Chapter 89: It’s An Order!

Luca stood in the dark alley, watching as Eduardo and Marcello got into the car. They started the engine and also drove off. His eyes followed them till they were out of sight.

A grin appeared on his face.

"Oho! That monster that killed my family is getting married" he muttered, touching his chin.

He had held himself back from stabbing Marcello when he stood close to his car. Even if he had the chance, he was still scared of Marcello. He’s like a rumoured devil who had fun killing people. But, with that blissful and peaceful look on his face, he couldn’t help but wonder.

’Is that the look of a devil? Or he’s just like that whenever he’s with Eduardo’

His phone chimed in his pocket and he pulled it out, glancing at the message that entered his phone and the sender’s ID.

Viola.

He clenched his fist, as he stared at the message. He had already found out where Eduardo was and what he was doing. The real problem was who to relay this information to.

Charlotte or Viola.

He’s here in Italy, just because Charlotte had ordered him to bring Eduardo back to Russia and make sure he’s not able to escape again.

"How could she just order me to bring him to Russ like he’s a child. Has she seen his size?" He grumbled.

On the other hand, was Viola, the stepdaughter he never knew Charlotte had. He was shocked when she visited him a few days before he arrived in Italy. It was as if she knew all of his plans.

She also turned out to be Eduardo’s older twin sister. At first, he didn’t believe it, but after seeing the striking resemblance, he had no choice.

All she wanted was her brother.

Just as Charlotte wanted Eduardo back to Russia, locked away, Viola wanted to take Eduardo away from that family.

The last person who approached him was Fabio, the claimed prince of Russia. There was nothing unusual about him. According to the internet, he’s kind, sweet and popular.

He also wanted Eduardo to return and take his rightful place as the heir.

There was no way Luca was going to let that happen. If he becomes the heir, Eduardo could get revenge on him and his family for how roughly he was treated throughout his childhood.

He ignored Fabio totally. He had to choose between Viola and Charlotte.

He rubbed his chin and exhaled sharply.

"How are you able to hog all of this attention to yourself, Eduardo? We’ll meet again and I hope by then, I’ll have made my choice"

With that, he turned around, adjusted his cap and walked deeper into the dark alley.

Marcello arrived at the manor and immediately sent the marriage papers to the Gatti household. He didn’t want Maria to end up changing her mind.

He was surprisingly excited. Soon, he’d be married and become the head.

After signing the papers and sending them off, he scrolled through his phone. The internet was flooded with pictures of him and Maria. He was so certain that it was his father’s doing.

The news of Maria Gatti becoming his seventh fiancée has spread like wildfire. Everyone wondered if she was going to last long or end up like the others who were dead.

Some of the pictures captured them outside the restaurant, standing near the car. The media even went ahead and cropped Eduardo out of the picture.

Marcello tossed his phone to the desk and leaned back on his chair. There was a short knock on the door and Nikolai entered.

"Yo! Cuz!"

Marcello frowned upon seeing his face.

"What are you doing here?"

"I heard you were getting married to Maria Gatti. I only came here to congratulate you" he shrugged as a grin appeared on his face.

"Weren’t you interested in this position?"

"I was. But, it’s too much of a problem for me to sit behind a desk all day and all night. I prefer to be out there partying" he stretched his hands up, as he yawned.

"If my father had given you this position...."

"I would have rejected it" Nikolai cut him off. "Anyway, since you’re going to get married to Maria, your ceremony is in two weeks, which turned out to be your birthday. How lucky. Two celebrations in one day" Nikolai nodded his head.

Marcello glared at his cousin, he had always thought Nicky was after position, but he wasn’t. He shook his head and stood up from his seat.

"Since you’re not interested, I guess there’s no need to see you as my rival"

"How cute. I wanted to be your rival, though" Nikolai teased.

"You got rid of that stalker. You have my thanks" he patted Nikolai’s shoulder and walked past him.

"I’m off to see my Eddy now. Goodbye!" He waved and left the office. Nikolai watched him leave and slammed the door. The fake smile on his face disappeared immediately after he left.

He looked at his phone and saw his mother’s message. No, more like a warning.

’Sorry, but things won’t go your way...’

Eduardo lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling as he was lost in thoughts. He still wanted to know if Luca was here because he was going to get his revenge on Marcello.

’He said he was going to talk to me through the phone. Should I just sit and wait for him? What if he hurts Marcello in the process?’

Deep in thought, he didn’t notice Marcello slipping under the duvet, lying beside him.

He poked Eduardo’s cheek, trying to get his attention. He slowly turned his head and looked at Marcello.

"You’ve been daydreaming ever since we left the restaurant. What are you thinking about?" He asked.

"I’m fine," Eduardo replied, turning his face away.

Marcello was sure something was off. He wasn’t fine. He was certain Eduardo was definitely hiding something from him. He pulled the duvet off his body and leaned his face closer to Eduardo’s face.

"I know something that can calm you down," he said.

"What are you talking about?" Eduardo questioned.

Marcello pressed his lips on his. Eduardo shot his eyes wide open, not reacting to the kiss. Marcello pulled his head back and rubbed his thumb over Eduardo’s lips.

"Open your mouth, Eddy," he said, licking his lower lips. "It’s an order"

Eduardo looked at him and, hesitantly, parted his lips.
