It wasn’t fully light yet when Qu Tong faintly heard the sounds of soldiers training outside. She didn’t continue to sleep in but got up, washed up, and dressed to head out.

When she reached the living room, she saw Wen You leisurely watering the vines with a spray can.

Seeing Qu Tong, she greeted enthusiastically, "Good morning, little sister Tong Tong."

Qu Tong walked over and looked outside the living room, "Morning! Don’t you have to train?"

"The boss sent me a message this morning saying he’ll be back this afternoon and gave me two days off to keep you company," said Wen You.

Qu Tong touched her nose. She really was quite busy, and by comparison, she seemed excessively idle.

Wen You took out two sets of clothing from the Space Button and handed them to Qu Tong, "These are the clothes delivered by the logistics department, wear them if you like."

Si Yuting nodded in response, and then waved his hand to signal Qu Tong to step aside.

Qu Tong obediently stepped aside and watched Si Yuting inspect the training results.

Wen You had long told her about these occasions, which happened every few days, and she and Cheng Feng were part of them too.

This was the first time Qu Tong watched Si Yuting battle his subordinates—one man taking on thousands—and it was a fearsome sight.

Si Yuting stood tall and agile as the wind, his gaze firm, exuding an invisible yet captivating authority.

His Thunder-element Ability was like a storm, both offensive and defensive, with spiritual power utilized to its fullest. It made Qu Tong herself want to join in and train.

Qu Tong’s burning gaze stayed on Si Yuting without shifting for a moment. After he had knocked down every last person, she approached him with concern and offered him a bottle of Energy Liquid.

"Your Highness, you’re so amazing!" Qu Tong’s smile was bright, and her eyes showed sincere admiration.

Si Yuting looked at the energy liquid in front of him, his expression difficult to read as he glanced at Qu Tong. He took it but didn’t drink it on the spot.

Little did he know, Wen You on the side was clutching Cheng Feng’s arm, about to die of laughter.

Cheng Feng grimaced as he pried off Wen You’s ’devil’s claw’, a look of confusion on his face.

Qu Tong followed Si Yuting back to the base, occasionally glancing sideways at him with a secretive sparkle in her eyes.

Si Yuting noticed Qu Tong’s little movements, stopped in his tracks, and slightly raised an eyebrow.

"Are you disappointed I didn’t drink the energy liquid, my lady?"

"Not at all," Qu Tong shook her head in denial, blinked, innocent and harmless.

A barely noticeable smile tugged at the corner of Si Yuting’s lips, and he gazed at her in silence.

Qu Tong wasn’t scared at all, smiling ever so sweetly.

After a while, Si Yuting let out a light laugh, "Are you still getting used to it?"

"Ah?" Qu Tong was caught off guard by this change of topic, yet she thought she saw a hint of indulgence on Si Yuting’s face.

She gathered herself and then nodded, "I’m getting used to it."

Si Yuting had guessed that Qu Tong didn’t want to train and knowing that she didn’t have spiritual power, he let her be.

After escorting her to the door, Si Yuting returned to his own room.

Qu Tong also went back to take a bath, changing out of her military uniform into a comfortable dress.

Today, she had followed the soldiers to do prone training and ended up covered in dust, so she soaked for a bit longer than usual.

By the time she came out of the bathroom, the sky had turned completely dark, and the previously calm weather had given way to a downpour with flashes of lightning and roars of thunder.

Qu Tong opened her light computer and saw several messages from Wen You. She could almost imagine her slapping the table in laughter through the screen.

The lightning outside the window flashed, followed by thunder that was especially loud. Even with the windows closed, the sound was clearly audible.

Qu Tong got up to draw the curtains.

Figuring she wouldn’t be able to sleep anyway, she simply thought of calling Wen You over for a chat. She was quite interested in the matters of the Insect Clan, and after all, Wen You had the day off tomorrow.

She wasn’t sure if Wen You could leave her dorm on her own, but with Si Yuting’s permission, there probably wouldn’t be a problem.

So she sent a message: [Tell your general and come over to keep me company tonight.]
