Chapter 41: Chapter 41 Galaxy Sacred Land

The visit from Galaxy Sacred Land caught Myriad Beasts Sect by surprise, and Bihai Immortal Sect was even more panicked. One Myriad Beasts Sect was already troublesome enough; now another power, comparable to Myriad Beasts Sect, was added to the mix. Do they really have to bully us like this? This place clearly belongs to our Bihai Immortal Sect!

A figure appeared on the Flying Boat, resembling a galaxy and radiating an infinite aura. Regardless of their cultivation level, all cultivators who hadn’t become immortals felt as though a great mountain was pressing down on them.

The warm aura of fire lifted the mountain, and Ouyang Xingwen’s commanding voice echoed from within the City Lord Mansion, "Xing Huai, bullying children is no skill at all. Let this old man keep you company instead."

As soon as he finished speaking, two phenomena appeared in the sky.

One was like a solar system from a former life, with planets orbiting a sun-like star. Unlike the astronomical phenomena of that former life, this was the power of a Heavenly Immortal.

Opposing it was the king of myriad fires, the Vermilion Bird, its wings aflame, feathers flickering with red light, its eyes like colossal rubies, and its flowing flames faintly visible.

The boundless galaxy of stars and the infinite fireworks of the Vermilion Bird collided in the air, neutralizing each other without a trace of force spilling down to affect the Immortal City below. This terrifying control of power made Chen Jiuge’s heart grow heavier. I’m still not composed enough. The Fire Qilin Bloodline has still stirred my spirit.

The clash between the two Heavenly Immortals continued. The titular Heavenly Immortal of Bihai Immortal Sect finally took action, unleashing Infinite Biluo Water from the sky, which forcefully interposed itself between the two combatants.

Before long, the phenomena in the sky disappeared, and people from Galaxy Sacred Land began to show up in Immortal City.

For cultivators like Chen Jiuge, this didn’t have much of an impact. These disciples from Galaxy Sacred Land were clearly here for the site of the Fire Qilin’s demise and wouldn’t stay long in the city.

After witnessing the terrifying power of the Heavenly Immortals, Chen Jiuge resolved to rectify the mistakes made from excessively using the Golden Finger under the Fire Qilin’s influence.

Of course, returning the collected Fire Qilin Bloodline was out of the question. He could only spend more time studying "Bloodline Transformation," the Myriad Beasts Sect’s Secret Technique for cultivating Spiritual Beast Bloodline. This secret technique could enhance Spiritual Beast Bloodlines. Though all disciples of Myriad Beasts Sect could learn it, it was very difficult to master.

The effect of this secret technique was not powerful, at least not until it evolved into a Divine Skill. Its effect could only be described as barely better than nothing. To cultivate this technique, one must also learn one of the fundamental Magic Techniques of Myriad Beasts Sect, "Beast Scripture." Others, even if they obtained it, couldn’t begin to practice it.

Chen Jiuge found his compatibility with this secret technique quite good. After entering the beginning stages of practice and realizing its low effect, which also required consuming either Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures or his own essence blood to enhance Spiritual Beast Bloodline, Chen Jiuge gave up. After all, with my Golden Finger, why would I waste time learning this? Wouldn’t that time be better spent on Body Refinement?

The "Bloodline Transformation" technique essentially forced the strengthening of a Spiritual Beast’s Bloodline using either same-attribute Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures or a cultivator’s essence blood, inducing a mutation and allowing it to devour other, weaker bloodlines to augment its own.

To cultivate this technique, one must first be very familiar with Spiritual Beast Bloodlines, then undertake a significant amount of practice. To be successful, one must meet one of two prerequisites: either have significant resources or make substantial personal sacrifices.

In the seven days leading up to the transaction, Chen Jiuge bought two Second Rank Fire Cotton Dogs from the stands of Loose Cultivators in the workshop to practice this secret technique.

After expending a large amount of Fire Attribute Spiritual Materials and quite a bit of essence blood, he finally managed to enhance the bloodlines of the two Fire Cotton Dogs once. Feeling the barely noticeable improvement, Chen Jiuge said with a wry smile, "This is truly frustrating. Even though I have better options, I still have to waste a lot of resources on this mediocre secret technique. However, I do have a knack for it, and if it could evolve into a Divine Skill, it wouldn’t be a loss."

"Junior Brother, we have arrived at the Flower Fairy Building, in a private room on the second floor. Hurry over," Senior Brother Lin En messaged.

Upon seeing the message, Chen Jiuge didn’t delay. After a quick wash, he approached Fang Zhi and said, "Senior Brother, the team leader from Hundred Herbs Peak has arrived. Would you like to come with me to take a look?"

Fang Zhi shook his head and replied, "Take these Spirit Stones. You go alone. Just buy at market price. With your secret technique, these Fire Elves’ quality can improve slightly, and they’ll sell for a higher price."

As one of the bases for breeding Fire Elves for the Sect, Fang Zhi’s purchase and resale to the Sect naturally wouldn’t be at a low price; this also constituted one of the benefits for the Sect’s disciples.

Chen Jiuge took the Spirit Stones without counting them. He would be here for the next few years, so it was unlikely that Senior Brother Fang Zhi would offend him over a few Spirit Stones.

「Flower Fairy Building」

Given the recent influx of Loose Cultivators with thickening wallets from pioneering new lands, the place was bustling when Chen Jiuge arrived.

Passing through the first-floor grand hall, which, with its smoky and chaotic atmosphere, almost resembled a worldly brothel, he quickly made his way to the second floor.

Thankfully, the environment on the second floor was much better. Chen Jiuge quickly arrived at the private room Senior Brother Lin En had specified.

"Junior Brother, you finally arrived," Lin En greeted with a smile.

Chen Jiuge quickly scanned the room. Lin En, Lin Jiu, and Zhen Yan hadn’t changed much; they were the same as ever. Zhen Dan, however, was noticeably different. The previously gentle-looking boy now had a sharper gaze and a more solid Cultivation. A subtle sharpness about him indicated significant progress on the path of a Sword Cultivator. Indeed, mining Heavenly Fire Marrow must carry considerable risks.

As for Lin Yanyu, he wasn’t present. As a Spiritual Plant Master, especially one in charge of transplanting and nurturing, he was always busy and had to constantly monitor his work to prevent mistakes.

"Junior Brother, we only have one day to rest. Let’s deal with the Fire Elf transaction you mentioned last time," Lin En spoke briskly.

Chen Jiuge had no objections. After all, I’m not the one providing the Spirit Stones. Why not negotiate?

Eventually, the deal concluded at market prices: thirteen Fifth Rank Fire Elves for thirty-nine thousand Upper Spirits, and fifty Fourth Rank Fire Elves for thirty thousand Upper Spirits, totaling sixty-nine thousand Upper Spirits. fre\e(w)ebn ov.e l\. co.m

Chen Jiuge had thought the Spirit Stones given by Senior Brother Fang Zhi wouldn’t be sufficient. Surprisingly, not only were they enough, but there was also plenty left. Senior Brother Fang Zhi is truly wealthy! It really pays to be one of the first to seize an opportunity.

What Chen Jiuge didn’t know was that this was the Sect’s advance payment for the next batch of pre-sold Fire Elves. Most Spiritual Beasts in the Spiritual Beast Hall were acquired this way: the Sect had Disciples raise them and then bought them back at a high price. High Rank Spiritual Beasts were exchanged for Merit, while Low Rank ones were sold at cost. Either way, the Sect wouldn’t lose out much.

After the transaction, Lin En and the others were satisfied too. Capturing Fire Elves in an environment teeming with Heavenly Fire Marrow was challenging. If Lin En hadn’t been at the Returning to Void level of Cultivation, it wouldn’t have been possible to capture so many Divinity Transformation Realm Fire Elves.
