Chapter 1148: Chapter 1127: The Fight Begins

Li Yunfeng pounded him with punches and kicks.

The Fifth Prince, who was watching from the pavilion, clenched his fist and slapped it into his palm, stamping his foot and saying, "It’s over, they’re really going at it now."

He jumped down from the railing and dashed toward them, "Hurry, stop them, stop them! We can’t let her go to the main hall. All the court officials and warriors are there."

Bai Erlang was just a step behind, also ready to dash over, but a quick-witted eunuch grabbed him, advising, "Young Master Bai Er, you might not want to go. This started because of you, didn’t it? If you go, wouldn’t Commandery Princess Yunfeng get even angrier upon seeing you?"

Bai Erlang wouldn’t listen to him and struggled, "What do you mean it started because of me? It was clearly Li Yunfeng who wanted to fight with the princess. What does that have to do with our Senior Sister and brother? Let me go, I want to go check on Manbao."

The eunuch held on tightly, "Oh dear, your fiery temper will only add fuel to the fire if you go over. Why not let Young Master Bai handle it?"

Bai Erlang then said, "Then you go call Bai Shan."

"I can go call him, but Young Master Bai doesn’t know me and might not trust me. Do you have any token on you?"

Bai Erlang’s eyes were still on the garden where he saw Li Yunfeng’s maid carrying a whip, creating chaos for a moment. He didn’t really process the question and casually handed over the jade pendant he always wore, "Take this, he’ll recognize it right away."

The eunuch took it and bowed before leaving.

Bai Erlang dashed toward the garden.

Qiu Ye didn’t expect that just by going to fetch a whip, a fight would break out by the time she got back. Seeing Ji Hao pulling on their Commandery Princess, she hurried forward to stop them...

Li Yunfeng saw her running over with the whip and snatched it from her hands. She counter-whipped, and Ji Hao let go of her hand and jumped away.

Now that Li Yunfeng had the whip, she finally felt confident. She stopped running, turned around, and glared at them.

Ji Hao and Princess Changyu both backed away...

Mingda got up from the ground and helped Manbao to her feet as well, now standing not far away. Holding the whip, Li Yunfeng swept her gaze over each of them, then fixed it on Manbao.

Mingda pulled Manbao behind him, meeting Li Yunfeng’s gaze, "Cousin, you have already agreed to a polo match the day after tomorrow."

Li Yunfeng tilted her chin up slightly, "I have agreed, but she hasn’t."

Manbao popped her head out from behind Mingda and said, "I’m agreeing now."

Li Yunfeng scoffed, "I’ve changed my mind. I think today is a good day."

Princess Changyu spoke, "Yunfeng, today is the Empress Dowager’s birthday."

Li Yunfeng sneered, "Why didn’t you say that earlier?"

Changyu: "...Who says we didn’t? You just wouldn’t listen."

Ji Hao also stood in front of Zhou Man, tilting his chin up slightly, "It was me you were chasing to beat just now. Now that you’ve got a whip, you switch targets, bullying the weak and fearing the strong. If you are so capable, whip me."

Li Yunfeng was so angry that she clenched her teeth, her grip on the whip loosening and tightening. She really wanted to strike that face of Ji Hao, but still could not bring herself to do it.

Li Yunfeng drew a whip through the air, the sound echoing, as she shouted, "Move aside!"

Ji Hao slightly lifted his chin and replied, "I won’t move."

He glanced over at Princess Mingda with a smirk and said, "Even if I were to yield, there’s still Princess Mingda. Do you dare to hit Princess Mingda?"

After all, Mingda is no Changyu; fighting with Changyu is one thing, but with Mingda, it would be bullying.

Moreover, not only is Mingda younger, but she also has a particularly good impression in the adults’ minds, she’s frail, and she’s a legitimate princess. If she really whipped Mingda, no matter the pretext, it would be her fault!

Li Yunfeng is not foolish enough to lay a hand on Li Mingda.

But her whip skills aren’t bad. As long as Ji Hao steps aside, she’s confident she can whip past Mingda and hit the person she intends to. Thus, she flicked her whip threateningly, "Step aside, or I’ll really whip you. You just hit me."

"Bullshit, you fell on your own."

Li Yunfeng’s whip lashed out through the air; Ji Hao’s pupils shrank as he jumped to the side to dodge. Li Yunfeng retracted her whip and before Ji Hao could react, she lashed out again toward Mingda’s back.

Manbao gently pushed Mingda aside further and jumped to the side herself, but who knew that the whip, as if it had eyes, swept to the side, aiming straight for her face.

Keke said, "Duck down."

Manbao immediately crouched down, and the whip passed over her head. Li Yunfeng, losing momentum, was about to strike again when the Fifth Prince ran over, reaching out to snatch her whip away. He was truly angry as he reprimanded, "Li Yunfeng, what are you doing? Today is the Empress Dowager’s birthday, can’t you let her have a peaceful celebration?"

Li Yunfeng clung to her whip and shouted, "So I’m not tattling now, am I? Let go and let me whip her to let off steam, and we’ll call it even for today’s bullying. Otherwise, this isn’t over between us."

Changyu retorted, "You really know how to twist the truth. Who bullied you? Are you blaming us because you couldn’t win an argument with Ji Hao?"

Ji Hao said, "Everything I said was the truth."

Li Yunfeng began to scream hysterically, and the Fifth Prince, infuriated, turned back and yelled at Princess Changyu and Ji Hao, "Can’t you two be quiet for a moment? Do you really need to make a scene in the main hall to feel satisfied?"

The two of them immediately shut up.

Manbao, seeing the Fifth Prince was unable to take the whip away but Li Yunfeng also unable to wield it, quietly breathed a sigh of relief. She pulled the Commandery Princess Yunfeng aside, "Let’s go."

Let her throw a tantrum; after all, she’s a bully who’s afraid of the tough. If Manbao, the ’soft one,’ leaves, they can fight it out among themselves like deities.

Yunfeng also felt that it was best for Manbao to step aside for now, so she reached out to pull her away.

Seeing them leave, Li Yunfeng called out, "Zhou Man, if you have the guts, don’t leave!"

Manbao waved her hand with a smile, "I’m not capable."

Changyu did not expect her to be so shameless and couldn’t help but snicker out loud, and the Fifth Prince, clutching her whip tightly and seeing Zhou Man and the others turning to leave, also quietly breathed a sigh of relief.

Now he felt that slandering the royal kin was no longer a big deal; as Bai Erlang had said, they can’t really silence the people.

Just as he was thinking of Bai Erlang, Bai Erlang arrived ahead of the Sixth Prince and Yin Huo at a run.

Even though the Sixth Prince and Yin Huo ran over with the Fifth Prince, one was young and the other was frail, so they were much slower. It was unexpected that Bai Erlang, strong and vigorous, was delayed this long as well.

Bai Erlang, panting, arrived next to Manbao and looked her up and down. Noticing her slightly dirty clothes, he asked, "Are you alright?"

Manbao shook her head, "I’m fine, just took a fall."

Bai Erlang let out a sigh of relief, "That’s good. Bai Shan will arrive soon; we’ll hold out a bit longer."

Manbao was taken aback and asked, "Why would Bai Shan come here? Isn’t he recording the Daily Records?"
