The Newlywed's Sweet Honey: Husband, Pamper Me to the Bone! -
Chapter 36 I Owe You
Chapter 36: Chapter 36 I Owe You
"But, the way you look now..." Xiao Qi’s tone was full of respect, "That Young Master Yan has quite the heavy taste..."
Mu Yiliang was angry but decided not to explain further, "Alright, I should get going! You three be careful!"
"Mu, leaving so soon?" Robert was reluctant.
"I’m a married woman now!" Mu Yiliang said confidently, "In the future, I allow you to contact me, but unless there’s something unsolvable, don’t disturb my newlywed life!"
"Okay, okay!" The three of them nodded again. Mu Yiliang waved at them and then gracefully left the private room.
Once her figure disappeared, a look of pain immediately appeared on Jason’s face. He slumped in his seat, covering his face despairingly.
Robert and Xiao Qi exchanged a glance, their faces full of worry.
They both knew Jason’s feelings well, although Mu Yiliang might not.
Back when Mu Yiliang was infatuated with Ye Moran, Jason had always been patient. When she finally stopped liking Ye Moran, she suddenly got married and even got involved with another man.
This was undoubtedly a huge blow to Jason.
Their group had known each other for years, and although they often teased each other, they were also each other’s most trusted friends. Jason never hid his feelings from them, but unfortunately, Mu Yiliang never noticed.
"Jason, you heard Mu say she’d get a divorce." Robert patted Jason’s shoulder.
"Yeah, at least Mu doesn’t love any man right now." Xiao Qi also said.
Jason chuckled bitterly, shaking his head: "Do you guys not know her? She might seem easygoing on the surface, but deep down, she’s actually quite traditional. If she doesn’t love that man, there’s no way she’d get involved with him. Even if she doesn’t love him, that man must have a special meaning to her."
This was the source of Jason’s pain.
Xiao Qi paused for a moment.
She had to admit, Jason was right. Normally, Mu Yiliang would nonchalantly watch movies and talk about men with her, but unlike herself, Mu wouldn’t casually sleep with just any man.
"It’s best we don’t speculate on Mu’s thoughts," Robert frowned and said, "As long as she leaves City A, Jason, you still have a chance."
Jason looked up at his concerned friends and finally smiled, "I’m okay, don’t worry. I’ve gotten used to it, anyway."
He’s accustomed to quietly watching her from the background for so many years, and also used to the fact that she’s never liked him.
On the other side, Mu Yiliang walked out of the club, only to surprisingly find that Ye Moran’s Lamborghini was still parked in the same spot.
She raised an eyebrow and simply walked over to knock on the window.
The window rolled down, revealing Ye Moran’s smiling face, "Out so soon?"
"What are you doing here?" Mu Yiliang was full of suspicion.
"Waiting for you, of course!" he said as if it was a matter of course, "I brought you here, so naturally, I should take you back."
Mu Yiliang squinted her eyes, "You’re so free these days?"
In a place like Wall Street, where every second counts, this man actually had the leisure to stay in City A and endlessly entangle with her.
"For you, losing tens of millions of US Dollars is nothing," the man said nonchalantly.
Mu Yiliang let out a cold laugh, "You might as well consider that money as payment for all the work I’ve done for you over the years!"
Ye Moran was taken aback, and after a while, suddenly said, "It’s not impossible. What I owe you, I’ll have to repay bit by bit."
