"The corridors of the Imperial Palace were long, and the elevator was at the other end. Moreover, it was deep into the night, so naturally, there was no one in the stairway.

Li Qingshen walked swiftly. The moment he heard a door far away being pushed open suddenly, his pace quickened even more, and his expression grew serious. Reaching the elevator door, he paused for a moment, then quickly pressed a floor button. The elevator doors opened, and he swiftly slipped inside.

When Ling Momo ran out, she hadn’t properly put on her shoes and accidentally twisted her ankle. She couldn’t help but cry out softly, then steadied herself and looked up, just in time to see a man in a blue-and-white checkered shirt dart into the elevator.
