Chapter 682: Chapter 682: Investors Coming to Our Door (1)_1

Then Chu Yanxi subtly inquired about Chu Heng’s recent work progress.

She learned that Chu Heng had been making great strides at work, having pried away quite a few deals from the Qin Family.

Even the partnership with Zhengxin was as good as sealed, just waiting for President Li to return from abroad to sign the agreement.

Poor Qin Family was still in the dark, thinking Zhengxin would renew their contract. They were eagerly waiting for President Li to return and re-sign the contract with them!

It was simply laughable!

Everything was fate; had the Qin Family not accidentally botched the renewal of their contract with Zhengxin, necessitating a new agreement, there wouldn’t have been a chance for it to be snagged away!

It seemed even the heavens were on their side!

Besides acquiring properties, the elder Mr. Qin and Mrs. Qin began tapping into their old networks, formally venturing into the education field.

The elderly couple had thought that pushing this through would be arduous and had braced themselves mentally.

But when they actually started, it went unexpectedly smooth.

So smoothly that they themselves were a bit incredulous.

Just then, old man Gu came knocking again.

This time, he wasn’t ranting about repaying favors or making friends, but came straight out saying he wanted to invest in the elder Qin’s educational venture.

"Mr. Gu, don’t be ridiculous. We’ve already made it very clear last time," the elder Mr. Qin said with a look of helplessness.

"Who says I’m being ridiculous! I am serious. I am here to discuss a partnership with you. I want to buy shares, with both money and resources. You have no reason to refuse," declared old man Gu confidently.

Old man Gu was well aware of what the Qin elders needed most at this stage.

The land had been bought, and the unfinished buildings had been taken over.

But the workload that lay ahead was enormous, and involved a wide variety of cooperative industries.

Someone like him, with capital, connections, and resources, was the perfect partner.

From a business standpoint, the Qin elders had no reason to refuse him.

The elder Mr. Qin and Mrs. Qin exchanged glances, their years of tacit understanding allowing them to read each other’s thoughts with just a look.

Then the elder Mr. Qin turned back to old man Gu and said, "Mr. Gu, you need to think this over. Investment carries risks, and you should be more cautious and not act on impulse."

"I’m aware of what you’re undertaking, and I think if it’s done right, it could yield a tremendous return. I trust in your competence and judgment. The most fundamental element of investment is betting on the right people. Investing in the right people is more important than picking the right projects," old man Gu stated with conviction.

This was a principle old man Gu had always followed in his earlier years.

It’s just that many years ago he had retired, and it was his son running the show.

The last time he made an investment was eighteen years ago.

Without waiting for the Qin elders to say anything more, old man Gu gave a nod to his subordinates.

Then a thick business proposal was placed before the Qin elders.

"To show you my sincerity and determination, I have prepared this proposal overnight. Please take a look," said old man Gu.

The proposal might have been rushed out overnight, but old man Gu himself hadn’t lifted a finger.

Old man Gu was only responsible for talking; the real work was done by his son’s subordinates.

With old man Gu’s words having reached this point, the elder Mr. Qin and Mrs. Qin had to take it seriously.

The elders picked up the business proposal and began to look through it...
