely right.
For me, that’s your sole purpose.”
Wang Dadong felt utterly defeated.
“I’ve gone to all the trouble of coming backstage, and you won’t even let me cheer you up a little?” Monroe teased, seeing his sulky expression.
“Come on, I’m here to ask for a favor.
It’ll only take a moment.” Wang Dadong said seriously.
“What favor?” Monroe asked, turning back to him.
“Well, my girlfriend wants your autograph.
Could you sign one for me?”
Monroe frowned slightly upon hearing “girlfriend.” “Girlfriend?”
“What, you can kiss other male actors for your drama, but I’m not allowed to date?
How’s that fair?” Wang Dadong said sourly.
Monroe picked up on his jealousy but gave no further explanation.
“Getting my autograph is no problem.
But where I sign is up to me.”
Wang Dadong figured it didn’t matter where she signed, as long as he got it.
But he underestimated Monroe’s audacity.
She ended up signing her name on his chest.
“I’ll head out now.
Hope your girlfriend will love it,” Monroe said as she walked out in her high heels.
“Wait, is this pen going to hold up?
What if it smudges before I even get home?” Wang Dadong asked, clearly annoyed.
“Relax, it’s a special pen.
The ink lasts a month without fading,” Monroe teased as she left.
“Damn, it’s really going to last a whole month?” Wang Dadong rubbed at the signature but found it didn’t smear at all, making him want to cry.
Just as Wang Dadong was sulking, Monroe returned.
“Wow, busy bee, done working so soon?”
“I’ve got to sing a song for the fans.
I came in to change,” Monroe said with a playful look.
“What’s wrong, Xiao Dongzi?
Want to help me change clothes?”
“Definitely not, but I do have another favor to ask.” Wang Dadong stroked his chin.
“Another autograph?” Monroe glanced at him sideways.
“Not that… it’s…” Wang Dadong leaned in to whisper a few words to her.
Wang Dadong then returned to the crowd.
“Brother, I saw Monroe backstage just now.
Did you get her autograph?” Little Nurse asked excitedly.
Wang Dadong scratched his nose, embarrassed.
“I didn’t get Monroe’s autograph, but I got something even better.”
With that, Wang Dadong grabbed Little Nurse’s hand and headed toward the backstage area.
By then, Monroe had already begun singing, performing the opening theme song of her upcoming movie, “Full-time Bodyguard.”
Her voice was truly stunning, leaving the fans completely mesmerized.
If it weren’t for the countless security guards holding them back, they might have rushed the stage and torn Monroe to pieces.
Wang Dadong and Little Nurse tried pushing through the crowd, but they were stopped by security.
Last time, Wang Dadong had managed to slip past unnoticed.
Bringing Little Nurse with him, though, was far more challenging.
But with a few quick flicks of his fingers toward the Void, the security guards froze in place.
Once backstage, Wang Dadong pulled out a microphone seemingly out of thin air and handed it to Little Nurse.
“Brother, why are you giving me a microphone?”
“To sing.”
Wang Dadong explained his idea to Little Nurse.
Having heard her sing before, he knew she had an amazing voice—one that, in his opinion, was almost on par with Monroe’s.
“But will Monroe agree?” Little Nurse asked, feeling incredulous about the daring plan Wang Dadong had come up with.
“Of course she will.” Monroe’s voice cut in.
At some point, she had returned backstage.
“Ah!” Little Nurse squealed in excitement.
It was her idol—her first time experiencing such close proximity.
She was bursting with emotion.
“Your name is Li Yiyang, right?
Don’t worry.
Just follow the music and sing along.
Here’s an earpiece,” Monroe said, handing her an earpiece before heading back out.
Not until Monroe left did Little Nurse realize she had actually spoken to her idol.
Her face was scarlet red with excitement.
Monroe stood on stage looking like a Goddess.
“To show my appreciation to all of you, I’ll be performing one more song,” Monroe announced.
“Yes!”
“We love you, Monroe!”
The fans roared with excitement, their cheers deafening.
Soon, the music began to play, and the gorgeous sound of singing filled the venue.
