"Don’t be scared. If you have something you need to protect, it’s better locked away from the rest of the whole world" Maria smirked and walked down the stairs, glaring at Eduardo.

He locked gaze with her till she left.

Marcello slipped his fingers into his hair.

"If she hated me this much, why did she agree to get married?" He grumbled. Eduardo averted his gaze from Marcello, back to the staircase where she stood.

’Hate you? She’s obsessed with you. I’m the one she hates. It seems like she saw Luca earlier. But, why befriend him?’

Eduardo thought to himself.

"Come with me, Eddy!" Marcello brushed past him. They entered the room together and Marcello locked the door behind.

"You’re sweaty. Go take a shower" he said.

"I’m fine. If you have anything to say, say it!" Eduardo spoke firmly.

Marcello looked at Eduardo, wearing a serious expression on his face.

"Don’t leave this room, until the party is over"

"Are you going to lock me up? What am I? A dog?" Eduardo frowned.

"I’m not treating you like a dog, Eddy! I..." He yelled and his voice softened immediately. "I don’t want to see you leave my side. What if someone comes and just takes you away from me?"

"Where could I possibly go? I’m stuck here, with you. Didn’t you make sure of that? You have my slave papers, don’t you?" Eduardo asked. Marcello exhaled sharply and walked closer to him. He placed his head on Eduardo’s shoulder and wrapped his hands around him.

"Eddy... Just do what I want. Don’t make me order you, babe" his voice came out soft.

Eduardo didn’t accept the hug. He was upset with Marcello’s unusual attitude. He had become more clingy and didn’t allow him to communicate with other people, not even Nickolai.

"If I say no, what are you going to do about it?" He asked.

Marcello slipped his hand to Eduardo’s neck, wrapping his hands around it.

"I’ll have to order you, then" he grumbled with a bit of annoyance in his tone. "You’re not allowed to leave this room till after the party", he said and left his body.

Eduardo drooped, lowering his head.

"If that’s what you want, I’ll do it. However, I hope you aren’t hiding anything important from me. That’s your part of your deal, young master. Don’t make me hate you" Eduardo spoke without staring at Marcello and walked into the bathroom. Marcello stretched his hand, wanting to stop him, but he held himself back.

’I also don’t want you to hate me, Eddy. For me to have you to myself, I have to make sure you don’t meet with that red-haired lizard’

He gritted his teeth and also walked to the other side of the room.

Meanwhile, after a long week, Viola finally got proof of Fabio’s birth and also the crimes that Charlotte had committed. Arthur took a long time arranging all the proof. During their meeting, he didn’t come alone. His cousin, who was in tears, came to see Viola.

Even after seeing Viola, she kept crying. She was so happy to know that her son was alive.

"I’ll do anything to get my son back. Please, help me" she begged Viola. Viola can’t promise anything. Charlotte had power everywhere, including in the military. She could avoid getting sentenced.

Unless...

"I’ll make sure she gets the punishment she deserves". Viola promised.

"I understand. If you need anything else, please let us know," Arthur said.

Viola nodded her head. Looking at Arthur, she was sure that he still had feelings for his mother.

’If she were alive, I would have got her married to him. He’s much more reliable than that old man’

She drove back to the manor and instead of handling everything herself, she went to her father. He was busy with his butler as usual.

She walked closer to them and banged the document on the table.

"Vi..."

"That’s proof. Everything you need to know about your wife and son. I hope you’ll handle everything and get justice for my mother". He said.

The butler took it and opened it. He stretched it towards her father to read. His eyes widened in shock as he saw it.

"Charlotte..." He muttered her name.

"If you get justice for my mother, I may consider returning to the family," she said. He looked at her, holding another file.

"What’s that you’re holding?" He asked.

"It’s something personal. You don’t need to concern yourself with this one. Remember father, I’m going to bring Eduardo back to this house. My brother will not return home if that witch is still here" she said and walked out, slamming the door.

The old man sighed and jerked off his wheelchair. The blanket covering his legs fell.

"Seems like Charlotte’s secret has been exposed. We can’t hold back now"

"Master, you’ve been faking your illness for years, do you think it’s okay for you to appear in public suddenly?"

"It doesn’t matter. If I’m going to get my children back, it’s worth it. Make arrangements, we must get Charlotte before she finds out what we are up to" he said, in a commanding tone. His eyes were cold and merciless.

The real Ivanov had returned.

Viola stared at the file in her hand. She didn’t know how she came across this file that was part of what Arthur added, but she was pleased.

All she wanted was a little assistance from Arthur, but he gave her every single information about Charlotte.

’Now, I understand why he took a lot of time preparing this. I wonder how Luca is going to feel when he sees this. Arson, mass killing, oh, Charlotte, you haveno idea what’s coming for you’

She dialled his number and waited for him to answer.

"Miss Viola..." He spoke. Her lips curled into a smile as she looked at the file.

"I have something you need"

"What do you think I need?" He asked, with annoyance in his voice.

"Information. Information about what happened that day. The fire, your parents’ death. I have proof of who did it and I’m staring right at it"

"What? How would I believe you?"

"You don’t need to. I can send it right away if you want. However, you’ll send me my brother’s location. Deal?" She asked, waiting for his response.

"...." Luca waited for a few seconds before giving his response.
