"Are you okay?" Azura asked Madeline after she stopped the torture Nathaniel was putting on Madeline, and the girl nodded in relief before standing on her feet as she wiped the blood from the corner of her lips.

"Thank you for saving me," Madeline smiled, and Azura hummed, scoffing in her head.

"It was my duty," Azura said, and Madeline scrunched her brows.

"Your duty? By any chance do I know you?" Madeline asked, confused.

"I don’t think that you have connections in the witch world," Azura said as she turned around with her back to the human girl.

"Why were you getting punished by a witch anyway? I was in the forest, and I noticed you were first grabbed by that vampire and then a witch. What exactly have you done to get on the nerves of two men?" Azura asked, grabbing a leaf randomly.

"So it was a man again. Just how many men has she seduced," Madeline scoffed under her breath, which didn’t go unnoticed by Azura.

"What have I done? I have done nothing. It’s all because of that bitch Elliana. Had she never come into my life, things would’ve been completely different and -"

"But didn’t she make your life easier by being there?" Azura’s words made Madeline stop.

"What do you mean?" She scrunched her brows, her brows shooting up in anger and malice.

"Well, as far as I know, she was the one who went to jail, almost got raped, beaten black and blue by your family and those friends of, -"

"How do you know all of this?" Madeline looked at the girl inquisitively, a hint of suspicion rising in her heart.

What if it was the same process all over again? Sebastian had come and saved her from Elliana too, but later, he was the one who almost snapped her neck.

What if this lady here was following the same path? She saved her from whatever force it was, but what if she also came to hurt her in the end? It could be possible.

"How do I know all this? With this question, are you perhaps confirming that you indeed did and knew all about this? And even after that, you are cursing that girl? Don’t you think you are a bit too mean for a species that is meant to show humanity to others and spread peace?" Azura asked before she raised her gaze towards Madeline, who stepped back subconsciously.

Azura flickered her gaze to the trees behind Madeline, her eyes turning dark as she looked at the girl’s remorseless attitude.

This was the same girl who became the reason for her daughter’s hard life, her tearful days, and her nightmares.

"I am sure you don’t know who I am or why I am here. It was gutsy of you to speak of her like this without knowing who you were talking to. The girl who kept you safe for so long. Do you even know the reason you are alive?" Azura asked, her eyes turning a dark shade of violet mixed with hints of black dots.

Azura’s choice of words made Madeline even more wary, and she stepped back, feeling even more threatened by the lady who was standing casually.

From her experience, people like these who appear nonchalant have always been the ones everyone should stay wary of.

"Who are you?" Madeline asked, her hands reaching towards the back of her pocket to dial her father’s number so she could tell him what was going on here Azura smiled evilly.

"You should’ve asked this before spouting nonsense about that one girl who deserves the world," Azura looked at the trees that started falling behind Madeline, making her gasp in horror as she ran towards Azura to save her from the falling trees.

"So where were we?" Azura looked into Madeline’s eyes as the girl reached her, Azura’s powers making an invisible hand that raised Madeline in the sky.

Azura blinked her eyes, her dangerous smile becoming even more evil.

"Yes. I was asking if you knew the reason you were alive. It’s all thanks to the same girl whom you cursed. A dirty soul like you didn’t deserve to live and anyone close to her could’ve killed you anytime. But that girl wanted to find her mother without a problem. So she asked everyone to leave you alone," Azura whispered as Madeline flailed her legs in the air, trying to free herself from the invisible force.

It was the second time someone grabbed and attacked her throat, and it was taking a toll on her now.

"But unfortunately for you, that girl has found her mother now. She has no reason to stay away from trouble. And thus, you have no use," Azura smoked her herbal cigar as she looked at Madeline before she motioned the invisible hand to pull her down.

Madeline was brought right in front of her.

Azura looked straight into the vile girl’s eyes before she placed her burning cigar on her neck, letting it leave a mark there as Madeline winced helplessly.

"This is for burning my daughter into the hot boiling water," Azura said, her lips turning into a cunning smile.

However, deep down she felt her heart-pinching at the image of those blisters on her daughter’s body.

"You guessed it right. I am her mother," Azura placed her hand on Madeline’s head.

Madeline gasped. The pain of one thousand hammers hammering her head immediately shifted to her, and Madeline screamed in agony.

"Aaaaaaaa!" Madeline screamed, feeling her throat being ripped out as she screamed.

Her screams which should’ve normally echoed in the forest, echoed in the endless abyss of Pandora’s box that Azura created to do her work in solace.

Liking the music of Madeline’s screams, Azura twisted Madeline’s hand behind her back before she broke it, the sickening sound of bones breaking echoing everywhere.

"Today you will feel what my daughter felt all those years. Her years of pain, I will give it all back to you. We Minerva’s don’t keep anyone’s favor. Since you think you did a favor by letting my daughter stay in your palace, let me return it all. First, I will repay you, then your mother, followed by your father, and every single maid who looked down upon my daughter,"

Azura said before she clicked her fingers, breaking Madeline’s bones in her legs to almost a powder, making another wave of screams echo in her abyss as she clicked her fingers to cure her.

That was the plan.

She was going to keep giving her a near-death experience again and again and bring her back to how this vile human was. Azura wasn’t planning to kill her since Nathaniel didn’t want any problems in Elliana’s life, but she would ensure that Madeline knew what death and eternal pain felt like.

Azura wiped the rogue tear that rolled down her eyes, remembering how painful it was for her, and broke Madeline again. If not killing her, she would ensure that this girl doesn’t stay in a living condition either. She will make her mental.

Meanwhile, in Moon City, a group of vampires dressed in black dresses and their faces masked with panther masks invaded the werewolf’s place where the rogue wolf elderly couple who used to help Elliana was living.

"Where is she?" They asked, and the couple, who knew who these people were talking about, shut their mouths.

"What do you mean where is she?" Jasmine asked the vampires, baring her teeth in a threatening manner, her eyes turning golden as their wolves started to take over.

The vampires looked at each other, not expecting the elderly couple to fight back even when they were alone and there were more than twenty.

"You clearly know who we are talking about. There’s a group of mute female vampires that were last tracked here. We are interested in their leader. Don’t give us, ’we don’t know who you are talking about’ shit. Where is the girl?" The vampire’s leader asked, and Jasmine smirked, hiding the fear behind her confidence.

"Do you really think you can touch a girl who has both vampires and werewolves working for her? Your own species stabs you in the back while the other species will shred to pieces," Jasmine spat, and the vampire’s leader walked to her before grabbing her jaws, making her wolf growl at him in anger.

"Don’t fucking touch her," Nyx shouted, and the leader looked at the couple before smiling evilly and stepping back.

"You surely have a lot of guts keeping your age and situation in mind," He nodded at his people who invaded the other rooms to check for any evidence that would be able to help them.

The leader sat on the boss’s chair as his men kept the two wolves in control and tied to the pillars. After some time, he nodded at his men to bring Jasmine to him and they followed his orders, chuckling when the lady fell directly on the leader’s lap, her face landing right on his crotch.

The leader smirked at the lady before he played with Jasmine’s hair. Though Jasmine was more than 50 years old because of her werewolf genes, she looked barely in her mid-thirties, and it was more than enough for the vampires to want to ruin her in ways that the two wolves couldn’t even imagine.

"Sir, we found a contract. It looks like some bond contract," One of the men rushed out with a bond-like paper in his hand, and the leader flickered his gaze to the papers, an evil glint passing through his eyes.

Jasmine’s eyes turned wary as her heart skipped a beat, her gaze meeting Nyx who had the same expression.

This wasn’t good. If they have found the Interact, it means they would find the fact that -

"A contract?" The leader raised his brows in happiness like he got the biggest prize before he snatched the papers, turning the pages straight to see the other party of the bond.

"Let’s see what we have here," the leader grinned.

The leader’s gaze paused on the page as sweat beads appeared on his forehead.

He couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

"Princess?" The leader asked, looking at his man, who had the same expression as him.
