He knew he was strict with her in his teaching, so much so that she harbored tiny grievances in her heart, but it was for her own good. Therefore, he wouldn’t scold her for wasting tea however she liked, and even to make her feel better, he pretended to be oblivious and drank a cup of the tea in which she had placed the ants.

He never would have imagined that such a doting and indulgent action on his part could elicit such a radiant smile from her.

Li Qingshen couldn’t help but stand there, staring blankly, feeling that her mischievous, innocent smile was so beautiful.

He thought, even if he had to drink tea with ants for the rest of his life, as long as her blooming smile remained forever on her face, he would be willing.

Although he could only watch her secretly, he still felt as if in that moment, he had possessed all that life had to offer.
