Chapter 48: Bruno Leo!

Viktor swiftly handed the chain to Eduardo, out of fear. He had lived with Eduardo for more than three months, but he had never seen this side of him before. Eduardo had always acted calm, silent and like a dumb weakling, but the person in front of him wasn’t like that.

When Marcello gave Eduardo the task of forcing the truth out of the traitor, he thought he would have to chip in and do the dirty work himself since he believed Eduardo wouldn’t be able to shed a single blood, but to his surprise, he did even more.

He burnt his ear and even cut it off, which is one of the most painful parts of the body. Viktor snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Eduardo who still had more to do.

Eduardo grabbed the chain and moved closer to the traitor who was already crying. His body had been stained with his blood and was even dripping on the floor.

"You’re also a devil, aren’t you?" He questioned, with his weak voice.

"Am I? I’m not taking anything from you. The blood you bleed is just the blood you own; I’m only helping you see it," Eduardo said and forced the chain inside his mouth. It was too big to fit his mouth but, he only made him bite on the chain.

"Clenched your teeth hard," Eduardo said.

"Huh?" The traitor mumbled, confused about what Eduardo was about to do. Even Viktor and Mario were confused, but Marcello knew his next move.

Eduardo stood close to him, grabbed his head and swiftly raised his knee, striking the traitor’s jaw. Mario shot his mouth wide open, even Viktor was already terrified.

As the chain slipped out of the traitor’s mouth, a few of his teeth fell off.

Marcello was having enough fun, but at that moment, he knew if he left Eduardo to keep torturing the criminal, he’d end up dead. He spat his cigarette butt on the floor and grabbed Eduardo’s shoulder.

"That should make you relieved. You’ll end up killing him if you go on, babe" Marcello said to him. Eduardo sighed and wiped the sweat buds off his head.

Marcello shifted his gaze to the traitor who was already tired. He had no strength in him to complain or cuss at Eduardo.

"Are you ready to speak now? Or do you need more beatings?" He asked. He raised his head, his gaze was getting blurry.

"I’ll speak" he uttered, but his articulation was a bit off since he had lost some teeth.

"Then speak. Who’s the dog that sent you to spy on me?" Marcello asked.

"It’s...."

.

.

"Mr Bruno Leo. It’s... it’s nice to have you here"

Mr Bruno Leo, an ordinary businessman with a few companies in Italy, stepped into the lobby of the old hotel building. The receptionist, who was always on his phone, playing video games was pleased to see him in the building. He rubbed his palms together, following him behind.

"Are you here to see the scene, Mr Bruno?"

"What else am I here for? Lead the way!" He spoke arrogantly. The receptionist handed a nose mask to Bruno.

"You’ll need this sir. Please, follow me!" He said.

They both headed upstairs and headed to the room where the fight occurred a few days ago. The bodies of the men had been arranged in rolls with their bodies covered with white clothes.

Bruno stepped forward and pulled the white clothes from the body. He saw a single stab wound at the side of his neck.

"He’s skilled. Did you say a single man killed all of my men?"

"Yes, sir. This is what I found on the CCTV" The receptionist handed Bruno his phone to watch the fight between Eduardo and his men. He saw how Eduardo skillfully used all of their weapons against them, stabbing them. The one he planted as a spy in Marcello’s mansion shot him and tried to run away.

"He’s the same bastard! The one Marcy left me for" Bruno clenched the phone. The receptionist wore a worried look on his face. He wanted his phone back.

Marcello arrived at the scene, and as if it wasn’t enough, Bruno silently watched how Marcello ripped Eduardo’s shirt and covered the wound on his shoulder.

"Fuck!" He yelled, throwing the phone on the ground.

"Eeek!" The receptionist shrieked in pain, seeing his phone smashed on the floor. But, he couldn’t move to grab it.

"It’s the same bastard he kissed at the airport. How could he leave me for some cheap brat?!" He grumbled and shot a hard glare at the receptionist.

"Burn down the hotel and move to the third location. Regroup with the other team there and wait for my next order"

"Yes, sir!" The receptionist nodded his head. Bruno ripped the nose mask off his face and threw it at the receptionist. He turned around and immediately walked away.

As soon as he was out of sight, the receptionist rushed to grab his phone.

"My game!" He cried.

.

.

Meanwhile, Marcello already got the name of the person who was after Eduardo.

"Bruno Leo? That persistent bastard that couldn’t leave me alone!" He burst into laughter.

Mario knew who it was but Eduardo didn’t.

"Keep him alive, Viktor and force the other information out of him. If he refuses to speak, rip out his tongue and throw him to Bruno," he said.

"Bruno?" Viktor asked.

"Not Bruno Leo. I mean my dogs. That’s what that bastard named himself after since he’s so obsessed with me"

"I understand, young master!" Viktor nodded.

"Come with me, Eddy" Marcello walked out of the prison cell with Eduardo following him behind.

Mario didn’t even know if he should follow them or not. As Eduardo walked past him, he still refused to look him in the eye.

Eduardo tried not to think too much as to why he was being ignored by Mario. He knew it was already because of what he saw in the room. He just went after Marcello.

"Don’t worry, Eddy. This time, I’ll protect you"

"From who? Bruno Leo? Who is he anyway?" He asked. Marcello stopped talking and turned his head. His eyes met with Eduardo.

"He’s a bastard that you should avoid at all costs. I met him once and had a one-night stand with him after I lost my best friend. He looked just like Carlo. Brown hair and all. But I didn’t know he was a maniac. I agree I’m a sex freak but that bastard is a sex god and even more. He’s obsessed with me because you’re now with me"

Eduardo rolled his eyes when he heard that.

’Had a one-night stand with someone because he looked just like me? This fucker!’

"He’s not that dangerous, is he?" Eduardo raised an eyebrow, asking out of curiosity.

"He’s not dangerous. However, he’s not Italian, so the Diabolos have no control over him. Do you understand what I’m saying? That means if I kill him. I’ll get arrested by the Americans. Don’t mind his name. He’s an American who changed his name to Bruno after finding out that’s my dog’s name. Just do me a favour and don’t leave the manor" Marcello explained.

Eduardo lowered his head. He doesn’t know who this Bruno Leo is, but just as Marcello said. It would be better to avoid him than to have any contact with him.
