Chapter 235: Let’s go and see who this leader is?

Sebastian looked out the window, thinking about the party inside the royal palace.

Something was definitely up. The birthday was in three days. So why was the party shifted two days earlier? It’s not like some kind of meeting was arranged. It was just for the family members today.

What was that supposed to mean? Do they intend to show him that there will be another party in three days where all the Dukes and outsiders will be called? But he won’t be invited to it?

That could be a reason.

It won’t be the first time the royals have tried to single him out because they don’t want him to join them or, in their words, scare them. Sebastian sighed.

It only means more work for his guards. Do they really think that just because they won’t allow him to enter, he wouldn’t be able to find what is happening inside that palace? He will just have to bring back his spy team.

Sebastian pressed his lips into a thin line, his hand subconsciously going to the pendant on his neck.

Lucas, who was busy scrolling the report to ensure there were no flaws before giving it to the prince, felt movement in the backseat and noticed the prince playing with the pendant.

His pupils dilated when he realized it was the same pendant from the morning, and he looked at Ambrose, who was already sneaking glances at him as if wanting to ask what was this all about.

Their prince, who never liked wearing any accessories and threw them no matter who gave them to him, was actually wearing such a flamboyant pendant?

Lucas sighed and told Ambrose what happened in the room through the mind link, obviously omitting the part where he asked the princess about her presence in the forest.

Ambrose looked at his prince and smiled inwardly. He was right today.

The princess was changing the prince.

Their prince was becoming more humane in her presence, and they couldn’t be more thankful to her.

It wasn’t like they hated the previous version of their prince. Everyone around him knew he was like this because of what he had suffered and how everyone treated him like he was some kind of monster. That’s why he started showing everyone he was indeed a monster.

They didn’t hate that side of the prince, but they definitely hated how he never tried to live a little or was spending his life monotonously.

Now that the princess was in their life, things were changing not only in the prince’s life and attitude but in the palace too.

It only needed one message from their princess for their prince, who was about to release those maggots on that rogue’s chest to have some fun to immediately leave his cruel plans and want to rush to her.

It was true that he was a bit too delusional about her messages and reading too much between the lines, but it was still better than killing too much between his mood changes.

As they all were busy in their thoughts, Lucas’s phone vibrated, and they looked at him.

"Hello?" Lucas said.

"Hello, sir. I have some news. I wanted to know if the prince had some time to visit us. We actually -"

"If you have some kind of news, then relay it first. What are you asking about time and things? Don’t you know the format of how to talk?" Lucas asked, narrowing his brows, not liking the attitude of this leader.

"I am sorry, sir. I completely forgot about it in a hurry. We have caught one of the girls. Those girls who had dared to attack us in the night and steal those human boys from us and when we had tracked them, they had cunningly tricked us, we got one of those girls. However, she is mute. I talked to her leader and called her here in one hour. Half an hour now," the leader said, and Lucas turned to Sebastian.

"The leader is a girl too. She doesn’t sound older than a teenager or someone in her early twenties. I also think it’s a cult-like thing because when I talked to the leader, she said she would skin us alive if I touched one of her girls. It means they all are related," The leader of the B spy team said.

"I wanted to know if the prince would like to meet the girl or if I should deal with her and -"

"I will be there," Sebastian interrupted, and the leader paused.

"You heard him. We will be there in some time. We are less than half an hour away from the place. So it won’t be a problem," Lucas said before ending the call.

He looked at the prince through the rearview mirror, waiting for further instructions.

"Have you called the princess to ensure she was safe, and she didn’t message me because she was in some kind of problem?" Sebastian asked as they were halfway towards the university, and Lucas nodded.

"It must be in the middle of her lecture. Do you still want me to call her, sir?" Lucas asked, and Sebastian hummed.

"If not her, call the dean. What does he do all day anyway? He can go and take a look," Sebastian murmured, closing his eyes.

"Yes, sir," Lucas immediately dialled the dean’s number and waited for him to pick it up.

"Hello?" The dean said.

"Hello, is this the dean of the biotechnology department?" Lucas asked.

"Yes. This is him. Who are you?" The dean asked.

"I am the second-hand man of the youngest prince, Lucas, we have met. We just received an anonymous message that someone is targeting the prince, and they might come for the princess too. We want you to go and check if Princess Elliana H is safe," Lucas manipulated some words.

He didn’t want to alert anyone. It was a good thing that his prince asked him to call the dean because if he had called them himself, he would’ve directly demanded that the dean spy on the princess and scare the person away.

"I have just completed my round. I met the princess only a few minutes ago. The princess is fine. She was standing with -" the dean stopped.

He has met the prince before and knows how dangerous that devil can be. If he told him that the princess was standing out of the class with the council’s head’s son, he might take it wrongly and think badly of the princess.

He doesn’t want to be the person to uselessly sow a discord between the two. And what if, in his fit of anger, the masked prince comes here to threaten them?

The dean shuddered.

"She was standing there?" The dean heard the prince’s cold voice, and he gulped.

"With some girls. They were taking in some fresh air after the lecture. So I can say, rest assured, she is alright," The dean said, and Lucas said a few more words about her safety before ending the call.

"She is okay, sir," Lucas said.

"Hmm... It looks like she messaged me just because she was missing me," Sebastian said.

Lucas -"..." Of course.

"If she is alright, I will meet her later. It’s not even her lunch period. Let’s go and meet this leader who had enough guts to steal my captives. I am quite intrigued by her," Sebastian said.

"By the way, Lucas," Sebastian started.

"Yes, sir?"

’Stop seeing those dramatic movies. You don’t need to manipulate your words so much all the time," Sebastian said, making Lucas sigh.

"Yes, sir," He said.
