The Personal Bodyguard of the Female CEO -
Chapter 1055: 1054: Qin Shuya
Chapter 1055: Chapter 1054: Qin Shuya
The two security guards looked at Zeng Xiaozhang, feeling a bit hesitant. After all, Zeng Xiaozhang used to be their leader, and although they’re now with Shiyan Group, they still have some fear of him.
“You dare!” Zeng Xiaozhang tried to use his presence to subdue the two security guards.
“Damn it, Zeng Xiaozhang, do you think you’re still our manager?” Initially, the two guards were a bit hesitant, but Zeng Xiaozhang’s provocation reminded them of the times he’d bullied them and caused trouble, igniting their anger.
The two guards directly carried Zeng Xiaozhang and threw him out of the president’s office.
And it was a real throw!
“Lin Shiyan, you just wait!” Zeng Xiaozhang was thrown painfully, gritting his teeth, feeling like his wound was tearing open.
Meanwhile, Wang Dadong had already entered the Human Resources department.
As soon as he entered the office, the girls who had been chatting suddenly closed their mouths and pretended to be diligently working.
However, one girl, wearing a white professional outfit and purple glasses, had her back to the door, so she didn’t see Wang Dadong.
She continued speaking loudly.
“Do you know which of our managers is being kept?”
Perhaps she was too engrossed, as her fellow girl kept signalling to her, yet she didn’t notice.
Wang Dadong walked over and lightly tapped her shoulder.
“I bet it must be President Su… ah! Manager!” As she turned to look, she continued chatting away, but when she saw it was Wang Dadong who tapped her, she was instantly terrified.
Wang Dadong leaned in towards the girl in purple glasses and smiled, asking, “What were you talking about? You seemed to be having fun.”
The girl in purple glasses, already scared out of her wits, stammered, “Nothing, nothing.”
Wang Dadong withdrew his hand from her shoulder and then asked, “What’s your name?”
“Ah, Manager, please don’t fire me! I beg you not to fire me; I won’t dare again!” The girl in purple glasses became even more frightened upon being asked her name.
She cursed her bad luck inwardly, thinking that discussing the leader and being caught by the leader was now surely going to get her in trouble.
Wang Dadong crossed his arms, smiling, and asked, “Why would I fire you?”
“Manager, I’m wrong, I shouldn’t have talked about you, please give me another chance!” The girl was on the verge of tears.
“Oh? You were talking about me? What were you discussing, because I didn’t hear anything?” Wang Dadong asked in confusion.
“Oh, Little Qin was just saying how handsome and kind you are, Manager!” A rather smart girl immediately chimed in.
“Yes, yes, Manager, we were just saying how handsome you are.” The girl in purple glasses echoed.
“Oh, really? Looks like you all have good taste.” Wang Dadong chuckled and then headed towards his private office.
“That scared me…” Qin Shuya clutched her chest in fear and let out a sigh of relief.
Luckily, Wang Dadong hadn’t heard what she said; otherwise, it would have been disastrous.
“Little Qin, do you really think it’s over?” At this moment, an older employee coldly remarked.
Qin Shuya trembled slightly and looked at the female employee, asking, “Sister Zhang, what do you mean by that?”
The female employee called Sister Zhang snorted and said, “You think he didn’t hear you talking? I’m telling you, he didn’t expose you for two reasons: one, giving himself an out, and two, to appear magnanimous. However, do you really think he’ll let it go like this?”
Qin Shuya was a bit taken aback. Although Wang Dadong usually treated them with smiles, she’d heard that such people bear grudges the most — appearing not to care on the surface, only to stab you in the back later.
Besides, Wang Dadong was her leader, and if he wanted to cause trouble for her at work, she’d be powerless to handle it.
“Then, what should I do?” Qin Shuya became anxious.
The treatment at Shiyan Group is considered the best in the industry, and every Shiyan Group employee cherishes their job dearly.
Moreover, Qin Shuya had worked there for two years and performed well daily, almost seeing a chance for a promotion to supervisor.
Alas, it’s all because she spoke too much; why did she have to gossip about her leader in the office? Not only might her chance for promotion slip away, but she might even lose her job.
“Little Qin, it’s not that there’s no way, but it depends on whether you’re willing to do it.” Sister Zhang contemplated for a moment and said.
“Willing?” Qin Shuya asked anxiously, feeling like someone urgently seeking any remedy.
“It’s simple, indeed. Offer what the manager likes, give him what he wants.” Sister Zhang suggested.
“But, but I don’t know what the manager likes.” Qin Shuya was almost crying, not expecting that just by saying a couple of extra words, she’d now face the risk of losing her job.
“Men, well, they mostly want two things: money and attraction.” Sister Zhang said flatly.
Upon hearing Sister Zhang’s words, Qin Shuya clenched her small fist tightly. She understood what Sister Zhang meant: she should give gifts to the manager.
Either give money or offer herself to Wang Dadong.
But giving money was difficult for her as an ordinary employee with a limited salary, plus she had no idea how much to give.
As for herself…
“Little Qin, I’ve said all I can, but how to act depends on you…” Sister Zhang finished speaking and turned to start working.
The other employees glanced at Qin Shuya with sympathy but also a hint of fear.
Luckily, none of them got caught; otherwise, they might not know what to do right now, just like her.
After a long while, Qin Shuya slowly stood up from her chair, seemingly having made a decision. She couldn’t afford to lose this hard-earned job.
“Manager, this is the report President Qin wanted.” Tang Ninger handed over the report she worked overnight to complete to Wang Dadong.
Even though she had stayed up all night, Tang Ninger felt happy. At least she wasn’t just a coffee runner anymore.
“Hmm, just give it to her, no need for me to look at it.” Wang Dadong said without even glancing at it.
“Manager, shouldn’t you at least check? President Su said this report is very important.” Although Tang Ninger felt confident considering her expertise in statistics and calculations and had double-checked multiple times to ensure no mistakes, she still felt Wang Dadong should review it to be safe.
Wang Dadong laughed and said, “If you think there’s no problem, then there’s no problem. Just hand it over to President Su.”
“Alright.” Tang Ninger said helplessly but felt a bit happy inside, as it showed Wang Dadong’s trust in her and his approval of her capabilities.
Of course, it might also be that he wanted to be lazy.
After Tang Ninger left, Wang Dadong opened his computer, ready to start his day’s “work.”
Just after opening the Minesweeper window, Qin Shuya walked in with her head down.
