The wind was strong in the city of S at night, accompanied by the pitter-patter of light rain, making the room even warmer.

Mu Yiliang climbed out of bed, wearing only Yan Sijue’s white shirt, and barefoot, she moved to the bay window, gazing at the night scene of S City outside.

Because of the rain, S City was not as lively as usual tonight, and at this moment, the whole city seemed particularly serene and enchanting.

Yan Sijue’s eyes darkened as he tightened his embrace, saying, "I’ve ordered something for you; it will be here soon."

"I don’t want to eat in the room." Mu Yiliang tugged at his clothes coquettishly, "Let’s go out to eat, I want to see the river view."

"It’s very cold outside." Yan Sijue said in a serious tone.

"Don’t you have to work tonight?" Mu Yiliang glared at him.

She deeply suspected that this man was just fooling her! In fact, he never intended to let her know about his work! The fact that she was tormented till morning and slept all day was evidence!

If he refused her request, she’d leave! She wouldn’t stay here waiting for this young master to deign to her! Otherwise, wouldn’t she really become the kept woman he pampered?

"Alright." He seemed to know what she was thinking, gazed at her lovely face, his smile carrying a hint of indulgence.

"Then let’s go!" Only then did Mu Yiliang become happy, intending to change clothes, but struggling a bit, she was still firmly held in his arms.

"You’re wearing my clothes?" His hands started to behave naughtily.

"I don’t even know where you threw my clothes..." Mu Yiliang was grouchy.

Yan Sijue chuckled softly, releasing her as promised.

Every trait made him want to cherish her in some physical way.

She appeared sly and worldly, clever and rational, yet inherently exuded a deadly innocence that, when inadvertently revealed, he was nearly defenseless against.

Yan Sijue suddenly realized he was eager to know everything about her.

Who had she loved before, why she was willing to be with him, and who exactly she was.

But thinking that a deep investigation might risk losing her, he ultimately dared not act recklessly.
