Wanru didn’t say a word and lazily took the wine glass with a curve of her red lips, raising her glass slightly to Chenxi before bringing it to her lips. She sniffed the wine slightly, frowned, and then gave Chenxi a firm look.

Momo noticed Wanru taking the wine glass and then took another from Chenxi’s hand.

Chenxi himself picked up another glass of wine from the table, raised it to Wanru and Momo’s glasses, and gently clinked them together. "To you!" he said.

After speaking, Chenxi raised his hand and downed the drink in one gulp.

Wanru also slightly raised her wine glass and poured the wine into her mouth in one go. Just as Momo was about to sip her drink, Wanru’s actions in placing her glass down were a bit exaggerated and accidentally hit Momo’s arm. The force was so strong that Momo’s hand shook and she couldn’t hold the wine glass steady, dropping it to the ground where it shattered.

Wanru gestured slightly with her hand, indicating it was not intentional, and quickly picked up a new glass of wine and handed it to Momo, signaling her to drink it.

Momo took it, raised it towards Chenxi, and drank it down.

Chenxi’s gaze flickered slightly but he didn’t speak; he just smiled and sat back next to Niange, presenting himself obediently.

Wanru stood up, gestured towards the door, and walked out.

At the party, one of ES’s senior staff toasted to Momo, and she smiled and drank.

Wanru soon returned, still with a smile on her face, and sat beside Momo, continuously watching Chenxi, occasionally raising her glass to her, signaling her to drink.

Although Chenxi could usually handle his liquor, he couldn’t outdrink Wanru, who had been drinking for ten years; soon enough, he felt dizzy and couldn’t help standing up, saying he needed to use the restroom.

Niange, considerate as ever, accompanied him.

Wanru watched them leave with cold eyes. Initially, someone was toasting her, but she swiftly placed her wine glass on the table and stated bluntly, "Sorry, I need to use the restroom as well. When I get back, I’ll drink three glasses with you."

After speaking, without waiting for the toasting person’s agreement, she stood up and walked out.

Wanru reached the restroom entrance. Niange must have gone to the men’s restroom. She waited there for a while and then saw Chenxi staggering out.

Without a second thought, Wanru walked straight towards Chenxi.

Her shoulder harshly bumped into Chenxi.

Despite having drunk a bit much, Chenxi’s mind was still clear. Feeling someone bump into her but not bothering to see who it was, she retorted arrogantly, "Can’t you watch where you’re going?"

After saying this, she staggered to the sink.

Upon hearing such words from Chenxi, Wanru suddenly turned her head, stared at Chenxi’s back for a moment, then walked towards her.

Momo, knowing how much Wanru had drunk and not seeing her return for a while, became worried. Apologizing to the others, she walked out.

She headed straight to the restroom. Before she could push the door open, she heard Wanru’s voice from inside, "Who did you say needs to watch where they’re going?"

Momo was startled, quickly pushed the door open, and immediately saw Wanru and Chenxi facing each other.
