Chapter 121: Chapter 121 Genius Son
"Mommy, have some snacks!" Xiaoze leaned toward Mu Yiliang’s ear and whispered softly.
His hand was holding a small plate with a few very cute cookies and pastries on it.
Mu Yiliang blinked in confusion and saw her son, who was even cuter than an angel, and the incredibly cute snacks in his hand.
She sat up immediately, her eyes sparkling: "All done? Xiaoze is getting better and better!"
"This is cranberry cookie and blueberry cake," Xiaoze cheerfully offered the tray, "Don’t forget to drink the milk!"
"Xiaoze, I don’t want to drink milk..." Mu Yiliang whined.
"No way!" Xiaoze remained unmoved, "You have to drink it!"
To nurture mommy’s health, Xiaoze even taught himself a lot of wellness knowledge and personally designed a diet plan for Mu Yiliang, strictly adhering to the standards. Unfortunately, some things faced Mu Yiliang’s steadfast resistance, such as milk.
"Xiaoze, you’re still growing, you should drink more..." Mu Yiliang earnestly advised.
"I’ve already had my share today," Xiaoze blinked, "Mommy, don’t think I didn’t see you pour the milk into the bathroom this morning!"
Mu Yiliang felt guilty. She thought she had done it quite discreetly in the morning!
It seems there’s nothing her genius son can’t figure out... Sigh, having such a son is both a blessing and a bit of a nuisance. Xiaoze can handle everything like an adult but is very strict with her, and she has no sense of being a mom in front of her son... Ugh, so sad...
She really doesn’t want to drink milk...
"Alright, if you really can’t finish it, just drink half!" Xiaoze, seeing her pained expression, reluctantly compromised.
"You said it!" Mu Yiliang responded, then picked up the glass with a tragic expression of impending martyrdom, gulped several mouthfuls, and quickly shoved a cookie into her mouth, finally suppressing the fishy taste.
"Half!" She pointed at the glass.
Xiaoze glanced at the two-thirds remaining and looked at her speechlessly.
Mu Yiliang looked up at the ceiling...
Xiaoze sighed, "Fine, I’ll think if there might be something to replace milk."
"You’re so amazing, I’m sure you’ll find it!" Mu Yiliang blinked her eyes wide.
"But until I find it, you still have to drink milk!" Xiaoze stood up, hugging her neck, "Mommy, you don’t want Xiaoze to worry about you, right?"
Uh...
Mu Yiliang nuzzled her son’s little face, reluctantly nodding with a grimace.
It was apparent her son already knew about her health condition, which is why he was so considerate and dedicated.
Despite the hardships she endured giving birth to him, Mu Yiliang never regretted it for a moment. Xiaoze is the most wonderful gift from heaven, and if having him meant exchanging her health, she believed it was a fair trade, no, she even felt she profited greatly.
These six years had felt like a dream to her, calm but warm, with occasional little excitements—unavoidable given her profession.
And evidently Xiaoze had inherited her talent in this area, even to a degree where he surpassed her, making Mu Yiliang a bit embarrassed to claim it was her genes.
It could only be Yan Sijue; Xiaoze is undoubtedly his son.
Xiaoze also looked a lot like him, with that elegant and noble little face, a spitting image of someone.
