A flash of lightning and a green data stream sped along the ground, utilizing the fastest speed they ever had to escape.

They dared not stop, running all the way till evening.

As the sun set and the sky turned blood-red, a grand and majestic city appeared on the distant horizon, like a continuous mountain range from ancient times.

Finally, they arrived!

With a lift in their hearts, they quickened their pace.

As long as they could reach that place...

...they would be saved!

The city ahead, called Feiyan City, housed a high-level extraordinary person from the Evil Alliance. Though they didn’t know the person’s exact location, entering the city would allow them to use secret methods to make contact.

The spiky-haired man turned pale, lips trembling. The pain was far more intense than anything they’d ever experienced, piercing straight to their souls as if tearing them apart.

With a roar, he mustered his last strength and turned himself into a form of pure lightning.

However, the dark blue substance in his veins did not dissipate. Instead, it took root in his heart like a plant, its tendrils spreading throughout his entire lightning body!

"It’s a curse!" Another member from the Fatal Trojan project screamed hoarsely.

They weren’t sure when the curse had been planted!

Chunks of flesh fell from his face, and his skin cracked like dry bark, large patches of muscle and tissue sloughing off, exposing organs and bones.

With a cry of despair, his skeleton collapsed, his body falling apart into a heap of rotten, smoldering flesh, gradually dissolving into a puddle of blood under the curse’s corrosive effects.

The spiky-haired man was terrified beyond measure, but he was utterly exhausted and could not resist any longer.
