The Master’s Mask Unveiled Again
Chapter 956 - 955: Robot Little Sansan

Chapter 956: Chapter 955: Robot Little Sansan

Xiao Qimo was, of course, eager to get married—he’d been practically losing his mind over it.

His own documents had long been tucked in his pocket, just waiting for the proposal to succeed so he could drag Lu Mian to register the marriage. Although today was Sunday, it only took one phone call; they could still complete the process.

He had even thought through what to post on his social media and prepared the photos he wanted to use.

Xiao Qimo hooked his grandfather’s arm. "Alright. But can you head inside first? Mianmian is still waiting."

Xiao Jianli immediately broke into a smile. "Alright, alright... I’ll call the civil affairs bureau now and have them send someone over..."

"No need, I’ll take care of it myself." Xiao Qimo would never hand over even a small detail like this to someone else.

Otherwise, what would his role in this proposal and marriage registration ceremony be?

A prop?

"Fine then, make the call quickly... Mianmian proposed to you herself—what kind of luck did you rack up over several lifetimes to deserve this? Back then, you didn’t listen to me. If you’d met Mianmian sooner, would I have had to worry about you this much..."

The old man rambled on, and knowing he was in the wrong, Xiao Qimo stayed silent and accompanied him as they walked into the house.

But—

A sharp screech of brakes suddenly pierced the air outside the villa, halting the grandfather and grandson in their tracks.

They both turned and looked toward the entrance, catching sight of Lu Yutian rushing in on high heels with a face full of anxiety, taking small, hurried steps.

She was flustered, but upon spotting Xiao Jianli and Xiao Qimo in the yard, she immediately stopped, adjusted her posture to that of a refined young lady, and greeted them politely, "Grandpa Xiao, Mr. Qimo."

"And you are..." Xiao Jianli recognized Lu Yutian. He’d seen her a few times before during the Go AI competition but didn’t know who she was.

Lu Yutian introduced herself proactively, "Grandpa Xiao, I’m Lu Beihua’s granddaughter, Lu Yutian."

"Oh?" Xiao Jianli turned around, clearly surprised. "You’re Old Lu’s granddaughter?"

Lu Beihua had moved abroad relatively early—back when Lu Yutian hadn’t been born yet—and naturally, Xiao Jianli didn’t know her.

But now, hearing that she was Lu Beihua’s granddaughter, Xiao Jianli’s attitude toward Lu Yutian became noticeably warmer.

"Your grandfather and I go way back. We haven’t met in years," Xiao Jianli remarked nostalgically before shifting the conversation. "Child, you came rushing over like this—is something the matter?"

Lu Yutian lowered her eyes briefly to hide a glint of calculation, then nodded quickly. "I’m here to find Brother Yun Sang."

The commotion outside soon caught the attention of Lu Mian and the others inside the living room. One by one, they stepped out, all somewhat surprised when they saw Lu Yutian.

Yun Sang took a step forward, his rebellious features instantly clouded with irritation. A moment ago, he had been chatting and laughing with Lu Mian; now his expression had turned cold.

He looked at Lu Yutian and asked in a low voice, "Why are you here?"

This attitude made Lu Yutian feel somewhat aggrieved.

Whether in terms of personality, knowledge, or ability, she didn’t believe she fell short of Lu Mian in any way. So why was Yun Sang so distant and cold toward her, while he treated Lu Mian, an outsider, with such warmth?

Normally, she wouldn’t bother over such trivial matters, nor did she think there was any need to. But she was, after all, a nineteen-year-old girl—and she couldn’t stomach Yun Sang’s repeated favoritism.

"Brother, come with me quickly," Lu Yutian stepped forward and reached for Yun Sang’s arm.

Yun Sang dodged ahead of time. "What’s the matter?"

Lu Yutian exhaled sharply, "Grandpa fell unconscious and was hospitalized this morning! Come with me to see him!"

Yun Sang froze. "What happened to him?"

Being his biological grandfather, hearing such news naturally prompted Yun Sang to inquire further.

Nearby, Xiao Jianli also reacted with concern. "Old Lu’s in the hospital? I haven’t seen him since he returned to the country."

Originally, Xiao Jianli planned to ask Yun Sang about Lu Beihua’s situation after the proposal ceremony. But before he had the chance, he heard the news of Lu Beihua’s hospitalization.

Lu Yutian glanced around at the group, her gaze lingering on Lu Mian for a few seconds longer than others, tinged with a trace of coldness and blame.

Finally, she looked straight at Yun Sang and explained, "He was just sent for emergency treatment, so the specifics are unclear. I only overheard Xiaoyang mention that Grandpa has been consuming the Nourishing Elixir recently..."

She left the rest unsaid, but Yun Sang understood.

Yun Sang took a step back, his eyes sharpening as he sized up Lu Yutian. "What are you implying?" His voice was icy.

"Brother, this isn’t the time to discuss these things. Hurry and come to the central hospital with me. Let’s hear what the doctors say," she insisted.

Without sparing another glance at Lu Mian, she pressed Yun Sang to go. But everyone present could sense it—as if an invisible crown of guilt had descended upon Lu Mian’s head.

Xiao Qimo, Yun Sang, and Zero all wanted to say something, but Lu Mian stopped them, preventing any further confrontation.

"The most important thing right now is saving him," Lu Mian said.

She handed the pile of documents in her hand to Little Sansan beside her, pulled out her phone, and found a contact’s number. She sent a text while asking Lu Yutian, "What were Grandpa Lu’s symptoms before he lost consciousness?"

Lu Yutian’s gaze swept fleetingly over the documents in Little Sansan’s hands, her lips twitching into a subtle smirk.

The strange expression disappeared so quickly that no one noticed.

She didn’t spare Lu Mian a glance, nor did she answer the question. She merely urged Yun Sang again, "Brother, my car is just outside. Time is tight—let’s go."

At this point, Yun Sang couldn’t shake the worry. Patting Lu Mian’s shoulder, his tone steady and soft, he reassured her, "Don’t worry. I’ll handle this—I’ll go and take a look first."

Lu Yutian turned away awkwardly.

And by her feet, out of nowhere, appeared a plump little robot.

She blinked at it—wasn’t this...

Little Sansan had automatically processed keywords from the conversation and analyzed the situation, quickly determining the group’s biggest immediate need.

Wobbling its big head, it chirped brightly, "The optimal route to the central hospital has been mapped. Please start your car engine within two minutes. At a speed of 90km/h, you will have green lights all the way and can reach the hospital in 15 minutes."

As Little Sansan spoke, its screen displayed a detailed map of the planned route.

Every traffic condition, every light timing—everything had been calculated down to the smallest detail.

Without breaking traffic laws, the suggested route guaranteed avoiding all stoplight delays and traffic jams.

Lu Yutian frowned incredulously.

She immediately recognized this as the AI robot she had previously gifted to Lu Mian, its body still carrying the identifier II-823.

But what puzzled her was that after the AI competition ended, 823 had supposedly become a useless heap—incapable of producing such highly personalized route planning.

Stranger still, if her memory served correctly, her team hadn’t even programmed this capability into the second-generation robots...
