Chapter 258: That evil little thing and her powers

Splash!

"Mmmmm!" Gertrude woke up from her mini-slumber of sleep when Nathaniel threw the water on her face, making her glare at him.

"You are such a disobedient woman, aren’t you? I told you in a clear voice and simple words, didn’t I? No sleep for you. Let’s see how long you can go without sleeping and giving your powers the time to relax," Nathaniel increased the power of the torture machine he developed from scratch to extract and steal witches’ powers.

"You do know what you are doing is wrong, right? This is unethical," Gertrude shook violently in her seat, and Nath shrugged.

"Is it my fault? You guys are the ones who keep calling me a mixed breed. I help other witches just fine to fulfill my duty as a white witch.

But the dark part of me? It will feel bad if I don’t feed it too, right? So the dark part of me wanted to invent something and look what I came up with. Isn’t this the best thing in the world?" Nath smiled before he sat on his chair in front of her.

He tilted his head and leaned back in the chair, closing his eyes. He was barely keeping his cool.

It has been three days since he has been constantly trying to read this ancient book, but no matter how much he tried, he hasn’t been able to find anything, and this witch, Gertrude, hasn’t been helping, even a little bit.

"What you are doing is inhumane!" Gertrude gritted her teeth before she coughed blood, the little red liquid rolling down the corner of her lips, making Nath sigh.

"I never claimed to be humane, Gertrude. Probably it was all in your head when you thought I would show you mercy since I am a mixed breed witch," Nathaniel pulled out the magical dagger that he worked hard sharpening with his magic.

Gertrude looked at the sharp pointed Emerald blade that was laced with gold dust, and her breathing started to become uneven as she took deep breaths to calm herself.

She was going to die. She knew it the moment she was captured. But what kind of death would it be if she can’t even make her torturer, worry a little? Her subordinate died for the same purpose, and it wouldn’t be long before it would be her turn.

"If you are not going to open your mouth about this ancient book, then tell me what you found about the human you were spying on, and how much information have you passed already?" Nath placed the tip of the dagger under her chin, making her look up, and she chuckled coldly.

"That girl, what’s her name, Elliana, right?" Gertrude smiled, trying to keep her poker expression through the pain she was feeling as she looked into Nath’s eyes.

"Well, for now, her name is that. Once she gets out of that time phase, I will surely give her a beautiful name. A name that will make her feel mine," Nathaniel smiled thoughtfully, remembering all the names he had decided to call her.

"You will be able to name her only if she will survive for that long. Or should I say, keep her sanity?" Gertrude chuckled, coughing more blood.

"Is that so? What will happen to her? The strongest witches are constantly keeping an eye on her," Nathaniel said.

"If they are keeping a constant lookout for her, why haven’t they been able to sense Azura’s actions around her?" Gertrude asked, and Nathaniel narrowed his eyes.

"What do you mean?"

"Rather than answering your question, I would like to ask you something, Prince Nathaniel.

What do you think happens when we try to pour the water from a 10-liter filled to the brim Bucket into a 2-liter bucket?" Gertrude asked, and when Nathaniel didn’t say anything, she sighed.

"You are such a boring person. Let me tell you the answer. It overflows. The water starts flowing into the environment.

So what do you think will happen to that so-called human girl who has been given so many powers that she doesn’t even know how to control?" She asked.

"It will flow into the environment and everyone will know of her truth?" Nathaniel asked, ready to counter her words by telling her how they were ensuring that nothing like that happened and keeping her in control.

However, Gertrude shook her head.

"Pffttt...haha... she is not a bucket, Nathaniel," Gertrude laughed loudly, suddenly looking at him with the darkest expression.

"Unlike the bucket that lets the powers overflow, that evil thing will contain them. Swallow like a pill, digest like fiber, and let them run through her veins like her blood. Do you guys really think she would be tamed after that?" Gertrude shook her head before smiling.

"You are so innocent, Nathaniel. Even after all these years, you haven’t been able to find the truth behind Elliana’s birth. Do you really think that everything that Azrael tells you is the truth?" Gertrude asked.

Nathaniel didn’t understand a word she was saying. It sounded more like a gibberish put together, but even after that, a part of him was telling him to keep listening to her and see what she was trying to say.

"When you get the time and she is alone, ask that evil bitch or what you call a human with witch powers if she is able to look into other’s thoughts when she wants to. We all know that this isn’t a gift that is acquired by everyone, so just ask, okay?" Gertrude said before she coughed more blood.

"You yourself said that it’s not acquired by everyone, but it isn’t exactly a rare case where a witch can -" Nathaniel paused.

It wasn’t a rare case, but this case has never appeared among the white witches. All the rare cases evolved from the dark witches because it came with an evil energy for witches as it later upgrades to be able to see the future. And most of those were killed through a conspiracy or sacrificed because they were evil for the world.

"What happens when a witch becomes a necromancer, Nathaniel?" Gertrude whispered, and he felt his body freezing in its place.

He stood there, thinking about all the words Gertrude hinted at.

No. This wasn’t right. He was just overthinking things. Gertrude was clearly playing with his head. Elliana won’t be killed or sacrificed. She was a white witch and just like rare cases happen, she was just a rare case which was probability because of the siren powers.

Nathaniel walked out of the room to relax a bit and get away from Gertrude, who was filling his head with nonsensical thoughts.

It can’t be right. Nath nodded at himself before he clicked his fingers, to see what was going on with Elliana so that he could feel at ease.

However, as soon as he saw the scene in front of him, his hands trembled and his galaxy-colored eyes, turned ice blue.

’You taste divine. I am sure kissing your sweet little intoxicating pussy would be even better,’ the vampire had Elliana pinned near the balcony, and Nathaniel’s aura immediately changed, demanding blood as he looked at his sweetheart, whimpering under the vampire’s hold while she tried her best to control her powers.

She was suffering so much just to protect her secret. The least he can do is protect her from this vampire and never let her see his face ever again.
