Eduardo approached Luca, glanced at him from head to toe and smirked. He looked like he had just sneaked in. The suit fitted him perfectly but his red hair made him look like a gangster butler.

That wasn’t his natural colour, but he has been using that particular colour since high school. That was the colour that fitted him well.

Luca bowed his head as soon as Eduardo reached his side.

"You’re quite early," he said.

"I had to check in as early as I could. I can’t afford to flop on my first day" he replied.

They headed down the stairs together, and they approached the dining room. Luca looked at Eduardo from behind. His steps slowed down as if his legs were getting weak.

"If you’re tired, I could send your meal to your room," he said.

"Why? I’m fine" he responded.

"Fine? Everyone in the manor knows how many hours you spent with your new woman. I guess you two will be getting married soon" he rubbed his palms together.

"Be quiet now", he said, and Luca opened the dining door. As soon as he stepped foot into the room, all eyes diverted to him, including little Timmy.

Nessa had a bit of confusion on her face. It was as if she wanted to ask him millions of questions.

’I’d better not sit close to her today!’

He said and sat away from the others.

"Good morning," he greeted, but they didn’t answer, not even his father, who was giving him a proud look.

"Where is your fiancee?" His father asked.

"She ran away..." He answered, spreading the napkin on his lap.

"I’d run away if it were also me..." His sister spoke.

"What do you mean?" Eduardo asked.

"You stay in there for six hours..." She paused and looked at Timmy’s innocent face. She couldn’t say that in front of the little boy. She just sighed deeply and straightened up.

"Let’s have a serious chat later, brother" she spoke with a grin on her face. But, Eduardo knew it wasn’t just going to be an ordinary chat.

He just agreed to it and they started eating.

Maya never came to the dining room for breakfast. Antonio sent her breakfast to her through the maids. They returned, talking about the hickies they saw on her body.

It was after having breakfast that Eduardo realised that there was no sign of Fabio and David anywhere. He couldn’t bring himself to ask. Viola also didn’t look like she was concerned.

’Did something happen during their date yesterday?’

He couldn’t help but wonder.

Luca took Eduardo to his office where he worked on a few documents as it was part of his schedule. After that, he did an hour of training in the gym.

He had no idea who added it to his schedule, but he didn’t complain. He had to remain strong for him to protect himself. Sit-ups, push-ups and other kinds of exercises were added, and Luca made sure he completed everything.

"Good job, Master" Luca handed him a bottle of water. Eduardo snatched it from him and downed it at a go.

"Don’t treat me like a dog!" he said, standing. Luca’s eyes trailed around his abs as he lifted his shirt to wipe off his sweats.

"My bad, forgive me, Master," he said.

Eduardo threw the bottle back to him and stretched his body.

"What’s next on my schedule?"

"Ah, nothing. You can rest, watch a movie or spend another six hours with your..."

"Speak again, and I’ll thrust that bottle down your throat", he spoke with a smile on his face.

"So you were here..."

They heard a female voice and turned to the door. Maya walked in, wearing a pant and a tank top. The marks on her body were visible. Luca looked at her and his cheek flushed red. Almost as if he had fallen in love.

’She looks so innocent and beautiful...’

That was what was thinking about.

"Why did you come here?"

"I heard you were training, so I came to help" She stretched her hands, doing a warmup.

"I have no interest in training with you..." He said.

"Are you scared I’d beat your ass?" She asked.

He frowned and glared at her. She wore a mocking smile on her face.

"Let’s fight then... The first person to beat one’s ass win"

"Deal!" She said.

"Huh? You can’t fight a lady, Master! She’s weak and..." Luca swallowed the rest of his words when he saw Maya throwing flying kicks at Eduardo. His eyes widened in shock.

"Where did that innocent girl go?" He mumbled under his breath.

They weren’t using any weapons, but she was fast with her hand but Eduardo was faster in dodging all of her attacks. Still, he wasn’t sure who was going to win. She attacked him with her knees, elbow and even leg, but he blocked everything. He didn’t even break a sweat doing that.

She frowned, gritted her teeth and lept back.

"Huh? Are you tired? Didn’t you say you were going to beat my ass?" He sneered. She clenched her fist and lunged toward him with her clenched fist. She was about to give a surprise back-kick, but he caught her leg, sliding his hand down her lap before spinning her. Her chest leaned against his.

’Huh? What just happened?’

Her eyes widened in shock.

SLAP!

She shuddered when his hand slapped her ass. A soft wince escaped from her lips before he released her leg.

"There you go. I win!" He said, turning to the door.

The molecule on Luca’s face dropped as he shot his mouth wide open.

"Is that how it’s supposed to work?"

Maya was also surprised. She wasn’t supposed to stop fighting, but when he touched her leg, she did.

She had been the kind of person who didn’t care when other men touched her when she fought. No, she made them weak in the legs when fighting.

But it was the opposite this time; an attractive gay man who had no interest in her was making her this way. She hugged her body, lowering her head, hiding her flushed face.

"This has got to be a lie!" She whispered to herself.
